Just bought a Fem 5 pack of Jorge's Diamonds #1 from Dutch Passion, a Fem 5 pack of Super Silver Haze from Green House, & a Fem 5 pack of Lemon Skunk from Green House. Any of you midwest growers seen JD#1 or Lemon Skunk? I have a 400 watt switchable & a 1000 watt switchable, and I would like to have a veg/ cloning chamber & a flowering indoor chamber. The thing is I want to find some mothers & clones to keep under the 400 and then flower under the 1000 watter but I still want to grow some clones outdoor...any suggestions on these strains outdoors? I also have 5 Durban Poison seeds I didn't use from last year.
PB: Those cfl arrays look powerful. im thinking i need to supplement my mom and veg area with more light. wont be going to ann arbor though for that, little bit out of the way for me. 
CA: is that the thunk? i'm pretty close to harvest(s) myself. its gonna be a good thanksgiving, ill tell you that.
meth coast? bleh. i know crystal is popular in rural areas, and hard to get away from if it's big in your area, but we should try to disassociate ourselves from that...
AB: you must have the secret number to 'dank freebies r us' cause it seems like every other week ur picking up some tasty sounding genetics. i only have 3 strains, soon to be 4 or 5, and i dont know how im gonna run them all, so i dont know how you decide which ones to run from your strain list. thats a good problem to have, i think. 
DJ: Greenhouse gets a lot of flack but a friend of a friend grew out the fem lemon skunk and it was supposedly the bomb (didnt try it myself, but my friend wouldn't bs me on that), supposedly some of the best stuff he's grown, better than the flo im growing (i got the flo seeds from him).
dont know too much about outdoor growing, i would think if you're midwest any hybrid should do well out here, maybe the most important thing is to keep animals away from them, a deer can ravage a just planted crop in minutes. check out the outdoors threads here. i think you can do a couple harvests with the long growing season we have here (April to Oct) - although planting in april might be a little early. weather makes a big diff of course; all the rain we got this year hurt a lot of outdoors crops ive read...

What's up Midwest brethren? How's everyone doing out there? It's starting to get pretty fucking cold, just a few days ago it was totally shorts and t-shirt weather, now it's barely above freezing. Congrats to you guy's in Michigan, 13 states with MMJ is really something else. Woo Obama, we got it guys! (From what I gather most of you went Obama).
I've been sort of busy lately, nothing much going on but I got my 150w hps vaportight remote ballasted and working nicely, I'm about to go out and get some supplies to make the cooltube. At first I was a little concerned that the 150w wasn't going to be enough for this little cab, but holy shit it's much brighter than I anticipated. I guess I was thinking double my 2x 40w CFLS, but the intensity is much much more than that. Now I just need to gather some miscellaneous crap to setup the cab, and the fan/filter.

I can't believe I just now find this Midwest Thread!!! ooops! Thanks to everyone!!!! my current strains are DP Blueberry, DP Shaman, DP Durban Poison, DP Jorges' Diamonds #1, GHS Super Silver Haze, & GHS Lemon Skunk.

Argh! Well I've had my first serious complication. Nothing game ending (yet) but last night I went into my room and found only the 400w hps on and not the 1000w. After a bit of detective work it turns out the 1000w bulb seems to be burned out, which is a shame because the bulb didn't even last one grow. Both the 400w and the 1000w are hortilux brand and I'm pretty disappointed but I guess sometimes you just get a dud. I was able to move some cfl's around and adjust the positioning of the 400w so there's a pretty even spread of light but it is far less lumens than with the 1000w obviously.
Of course this happens on a Saturday night so no stores are open Sunday and I'm stuck waiting 2 full light cycles before I can get a new bulb. Hopefully this doesn't lead to any hermies. The plants are anywhere between 1 to 4 weeks from finishing so they've got a good amount of weight already but every day without light hurts.
Has anyone else ever had a bulb burn out in less than 1 grow? This is really disheartening.

Heres a few plants i cut at around day 60 to see, what the difference in high will be. Day 70-80 is when i used to cut but to heavy for the wifey, so im tryin a lil sooner.
One thing i did notice is they didnt fattin up to much, but good enough.

what do you grow under smoke1, a 150w? what do you thing of the c99 f2s or mota's purp kush?

so next run i have a little project i want to experiment on. this involves making limited seeds via single branch pollenation. i've chosen to use the white, sfv, and jtr pink lemonade to use as females in crosses.
what kind of males/pollen are floating around? would be fun to do a seed project for the murda crew. lemme know what you guys think.

bx1 x wreck, chemsg, mountain mix, pommelo, bubba creek, ogkac-99, ecsd x std, and ww x bb bx2 - im bound to get males out of those since the came from seed, and the trainwreck pollen will be saved for sure.
murda projects sound fun... something super tasty would get my bet. potency is good too, but i like me some tasties!

if u gots them bulbs from altgarden they usually scribe on the metal piece of the bulb the date u bought the bulb so u can return it...
if it ever happens again ur better off just keeping the plants in the dark for 3 days instead of trying to keep the lite cycle going....count the 3 days the lite was off as 1 day....Hope this helps.
edit:I didnt get a chance to go to my growroom sunday so i'll be going tonite...last time i was there was wednesday.
