those are some crazy foxtails there lemon!

PC that is soooo funny looking my friend, would never ahve thought to do that!

baba, i found with revegers, if yo take clones from the clones you get off the revege, they will usually reset themselves back to normal. the flower hormone seems to interfere with the root formation in the first cut set and it never quite recovers on the original, but will fix itself by second gen clone.

Wow, that's a very haze leaning pheno of ssh, Lemon. Almost as fox-taily as a landrace sativa, but way more crystally. Nice pics.

Thanks for the advice, Jbg.:good: Good to know they'll eventually revert back to normal. Although faster maturing makes up for lower yielding, probably all evens out in the end. Some people don't even take clones before harvest, just flower them out and the biggest, stinkiest, crystalliest ones get re-vegged...

im still old school though.... take cuts of everything and keep bonsais until they are done and teaste tested, dump the non keepers and pot up the keepers!

that way i dont take chances of having a beauty that wont revege or a male that went too far in flower and dies!

If anyone has any personal experience with any of these varieties I would love to hear about it. So far all the gardens I've seen in this thread have been bananas! Keep it up No-Coasters!

Nice trich shot, Jonny. Whats the longest you've ever kept a keeper?

Never heard of violet kush, Missouri. Is it very purple? Colorful weed adds to bag appeal, i guess.

I don't have any personal experience with any of those strains, DG, but looks like you have a good variety of breeders in your collection. That Bubba 76 (a bubba crossed with old school afghani '76) sounds intriguing.

Nice bud pics, Marn. What kind of nute regimen are you using?

Nice bud porn guys, but allot of it looks over mature, there are benefits from harvesting on time Vs. later, just saying, i sound like debbie downer today lol.

:) Don't get me wrong here, I'm speaking from a more commercial aspect, but I've never really thought so, it looks great on the plant but turns dark when dry, it doesn't get you any higher, and purple plants almost always are low yielders due to there sativa content. its the same with big tops, ppl love to look at them, but ask them to pay more for it and its "no way".

Thanks. The Bubba is nice, looks and smells great. Sort of like the cut but more fruity less mocha-y. Poor yielder, probably more so than the cut since it doesn't stretch or side branch much at all. I'm taking down the other one later today it's more Pre '98 leaning. I'll post pics.

I'm using CES nutes and the Lucas Formula for coco. First time trying coco and lucas and I love it. Really simple with great results although I plan on going organic after these run out.

actually maximo, that was cut at 63 days for a 65-70 day strain and only 30% amber... as for yield, looking like it might just be a keeper for that as well!

that is one plant.

baba, i have actually held on to plants for 4 years, only giving up the strain to shut down for one reason or another. im the type to hold on to 2 or three keepers and only dump one to replace it with something even better. but always try to keep at least three for variety!

What makes them look overly mature, Maximo? Are they under flushed?
Yeah, a plant would have to be intensely purple in order to stay purple after a little cure, and real heads know color has nothing to do with effect, but if you could find a very purple strong sativa you could call it purple haze and charge a mint for it.

Are you using RO water, Marn? When you go organic, are you going with General Organics in coco? I think some of their stuff is practically vegan.

Jonny, are there any past strains you wish you could have back? I imagine if i had a very strawberry tasting strain i would always want that around, so long as it was sufficiently potent.

Well, for example, my BD is listed as a 9 week plant but is always ready at 7-8weeks not 8-9weeks, so my plant is not a 9 week plant but a 7 week plant, this actually works for me as I get faster harvests, but to let the plant go to 9 weeks just because the seller said so is pretty trusting. I used to let them go longer but what is the point?? if you think your making things better your not, just getting more CDB Vs. THC, I want THC not CBD and thats what you get with over mature plants, just start taking them a week earlier than the breeder says.

hey baba, i just got one of my favorites back that i thought was lost forever, nightmare diesel. its a cross of my own that is knockdown dragout smoke that smokes nice and smooth with hashy overtones. another that i wish i had again was the true arcata trainwreck! monster lemon buds that lay you out! and a cross that i have never heard around since i lost them due to there propensity for hermies, blueberry arcata trainwreck. you could probably cut your hand off after smoking it and not notice. you go numb like youve had a bath in local anesthetic!
