Misting clones on vacation???

G

Guest

I have 35 unrooted clones that are probably 2-3 days from showing roots. I have to leave for Christmas for 3 days and I need a way to keep them moist. They are in a humidity dome, and right now they can go about 1.5-2 days between sprayings. Is there something I can setup to slightly mist the babies?

Thanks,
Stifler

the only thing I can think of is one of the spray bottles with a fan. They run off batteries and you would have to find a way to put it on a timer. Probably more hassle than its worth. How about just spraying the dome real good and putting some water in the tray (not on the media)

Ya, but you want the clones moist but not too moist. I want the roots to search out moisture, not be completely saturated. Still looking for help, thanks for your input yamaha.

I dont mist my clones at all after 2nd day after taking, If you wet the medium real good put just enough water in the bottom to keep humudity up they should be fine, make sure you turn off heat mat if your using one and very little light. It might slow them down but at least you wont lose them

When I did use a dome, I found it best to put them in and leave them alone for 2 weeks. I think Grizz hit the mark.

if you need something buy a small water pump and either you can just poke a lot of holes in the irrigation line or they also have some fittings that have a mist nozzle but they require that you have enough psi to push the water out in that manner. Than just set it and forget it.
