Do you guys use organic blackstrap? or just the regular blackstrap? I know 'organic' is supposed to be better, but I think the nutrition facts look more appealing on the one that is not organic...

I got the organic one because it didn't have any sodium.

yes, you can foliar feed w/ molasses. can foliar the entire plant; here, in imagination, is done up until week 6...

ideally, want to spray underside of leaves. also, foliar feed should be @ ph 7.0+. can use couple drops of unscented baby oil for surfacant.

that is blackstrap molasses...in fact, that is the best food grade blackstrap molasses on shelves, @ 730mg k, 115mg ca, b1, etc per tbsp.

wholesome sweeteners organic blackstrap molasses...
:yeahthatsis the stuff you want...

yes, but dont post pics of garden... have plants that only get molasses & myco - no traditional npk ferts... same vigor as reg ferted plants. more aromatic, cleaner taste, fuller terrior, more filling tomatoes:D... dont really measure y.eld...

other molasses options...:

there are several different brands. usually only ~10-12 coins per gallon...
food grade, hort, or animal grade can be foliar & media applied...

enjoy your garden!
Woohoo, I guessed right! Lol, I was standing there for like 20 minutes looking at the nutrient profiles on them, and when I saw that it had cal and mag and all the good stuff I was looking for, plus it had no pesticides or anything, I decided it couldn't do too much damage :)

So you guys actually use it every watering? I was using it once a week :(

After going through EVERY PAGE of this thread there still has NOT been a complete consensus on which Blackstrap is best.

Brer Rabbit is most popular but not clearly defined as BEST.

Where-as the Wholesome Sweeteners isn't nearly as popular but was called "the best" by one ICmag member = mistress.

When these two are compared the first and most obvious thing is the difference in potassium (k) with Brer Rabbit coming in at less than half of the Wholesome Sweetener and also the Wholesome Sweetener contains 0% sodium.

brer rabbit molasses, full flavor:

potassium 290 mg 8%
calcium 10%
magnesium 20%
iron 15%
sodium 25 mg 1%
total carbohydrates 15 g 5%
sugars 11 g

wholesome sweeteners organic molasses: [organic and fair trade cert.]
potassium 730 mg 20%
calcium 115 mg 10%
magnesium 8%
iron 15%
vitamin b6 10%
sodium 0%
total carbohydrates 14 g 4%
sugars 10 g

SO ... which is BEST and why ??

I used grandmas mollasses on my last grow for a few bubbelicious plants and to be honest, I wasnt impressed.. It may be my imagination, but I thought it gave them a funny smell/taste and didnt improve yield at all. And it raises your PH like crazy.
