so youre telling me that those 3 foot tall monsters are rooted in that tub of hydroton? that tub must be SOLID with roots by now. does the hydroton get displaced by the rootmass?

1 thai stick sativa in a scrog. hard to tell size but those tops are close to 2 feet above the screen. this beast grows multiple inches per day. gonna get the phosphoload soon.

Bababooey: It is both (drip feed & drain back to rez), yes I have had problems with roots. It flooded a gallon or 2 once. I have my pump on a timer to run every 2 hours for 20 minutes. When I noticed it was flooding I shortened my flood time. My tub is only 2'x2', my friend gave it to me. I want to get a 3'x3' tub soon.

This is at about 20 days. But, remember I put the nutes to her too quick and killed her two sisters. I'm using 14 days here for reference.

I tried to use the built in fan for the fridge, but it didn't move enough air to keep temps down. As you can see I have a temp set up with a blower duct taped to the back.

Bababooey - The C24 is used by a few people here and works really good, I suggest any one who wants to grow personal herb in a convenient discrete cabnate they should spend the 100 bucks at Home Depot on the cab. You can see this cab is nicer than mine, with that said mine isn't any high school science project either. I'll have to buy some batteries for the camera so I can show you mine. It has a home made cool tube with a 250cfm inline fan to exhaust. I have about 300 bucks invested in the cabinet and it is a pretty controlled environment, small enough for easy effective co2 applications should you be able to afford it.

Yes this is my first run with any real genetics and am looking forward to 100% knowing what strain I'm smoking, I am a little sad I don't have enough money to clone them and keep the clones going for a second round but I'm hoping for some new genetics to be coming my way soon

RF: Nice Cinnamons! Is that Cinnamon Haze? I dont think so, I think FS's Cinnamon is different, more indica. I can almost smell those buds...


DJ: It's impressive you're getting such big plants from a 2x2 res. I had an opportunity to buy a 3x3 once, but my closet's only 2 ft deep...
do you use the tinfoil to seperate your pucks and to keep them upright? i know whenever i move my dome the pucks tend to get knocked over...
that's an impressive selection of nutes/supps/ph control. i notice you have a lot of the bc products. i use the GH series myself. i didnt know fox farm makes ferts, thought they just made soil. are your hydro nutes also organic? does it make a difference from inorganic? i toy with the idea of switching, but i dont know if it would make a noticeable difference, plus id have to buy all new nutes...
that aerocloner looks pretty sweet. i have a 10 spot bubble tub to veg my clones out. let us know how that works out for you...

R1: Impressive bud shot! do you have a DSLR or is that just a really good digimacro? you gotta love it when the stems of the fan leaves are covered in trichs... hmmm, frosty trim...

DB: I love what you did with the fridge! ive read posts from another grower who converted an old fridge into a grow cab, he said you can stand outside it and not know it's a grow cab. is your setup pretty stealth except for the fan noise? thats the great thing about fridges, they're designed to be air and light proof, silent too if you can stick the fan inside....

PC: thanks for the photos on the jelly hash! i have enough material for a run, but im thinking ill wait until the next round of harvests, maybe late Jan...
that's a lot of good looking kief from your screen box. what do you do with the kiefed buds, cook with them? or do they go into the butane tube?
whats the ratio of bud to BHO to kief? ive read that most people use a ratio of one part BHO to 2-3 parts kief.
its nice that you have a room you can hangdry in. when i chop, i trim immediately and put them into a rubbermaid tub that i made into a dryer box (cut a couple holes in, installed a pc fan...). when they're dry, i trim the individual buds from the stems and bag them.

im using your pink foam insulation board to hold my clones in place in the netpots! works very well, so far. i think, because there's no hydroton filling up the space, the roots may even grow faster...




added 6 more clones to the tub, 10 total. only ran 3 last time and still got two quart size bags full.

I just wanted to say whats up to all my fellow mid-westerners in the house!! Des Moines basement grower here. Been trolling around IC mag a bit, and I think I may have found my place to stop in and chill.

I am currently working with 2200k lights (2x 600 & 1k on a mover) and I have switched to all hydro within the last few months. Right now I have been using 5 gallon DWC buckets and some home made aero tubes. I am still trying different hydro nutes to figure out what one I like best....

The strains that I am rollin with right now are:

1) Romulan x Apollo 13
2) Bubbleberry X Nevilles Haze
3) Cali Indica x UNKNOWN

As soon as I have a few posts under my belt and I can post links to my bucket, I will share some pics. Until then, all the best....

Baba: That cinn came from a 30 seed run I did about a year ago. Seeds were from Female Seeds. The pheno pictured I refer to as cinn haze because it is very hazy. She was at 65days-ish in that pic and she'll go 90 days at least. Out of the thirty I found two other interesting phenos that I wanted to run again including a very very fruity tropical one and a spicy cinnamon pheno that is so cinnamon that it makes you want to sneeze when you smell it. They are all very sativa and go at least 90 days.

Phil, that special blend looks intense. Nice work mang!
