I wont comment on the case itself. But Im damn tired of how the courts and cops play the "what if" game. Meaning that anytime something happens they always bring up "Well he could have died that night" or "He could have lost his job". So what? HE DIDNT die or lose his job so why is that a court argument? Ive had that same argument used against me in the past and it's always trumped up way bigger than the reality of the situation. Its funny to me how an illegal debate tactic is perfectly acceptable in a court of law with due process rights.

Im just barely out of my 20's, for the record.

And I think cops use all sorts of dirty tactics. like the "What if?" one you mentioned. One that has been used against me a bunch is, what I like to call, "shotgun charges". It involves writing the perp 10+ different, completely bogus, charges because the police know you cant afford to fight them all, and will be FORCED to accept a plea bargain.

AFOAF was once charged with illegal xfer of a firearm (that didnt even exist), gathering for drug use, occupying a drug house, possession, paraphanalia, intent to manufacture LSA, intent to distribute (because of a $1 postal scale), tax stamp violations, etc.

all this guy did was smoke a pipe in his house, didnt even sell drugs. But he couldnt afford to fight every charge, so now hes a felon. "To serve and Protect" Amen.

Been there done that with the shotgun thing, but still, you can't say every cop does this just from your or my experience, because we know for a fact that not every cop does this in every case....

The what if thing is perfectly plausible. They are demonstrating the level of dangerousness that the act these people pulled could have caused. It is understandable to assume that someone being drugged without them knowing could lead to some sort of harm, especially if driving a car.

I do appreciate the perspective that the other poster has about the what if thing, and it not being reality, because it's a valid point, but still, I feel it's plausible enough to use, it's just showing how serious the crime really is, it isn't accusing them of a situation they didn't do..ya know?

A good cop busting a rape in progress is another

Find me one story on the net of this happening .

You know the old saying....theres never a cop around when you need one.

my buddy got beat up by some cops and i saw the whole thing , they stripped him down and beat him up and kept spraying pepper spray in his eyes till his eyes started watering then they would be like " whats the matter pussy u crying , not so tough now", then i heard one of the cops say " hey , u guys gotta come see this " to the other cops , then there was a crowd of them and they beat him up one more time and got a good laugh.

I've been witness to that sort of scenario drunkenstoner with one of my mates,,, shit I even had Star Force (elite wankers my ass) pin me up against a cyclone fence with my nose pushed thru my head ,, while there were 2 other cops stopping any potential witnesses from entering the lane way. This was in a public place! Strip searched first of course,, & all for what?,, they suspected I was in possession of drugs,, I had nothing, it was a bullshit excuse!

I'm under no delusion that the cops are there solely to help us. A job like that can twist any persons view of the world and now they do see large chunks of the public as the enemy to be hassled and arrested.

But I am against people being drugged against their will. So you know, it shouldn't have happened and if someone did that to me I'd expect them to go to prison for a month or so.

yea it is not a good thing to do they should of known better , but i still think its one of those things that a couple years down the road both parties will have a chuckle about i bet " remember those pigs we got high as fuck lol" and "remember those little burger stoners who put weed in our burgers , lol watta trip. "
