Many people that lived in Mn. left to another state for peace of mind. We lived in Alexandria, beautiful little community. Walk the Glenwood park trails, there are several skunk X Thai plants growing. Atleast last summer we will have to see if they come up this year.

As expected yet another victory in Minnesotas Med MJ legalization process.

Minnesota Senate officially passes medical marijuana bill!

Dear Dave (Smith):

Victory! Today, the Minnesota Senate voted 35-29 in favor of MPP's medical marijuana bill, which would protect seriously ill patients from arrest for using their doctor-recommended medicine.

On the House side, MPP's medical marijuana bill will be considered by the House Finance Committee within days as it winds its way to the House floor within the next few weeks.

Together, we can maintain the momentum and pass the medical marijuana bill into law this session; however, it's not easy. Would you please consider donating $10 or more to the lobbying effort today?

These are exciting developments, and while we celebrate our success today, remember that we are far from a compassionate medical marijuana law in Minnesota.

Now more than ever, we need your help to push this bill through the House of Representatives. Please contact your representative today and urge him or her to vote in favor of H.F. 292. Cancer, HIV/ AIDS, and multiple sclerosis patients are counting on you!

Thank you for all you have done to get us to this point. Please pass this alert on to everyone you know in Minnesota, and let's make Minnesota the 14th medical marijuana state.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Newman

Fuck you very much Tim.......

Fuck you very much Tim.......

Dear Dave (Smith):

Unfortunately Governor Pawlenty has vetoed the medical marijuana bill.

MPP would like to thank all of the courageous patients, doctors, nurses, and ordinary Minnesotans who testified on behalf of the bill, signed statements of principle, sent e-mails, and made phone calls. In particular, we'd like to thank Joni Whiting, Kathy Rippentrop, K.K. Forss, Don Haumant, Dr. George Wagoner, Norm Stamper, Kendra Miller, Ron Oveson, Robert Youcha, Neil Haugerud, Jerry and Carmen Peterson, Roy Sandstrom, Harold Nicol, James Wellman, Matthew Brozen, Darrell Paulen, Shannon Pakonen, Dr. Todd Handel, Dr. Greg Carter and Shelley Anklan. Your bravery, sacrifice, tenacity, and compassion are inspiring to all of us.

We would also like to thank Sen. Steve Murphy (DFL-Red Wing) for taking the lead on this critical issue in the Senate, along with co-sponsors Sens. Geoff Michel (R-Edina), Debbie Johnson (R-Ham Lake), Linda Higgins (DFL-Minneapolis), and John Marty (DFL-Roseville); and our House author Rep. Tom Rukavina (DFL-Virginia), along with all 28co-authors. And finally, we thank all 105 legislators who voted for passage of the medical marijuana bill.

Thank you again to everyone who participated in this effort. We have moved the bar significantly, and it's only a matter of time until we have an effective medical marijuana law on the books in Minnesota.

Sincerely,
