Minions of the Dark

Here's a couple pics of that bud. It's 2 1/2 inches across and about 18 inches long. I've only ever grown God Bud before but they look like completely different plants. This bud has zero compression to it when squeezed and my god bud is covered in a blanket of hairs, while the Goblin Queen seems to have tiny roses bursting out everywhere.

I flowered out one other goblin queen so far. It had golf ball sized nugs all over it. Dried to 8 oz from a plant no more than 3 1/2 feet from soil. :) very Stoney. I smoke 2 bowls a day half at a time and am stoned all day. (I sprained my ankle so I haven't been moving much anyways. Lol) the taste is hard to discribe. It's a little bit grape and spice. The smoke in the room after a bowl smells like incense. :)

I need to know how cold worms can get before they get messed up. Right now i have had my bin in the building but this morning when turning the compost i noticed larvae around the vent holes. Also noticed small fibers like hair. Looked like tiny lawn clippings. Some of the larvae was movin around so i grabbed the scope and ssaw tiny red bugs. Also saw lil baby red worms. I dont need bug issues and i dont want to stress.. Can i put my bin outaide where we still have a couple below freezing nights and are the bugs normal? The compost looks good wiith no mold..

Worms can handle cold just fine.
Putting them out will do fine for you.

Make sure compost is kept on the wet side for your worms.
Otherwise they try to escape to greener pastures.
Worms will migrate naturaly when over crowded, too wet or too dry.

The cold will kill most adult bad bugs.
Not sure what those bugs are, but can tell you to vacuum them out and get rid of them.
Soil mite adults are very small and babies are microscopic.
So if you can see them easily, then not soil mites.

upon further consideration... you MUST identify your mites....Most worm beds usually contain several species of mites. Earthworm mites are small and are usually brown, reddish or somewhere in-between. They tend to concentrate near the edges and surfaces of the worm beds and around clusters of feed... however, Red spider mites are ALSO very common in worm bins. They are usually present when there is a source of bread and protein.... I've included some links to assist you in identifying your creatures...

I'm at day 65 right now. How much longer do you think I should let her go?

Thank you for allowing me to participate. I've learned do much along the way! :D

Feels like playing poker and having good luck.
At some point, gotta take your winnings and walk away.

I don't know how many times I've grown monster buds, seen it still growing, waited more than I should, ended up with some mold right in the middle of the bud.

I say if this is a prize bud, take your winnings and celebrate a bud well grown.
Set a day this weekend and chop it down.

Seafour i noticed these larvae were bunched up around the vent holes. I have never fed these worms any kind of breads. It has been a diet of greens, carrots and mistly apples no skin for fruit. Two weeks ago i got some lawn clippings that ad been piled up since summer and leaves from the yard ground upkinda fine and mixed that in with the compost. Dont know if that was the problem. In any case a thorough cleaning and vacuum followed by perimeter spray inside and out has already been done.

Reckon I never updated y'all.... in the game of clones... out of 6 I got 3 up 3 down. Result: too much clover chokes out the clones before they can root... I'll still add clover seed.... just not nearly that much.

I think it's safe to assume that my noc is a boy.... unless there's a sativa heavy pheno LOL

Additional item.... anyone know what could cause a single branch to wilt? I've already amputated the limb... no black rings or marks indicating fusarium wilt.... could it be that a mild root fungus would affect only one branch? possible, but doubtful... I'd expect to see overall wilting. the one branch thing is a puzzler....

Outdoors I have.
Not sure how or what the cause.
You will notice that when you remove the branch that it will be barely attached to the main stem.
Somehow it gets a crack at top side of the lower branch connection, then gets separated, then death to the branch.
Most likely, crack - moisture - fungus - death.

Now it is time for my weekly Sanctuary Garden pictures. These are all seedlings that are entering the early teenage weeks. I just transplanted them from 4" pots to gallon pots a week ago. I think the roots are taking to the soil and these are sprouting up. These are coming along nicely and I hope in 10 more days or so I'll get some idea of the sex.

While I don't know the sex of the seedlings I do know the sex of these, all females. These just showed roots this week so I dusted them with VAM and transplanted to 4" pots. If they go like the seedlings I'll have them in 1 gallon pots in a week.

there are literally 100's of 1000's of mites in various families.... those are not a pest that I'm aware of... although better shots would be nice, I'd say that if they are fast moving, they are likely to be a predator, however the mouthpart on one seems to extend downward... so a predatory mite becomes less likely.

It is more likely that they are a decomposer... however they may be the canary in your coal mine... to be used as an indicator of the overall health of the worm bin... are the attempting to abandon ship? too many could take up real estate displacing your worms a bit... if this is the case.. try a large chunk of watermelon rind overnight... remove it (and its trespassers) in the morning... rinse and repeat until the population is lessened...

Don't like bugs in any way in the garden. Had aphids munching on roots that hopefully are gone. It seems like if it's not one pest it's another. Soil is not as much fun when bugs decide to make a home.

I had 6 possible clones and as of yesterday I had 5 rooted. Well I checked this morning and the 6th one finally showed roots. This is one I was hoping to get to grow because of the variegated leaf coloring. I'm curious to see if this variegation will show up in later leaf development.

beautiful goblin coloring..... I wonder.... if the GQ theory is correct... then that cut should show more goblin coloring I'd tend to think. which would be awesome... I'll need to take a clone off an marked up Goblin if it works LOL

That goblin won't keep that color, I've tried it.
I took that cut for the fun of it.
Only affects 1-5% of the plant normally.
Goblin and dark goblin act similarly.
GQ is a whole nother genetic mess.

I started with 35 GQ seedlings, now down to 19.
16 were so fucked up a priest couldn't save their souls.
Gotta lower my expectations to 12 females from this run.
Luckily I still have 2 nice ones in addition.
