merit75 will knock them bitches out

never had aphids personally, but ive seen guys around here use the merit w/ success

Thanks farmdale :thank you:.. I picked up some bayer advanced : fruit citrus vegtable as it was the only thing I can afford ATM as merit 75 is a bit pricy. .. has the same ingredient as merit 75 at 1/2 the cost.. hopefully between that.. some azamax and a few foggers inbetween treatments will wipe em out.

Deoxy, look for any areas of standing or stagnant water around the grow, as aphids will migrate to these areas once you start treating media with Imid products. Tanglefoot on any drain openings works wonders keeping bugs from using it as an entry to the grow.

If possible, I'd highly suggest taking multiple clones from each plant, dunking them in an imid solution and start fresh. Give a good cleaning to all walls, ducting, hoods, fan etc... It may seem a bit drastic, but RAs are an utter pain if dealt with by half-measures.

As others have suggested, I'd definitely look into Merit75 as opposed to the Bayer product. The Bayer solution strength simply isn't concentrated enough IME.

a.

Thanks astartes.. gonna give the tent and everything in it + surrounding room a good cleaning tonight before I start treating.. I plan on 3-4 imid treatments spaced 5 days apart then switching it up to azamax with a few doktor doom foggers in between treatments.. appreciate your suggestions bro!:thank you:

I took a bunch of clones a few days ago.. going to start fresh in coco.. fuck this soil BS.. it's where they came from in the first place.. never had this issue till I switched back to soil.

Nice looking tester nugs, Lemon. Do you do the light bulb quick dry method? They look pretty close to harvest, do you check trichome color?

Let us know how your eradication plan works out Deoxy. Do the aphids look very much like fungus gnats?

I left the nugs in the flower room on the dehumidifer for a night then hung dry for a couple days.I just took down a few larfy buds to smoke on until harvest. The trics i wait until atleast some shows amber(about 1/3)which im not seeing much at all yet just mostly cloudy. She's still spitting some new pistils so i say a couple more weeks.I might just take her to 12wks to see how she tests then but im running outta time before april.

Will do.. they deff. look very similar but the key difference between gnats and winged aphids I noticed is gnats can actually fly freely without landing.. and winged aphids do more of a hop.. they can only fly for a very short distance but the jumping around is the biggest tell tale.. I've gotten a close up view of the winged aphids but not the root dwellers which are causing the most problems.. and if I'm correct the presence of winged aphids indicates the host plant is over run/crowded @ root level and they are searching for new grounds.. and the infestation is more severe.

Just finished cleaning up the grow space really good... also hit the plants up with their first imid soil drench(bayer advanced) + a pyrethrin fogger/bomb... going to follow up in 5 days with a second imid soil drench then followed by an azamax drench + second pyrethrin fogger/bomb 5 days after for a total of 3 treatments spaced 5 days apart... hopefully it knocks them out.. wish me luck!

The pyrethrin should do the job alone. I work outside and my company uses a pyrethrium variation to kill insects on plants. If It will take care of those japanese beatles them aphids don't stand a chance.

The pyrethrin fogger was used more to kill the winged aphids and as a secondary measure for the ones that tried to make a break for it when I started treating the soil.. it won't do shit at root level.. the imid on the other hand seems to be doing the trick... new growth is already noticeably better.. but I will be repeating treatments at least 2 more times just to be sure.

What was the name of the pyrethrin product you used? It might have been something that's not available to consumers...
