get an hps for flower if possible

oh how i wish i could

but as for now the serious lack of funds are kicking my ass !

as of right now i have no choice but to grow with cfl`s

i got 2 of those halogen lights that people use on the side of their house that are motioned censored but heard their absolutely no good for growing

so i just got to make due with what i got for now !!!

but i will get an hps as soon as i can but it wont be during this grow :wallbash:

not sure if your a magyver so to speak but you can take a regular hps light from outside and take it apart to make it a remote ballast. you can get one of these fixtures for about 30 bucks for a 70 watt hps at home cheapo or lowes and 150 watts for 40 to 45 hope this helps and always mix spectrums when possible to answer your op

im not good with all the electrical shit !

i mean i can wire up shit , pre wired sockets , car stereos , amps, just simple shit

iv never tried to wire up a ballast or anything of the sort

im not to literate in that area , wish i was though....

Stuff like leccy is best left to people who have experience in that field imo not trying to be negative just have dislocated my own shoulder cos of being electrocuted doing things i shouldnt have been[just undid a 600 with sweaty hands from working...]so please be carefull dude.If your skilled then go for it but it doesnt sound like you are from your response.

Im assuming your relatively new to growing ?so hope u dont think im patronising with this but as a rule you want blue for veg and red for flower.A mix of the two at any stage will be better than one on its own.If you want to try mixing things up blue is thought to produce more terpenes and resins than red, while red will have a greater yield, and infact many folks run blue spectrums or at least include some blue,a good ratio would be either 2 blue one red or vice versa.
Plants will grow fine with it either way round, just when you get into maximising your set up you might think about tweaking things.

enjoy your growing m8!

thanks for your reply my man

yes im a new grower

iv grown a couple plants through the years

but it was just bag seed that i put out side

never did the nutes i would just

water them with that mg plant food and that was it

so when it comes to growing and actually adding nutes

and the different ways to take care of the plants

im at a total loss !!

now as the light goes

i understand about 6500k ( veg ) and 2700k ( flower )

i just didnt know if i could mix the two !

so would it be better just to add more 2700k to my 12/12 grow

or would it be better to mix

what is more beneficial ?

i understand that more light is better

im just saying , more 2700k or mix it ya know ?

Mixing is always better for an overall healthy plant. You might be able to get more yield with say 2 red spectrum bulbs during flower to 1 red and 1 blue, but the mixed spectrum would probably give you better bud.

so an equal amount would be sufficient .

like 2 2700k and 2 6500k for example ?

How do you turn a lamp in to a ballast ?????

The ballast is inside the lamp housing as well as ignitor and cap. nothing to it.If you had a clue floro lgt fixtures also have a ballast etc...I do agree if you are not a dyr type of person dont bother ,but its worth the short $
