place a shot in the knee and this would disable. knowing that these fucks practice placing bullets into a three inch circle, it's hard to comprehend why they would shoot to kill when they were unbeknownst to him.

i'll gladly wear the title of imbecile, if it makes you feel any safer in your little world...and your little world is getting smaller by the moment.

at least i present myself as someone willing to express the 'innocent until proven guilty' as it were...and not 'let's shoot first and question later' paradigm that these thugs excercised.

Bassler had 35 days in which he could have turned himself in and faced a jury. He chose to play war games instead, you know 'live by the gun, die by the gun'. LEO left him notes in the woods indicating how he could surrender. Did you happen to see any of the deer cam footage of bassler? Dressed in all black with an sks breaking into cabins? What if that was your cabin & you were sleeping? Would you offer him a bong rip, how high are you? I'm glad he won't be wasting any more tax payer money.

some more food for thought. Bassler brought the heat down on a lot of growers in the area, people had law enforcement of all kinds going through there properties looking for him, all sorts of air support above looking for him. He was no friend to the local growers.

Oh my God... none of the articles I read said that he'd gutted the man. I feel even worse for the families involved now, as though it weren't bad enough just murdering someone.

I've had too many occasions to deal with schizophrenics. It's not their fault, but neither are they safe to be around, simply because there's no way to have the first clue as to what's going on inside their heads.

It's all just incredibly sad, all the way around. I can't say there could have been hope for Bassler had he received appropriate Dx and Tx, but perhaps the victims would still be alive.

So blasting him on day 36 is cool and day 34 is bad. He was a messed up guy who didn't do anyone any favors, killed others allegedly in really weird ways, therefore as a society we should pay to execute him without trial?

Leaving notes in the woods that weren't listened to is provocation to shoot on sight?

Pretty lackadaisical with other people's safety, aren't you? Perhaps if he had been a little closer to Nevada......
