Mighty Mite

From what I understand the Mighty Mite available from MMSC was garbage and actually didn't even autoflower or finish very early.

I have some good experience with "real" mighty mite seeds. It's actually part of my Guerilla Gold strain.

Anyway, a great breeder known as "Breederbrad" has the real mighty mite seeds. He originally got them from a fellow breeder who was known as "timetwarp". Well, a few years back breederbrad gave me some mighty mite seeds and they were really something special. They flowered so fast, it was amazing. I planted about June 1st and harvested all the mighty mites between August 8th and 12th. They clearly autoflowered because buds began forming around the longest day of the year for us (june 21). The yield was pretty small with most just under or over an ounce (growing conditions were nowhere near perfect). However, the quality of the buds was excellent. They had very dense trichome coverage and a nice piney smell and taste. The stone was heavy, creepy, and very intoxicating.

I haven't heard from breederbrad in a while, so I don't know if he plans on breeding and distributing the MM. However, a great grower and breeder from Quebec, known as "Jaysprout" has been working with these MM seeds that he got from breederbrad. I know he crossed the MM to his freezeland and Durban, so hopefully he made more pure mighty mite seeds. He can be found at unleashthegreen.

Here's a few pictures of pure Mighty Mite from Breederbrad:

I grew out Mighty Mite,Mighty Mite x Peak19/AK47, Dutch Treat and Mango Cream from Dtox last year and all were crap.
MM was very late mellow high, but very late, MM x Peak19/AK47 was hermy with every plant, DT had poor germination, was late and totally leafy, Mango cream had very low growin potential, also mould sensitive.
So i think these all were from Dtox so i dont know but i never more want to order from this source (i know that mia for now)

I've grown out dtox MMxPeak19/ak47. It finishes for me around sept 25, some go till oct 10th reaching 9-12 feet in height. The high is a creeper with more of a relaxing high. I made f2's and the smell run from Cherry to Orange. I haven’t had any hermies, even when using clones.

Into october?

Into october?

To be honest I think that any "mighty mite" that a certain percentage of which finish so much later are not pure mighty mites. They are most likely someone's attempt to create an early flowering strain using Ruderalis genes. Mighty mite was selectively bred out to finish early for many years up in BC when growers noticed some that some of there plants were finishing in mid august...I think any outdoor grower can see the benefit of that. Whatever it is its not pure cuz unless I let mine go I never have had one that needed to go past 7th of September ever. Just in time to go to college a week late....and in NYC I have no problem getting ride of it for 300 a z. I just have to worry about school and can relax and not have to work myself to death in the horribly high cost of living in that area.

Also...Greens yours look very nice.....I find that putting them outside with a good amount of bulk (2-3 weeks veg) on the clones will shoot the yield up to 2-3 oz...my biggest was 5 oz last year it had serious vigor an a 4 week run indoors.

Those MM X Freezeland sound very nice freezeland vegs faster then any plant i have come across

I dont know why but i think all plants of mmxpeak19/ak47 went hermy in all spots where i grew last year. Had very bad growing potential and had harvest time around from october-end oct.. I dont know why especially when this is in sharp contrast to many growers observations but this is fact what i got.
High was creeping, nice on sativa side but low potency but i knew these are not killers.
So high is ok but all with growing and flowering was terrible. What is interesting that all Dtox strains were in really sharp contrast to all anything i i grew, were crap genetics for sure.

DDT were those from seed?

DDT were those from seed?

I have had really bad luck putting seedlings outside even when they are a foot and a half high of my MM and MM X pineberry. But clones that size really catch on fast and have stood strong during some frost in late flower no problem (this was in a high altitude location normally its not a problem do to how early they are done).

I grew these from seeds. No this was due bad genetics and no these problems. Very late, very low growin potential, very very slow flowering i almost feel i grow some tropical sativa when i saw this flowering speed. As ni told all strains i grew last year from Dtox were crap. All othres strains from different sources were much much better. Maybe grow only few plants and has poor selection maybe some incident with hermy destroyied his genetics for next year, i dont know but fact is these were crap. Best of these was pure Mighty Mite but still very late-middle-end october. I live on 49 north, 400m over sea.
But sure Dtox was nice guy but as i experienced with bad genetics:(

Im sorry to hear that

Im sorry to hear that

Yeah it might of been bag seed or something. I would have been very disappointed. Where ever Greens got his I would say is the best place those look very nice. In fact better then the mighty mites Ive grown indoors! And having your crop in the middle of august when everyone else has a month to 2 months to go feels really good...peace

Greens what kind of nutes do u use?

I use advanced mother earth organic tea and bone and blood meal added to soil

Hey guys,

Yeah, it's funny how their can be so much variation using the same genetics in different environments. DDT, maybe dtox pollinated a female with a few bananas and he did not notice. Perhaps you got seeds like that or something. Who knows...

Kneehigh, it's weird because I've always noticed that my seedlings take off better than my clones outside. They seem to have more vigor from seed with pretty much every strain I can remember outdoors. For sure with Guerilla Gold, it will grow better from seed.

I use Earth Juice nutes including the catalyst. I also mix in worm castings, tropical bat guano, top soil, and dolomite lime to the coco coir.

I've also had success in the past just using those slow release ferts as well.

Sure i think also this that i must get seeds which has some bananas as second part of their genetics.
But what was sad that all his genetics i got was crap, no one strain was ok, maybe pure mighty mite was so so but was simple nonacceptable late:)
Sure you Guerilla Gold is in other leaggue.

Well, all I can say is thank you for complimenting my genetics although I don't like to see another breeder's stuff slammed so hard. However, you are completely right, Mighty Mite should never take until October. That's ridiculous. It is a complete piss-off when your plants don't finish until two months after when the breeder says they should be done. I was so pissed growing East Island's Dutch Treat that was supposed to finish at the beginning of September and only two out of six were close to finished when we got a hard freeze at the beginning of October.

See, any of my GG lines will be absolutely all finished in September and most of the GG#2s are done in August. I grow out hundreds and not even one of them is too late.

Alright later,

ddt, sorry about your expireiences with dtox's gear. I gotta say your experiences have been totally different from mine though,I tried like 6 or so of his strains and the mighty mite /ak47 was the only strain I dropped. it wasn't bad herb but it just didn't measure up potency wise to the other strains that I have. I certainly never saw any bannanas on that strain or any other strain that I got from dtox.i'm still running Northernberry f2,bubblegum f2,romberry haze, michoacon x buddhas sister.i think I have more still actually but once you hit about a dozen strains you lose track once in awhile.Anyhow I hope he is safe and still breeding.peace
