I'm just amazed with your thread and trials and errors. There is such good info here, and i love you describe the way the indian saliva "dries" out her buds...

Aloha Bodymind!! Good to head from ya. I finally got a chance to grow and smoke that (NLxBB)xHI .. It was a very unique plant lets put it that way. I was in love with the smell. It was this fruity, tropical lemon vanilla zest thing if I remember right. Very unique. Had good structure also.
BUT, she molded and got PM.I harvested 75% of 2 clones. Too damn much rain for her. First time being over here she was a little unused to this weather.
Smoke was a bit stoney for me, very disorienting and made me spacey. The younger crowd loved it of course,lol
I would grow it again in California. It would be perfect.


Thanks for the kind words. It has been a really tough year weather wise for me so far. My achilles heel. We are due for some sun. PLEASE GOD LET IT BE THIS WEEK, FOR A MONTH..

Even the green house plants are screwed. Powdery mildew is running rampant and all growth is yellow and spindly. This year has been a total bust for me. Enough so that I'm gonna move,enough of this suffering.

The only consolation is that I have found my genetics that I want.

The ADUBB clone from San Diego is a keeper. So is the valley OG...

The real winner however is my Spicy Thai mom from seed I planted. This came from SoCal seed company and this plant has it all. Stinks to high heaven, great profile, vigorous growth, resistant to PM and Mold. Yields like a champion.. What more can I ask for. I may just have found something really good, an elite in my book. This plant is better than any clone I have seen yet from Big I. It's that good

Please tell me you cloned this plant.

The Rajasthan Sativa (I spelled it right this time) does this funny thing where she goes through a flush of new bud growth, seems to tighten up and get more crystals, then does the opposite. She stretches the bud, opens it up and gets airy. It looks like swag weed one day, then I go out and see the potential. I have never had a plant do this at the consitant rate this plant does. It's as if she is drying out her buds, refusing to let mold and water take hold down deep in the buds. I feel like I should spray her with Greencure, but she is so wet, and ts raining so much I don't think it will do any good.
At this point I can HIGHLY recommend looking into North Indian Landrace Sativas if you want an original and highly mold proof experience. I will be shocked if I lose this plant to mold. She has gone through 72" of rain in bloom cycle and not one lost bud to mold yet. I expect another 15-20" before she is done based on weather reports and how this year has gone.[/quote]

Rain sucks but it makes great big plants!

jojo you need to just grow a few LARGE plants, and cover them with pop-up tents when it gets really rainy, thats how they do it in cali, def cuts the mold down even with all the humidity.

Another anti-mold technique is using LOTS of rich worm castings in your mixture, it gives the plants more resistance to mold.

however worm castings can be expensive unless you make it yourself.

I'm not trying to grow big plants, I'm growing BIG BUDS. And rain sucks for big buds. Rain sucks for any buds for that matter. I can grow HUGE plants with no rain and buds are better with less humidity, that is a fact.

I don't have a mold problem.. read my thread. The problem is NO SUN, and RAIN for days on end. I don't care where you are, cali, spain, Hawaii, alaska.. If you don't have sun, you can't grow buds..And rain makes the bus go fluffy and stay loose. Read my thread, really read it. My problem is lack of sunshine.No sun this year.

No I did not. It's not a keeper.I can get my landlady to bring me more seeds if I want, she has a house there. Is there right now as a matter of fact.
So if I want to grow more of this strain, I will grow from seed again looking for a keeper.

Well, she is still out there. This plant being a 100% pure Landrace Sativa, is gonna take forever.I think its got another month easy. The buds are starting to frost up and get some bulk, not much, but some. I am also starting to see caterpillar damage , and with that MOLD.. Its always where the piller' damage is, old shit and cocoons. I have lost maybe a 1/2 oz of buds so far, but Im starting to see them, so there is more I'm not seeing.To late to spray, Im gonna just have to hope for the best.
Got hit really hard with the black sooty mold on the big fan leaves also.Most have turned black, shriveled up and are falling off. Its like a defoliation technique, but one that sucks, literally the life out of your plant. The buds themselves just keep making new leaves and the old ones yellow and turn black as fast as new ones are made. Its quite a sight. I'm hoping that the buds continue to stack the calyxes and get tight, with the leaves yellowing and falling off till harvest. This will cut down on my trim work considerably, as well as improving the bag appeal and quality. The smell is a dead ringer for bubblegum. Smells just like sugary pink bubblegum. I bet most people will mistake this for that,lol.

I'm not sure how the yield will be affected by all these problems I have faced. I'm hoping for a 1/2lb of quality buds at this point. The plant looks like a 2-3 pounder, but the buds are light and airy. Plus they look bigger and denser then they really are I just pray I get anything actually , but she still has/needs time to get some weight and get some frost.

I am praying that nothing happens, cause a cop or a ripper would steal this thing in a heartbeat. She look absolutely HUGE, and the buds look big. Its just nowhere near maturity, at least for me and my standards.Harvested now it would be swaggy immature sativa.

I'm actually puffing on a branch that broke, dried the buds and stuffed em in a pipe. Once I got past the swag taste and let the high come on, its really good smoke. I feel energized and a up, uppity high. Its getting stronger the more I sit here as time goes by. I do believe upon maturity, this might be worth all the trouble. I hope

So far, your right. I'm loving it. The plants have really put on a growth spurt with all this sun, and no rain. I am thankful beyond words A couple more weeks of this and I'm golden.

Well everyone, I can't win for losing... The weather turned to shit again. Been raining for 2 straight days and overcast all day..Any and all progress has been utterly reversed. This year has been a total failure in every regard. This has been my worst year ever, in my whole life and I have been growing since 1993.

Mold is becoming rampant as the caterpillars have invaded and the leaves are all black and yellow n' falling off.. She is at least a month away from being done so I cannot pick the buds early or I will wind up with nothing but swag that I can't even give away. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I cannot spray these buds, as the test branch was a total and complete fail. Ruined the buds and turned all the leaves crispy and black.The buds are all molded out and completely ruined. This was with 1 tbs of Greencure per gallon, the lowest recommended dose. Greencure also turns the hairs black and brown. Makes good buds look like complete swag. This has happened enough times now that I am NEVER gonna use greencure again.
I'm too far into bud to spray for the bugs with anything also, so the caterpillars are just gonna continue to do damage. I look every bud I can over, but those guys are good at hiding, I don't think I can get them all

Which brings me to this conclusion. GROWING LANDRACE SATIVA OUTDOORS THAT TAKES MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS TO BUD SUCKS!!!
It's just not worth the time or energy. It's not...Too many things can go wrong, it just takes too damn long . At least in all this rain it does.. Maybe in a dry climate, sure, it would be epic just not in the jungle. I swear its only on ICmag that growing these sativas is the rage. Plus the end product has no bag appeal really. The smoke might be really good, but that alone does not pay the bills. Its the highly worked, well bred sativas that I will grow from now on in this climate, if I even grow here again..

I gotta say this, if nothing more than to just make myself feel some kind of release. I'm in real trouble financially this year. This is mainly how I have to make my money at this point, and this year has been epic fail.. Im really worried about how I'm gonna make ends meet. I don't think they will, I can't see how they will with the way things are. I am starting to really panic. I'm broke right now, I mean broke. I don't have ANY money, like not a dollar. It really is that bad...Im working off my rent and am going to have to pay my electric and gas bills soon. I lost my job, and my girl this year also. So this has been the worst year of my life. Not to mention my ex wants to take the kids now also.. I have put my heart and soul into my garden this year, and I have nothing to show for it. I feel like a complete failure of a person.. I really hate my life right now.

I broke up with my ex recently. On top of that she took our son who is only one years old. To make things worst is she wont let me see him. I have not seen my son for over 2 months. It will be 3 months in the begining of next month. It fuckn sucks, cause i treated her like a queen. But her fucked up parents have her brain washed... At this point im also stuck between a rock and a hard place. She refuses to let me see my son. So my only option is to take her to court. And at this point and time its not an option for me. Cause like you finances are not good. And i cant afford to go to court. Even though i know thats what i have to do and want to do.

In all this shitty cloud, we just have to keep our head up. Trust me i let it screw me up really bad for like 2 months. I could not eat or sleep. I lost like 20 pounds. I finally realized that im no good to no one if im all fucked up. Even if things were perfect. And as a man we put our women and children first. As they are our main priority. But we must first take care of number 1 and thats us. Cause even when things are perfect, if we are messed up sick, fucked up or whatever. We are useless to them if were not 100% all the way around.

My braddah, my heart and prayers are with you. It will get better, even if it seems to be the end of the world.

JOJO Plant lots of seeds I have a bunch of 1 ft bud plants. It is winter 90 days to harvest.

I harvested my only remaining long season plant today. It should be a joyous occasion, but in reality I'm just glad its all over. The weather took its toll with Downey Mildew, PM and Mold. The caterpillars hit me hard and now that I harvested I see Bore Beetle damage galore.
I am expecting that 2/3 of the plant is worthless, with the remaining buds being B grade at best. So another words 2 lbs+ of absolute shit... The weather just really took a toll on this girl, what can I say Time to fire up the hash bags.. I gotta get something to show for all of this heartache.

I never posted pics cause I'm just to heartbroken to look at them. I just want to forget all about 2012 and move on with my life.

Aloha everyone, wanted to check in. Not sure where I left all this but I can say without a doubt that Im glad the 2012 season is over. I made it through with no rips and no cops. I will say it got a bit hairy in late Oct and Nov, the damn Green Harvest cops came out and hovered over our EMPTY greenhouse. They kept it up for 3 days, we saw the black copter, the D.E.A. and the coast guard, plus both little Hughes copters hovering over our neighborhood.It was nerve racking to say the least. Come to find out it was the people down the street. I got the link, one sec.. Another day in paridise as they say,lol

SOOO, Im just lucky to have harvested all my plants with this HUGE DEA bust 2 streets down...I only found out about this from the news, I guess the junkies are a tight/loose outfit here..

On another note, I turned that Rajistan Sativa into the best BHO that we have ever seen. Its world class hash oil, one hit shit.. I will get into this more in my next post.

The only strains Im growing right now are ADUBB, Valley OG and Spicy Thai.. Im gonna plant some seeds this week, will post the new line up for Mold proof jungle strains this week also. Hope everyone is safe and have a happy holiday

Well here it is, another year. another crop...

I have the results from my last grow, the ADUBB and Spicy Thai were keepers. ABSOLUTE CHRONIC!!!! The Spicy Thai had mold damage, but it was acceptable, the ADUBB had hardly any. By that I mean maybe 1 gr or 2 grams lost to mold, never had to worry.. Both strains susceptible to PM Both strains are straight fire and everyone loves them, Its all I want to smoke at this point. The equalizer is the BHO I made from the 100% sativas. Best hash I have ever smoked, no ceiling, no comedown, its a ride to the other side straight to space...You don't even realize how high you are till you stand up or try n drive,lol.. I have like another # to turn into oil
