abirdintheair, nice job on poppin those pre 98 crosses. The Bubba usually tends to shine through making for some potent, tasty herb.

Indeed, Im hoping to find a nice 50/50 mix of pre98 x SD here eventually seeing that Im about to flip bodhis version, test EGs version, and still have JLPs version to run  just wished it did bring along its super slow veg traits as it does in most crosses. my pre98 x sour creek has been in veg for a good 4-5 months, a foot tall if that, ridiculously slow. hopefully since its a female its prove itsself after flip though. I have my fingers crossed on the bubba lemon thais, really want a LT leaning male out of the beans I dropped for some chuckin.

cookies, did someone say cookies?

Im finaly getting around to starting a flower room.I'll be doing it prepetual grow.Flower room will start out with a 1,000watts and will upgrade it to 2/3,000 over the year. And veg I'll be rocking 300watts cfls for clones/seedlings,then a 250 hps for small plants, and the tent with a 400mh for pre flower.Or the 250hps for moms and the tent for vegging plants.Still kinda in the air how im going to do it.
Anyway feels good getting a 1000 watter burning,1000's here on out.Im really feeling these 1000's with the dimmer knob.
By the way hidhut is the shit.I ordered one of hid huts digital ballasts and I guess they were out cause they ended up giving me a Quantum ballast upgrade. Not bad for around $230.

Careful with hidhut ballasts Lemon. I had two of them start smoking. Would have been bad if I wasn't standing there when they flipped on. It was a couple years ago, so not sure if they've changed their parts/manufacturing outsourcing... Getting the quantum instead is very good luck imo.

Yeah, I bought a couple 400s a year apart about that long ago. They worked great for a couple years of light use. Around that time, they separately both fried. Glad you're having better luck with the 250!

Hate to hear they didnt last for you.I'll keep that in mind when I go to get more.I might just stick to quantum or galaxy then to be safe. Dont want to burn the house down trying to save a buck.

I'm just running magnetic for the time being. After they burned up, I wanted something tried and true. I've been holding out until the micromoles come back under the gavita flagship this spring/summer. The DE gavitas look stellar, but I could never get away with cooling an attached ballast. It's simply too hot for the volume of a tent, namely the height.

I completely agree with ya on the trying to save a buck part. Ballasts, timers and carbon filters are the parts of the garden I've learned (painfully) not to cheap out on.

I have yet to run a magnetic ballast.I was worried about the waves screwing up peoples tvs and how loud they might be.

Digital ballasts have issues with interference due to the frequency they use, although most issues can be traced to poor shielding and leakage in the cords or simply poor grounding. Those problems don't happen with magnetic ballasts in terms of RF interference. Magnetic ballasts do hum a bit, but they're certainly quieter than an inline fan.

Bought a used lumatek 600w digi that burned out on me in under a year, emailed lumatek customer support never got a peep back from them.
Nevertheless, my lumatek 1000w digi worked well for the year or so ive used it.
Maybe in 10 years we'll all be using LED's and our cooling needs will be cut tremendously...

Yeah, that mushie grow was an experience, still a success despite losing 2/5 jars to contams. And fwiw, it's less work than growing, for sure. Other than sterilizing the medium, and fruiting the jars, it's mostly just watching and waiting. Check up on them once a day was usually the most i had to do...

Abita, you have the girl scout cookies? :)

the siiiilver, do you like it? I havent tried any pure ssh in quite a while, just some misty x ssh lately

Ohhhh yea! :dance013:

I also have some Crazy Train which my buddy gave me so I've been smoking that until I got this and it's like night and day difference. I mean the Crazy Train is still great quality bud, but then you hit the SSH and you're like dammmmmnnnnnn...:greenstars:

Very full body high too and tastes like incense.

My GF is a real big smoker (she's in psychology, go figure..) and we prolly go through an ounce every 2 or 3 weeks, mostly because of her, and the minute she hit it she's like "is this new bud? because I've only had 1 bowl and I'm stoned!"
