schroooomy: i just checked on em today and one of the schrom has noticable root growth. just about 1/4 inch or so, but its there. the rest of them have what i suspect to be root nubs forming. it has been 10 days or so, so all is well. im stoked. you rock.

everything else is great. im going to take some more pics soon. i am going to start thinking about how to support some of the colas that are about to grow.

peace

So it is now its day 11 of flower. I bought 2 new ballasts (good bye paycheck).
Oh and i got another crazy idea. I want to add another 600 to the box and use up the entire floor space. get the ladies all settled in their final positions.

I am about 1/2 way through the stretch... I am hoping that the increased light is still going to be effective. any thoughts?

I did a final trim of the ladies, removing all lower shoots that wont turn into much. anything more than 6" from the tops at this point are gone, as well as any branches that would end up competing for space, or growing outside of the plant area.

So check em out.

and the canopy from 2 days ago before i removed more growth and rearranged the plants

Oh and I almost forgot.. its day 11 of flower and I have this:

I am concerned about lack of root space going into heavy flower. I know roots slow down growth during late flower, but they still grow a bit. If I did anything to increase pot volume I would double pot... just cut off the bottom bit of the old bag and slip on a new one with simple promix/ewc, perlite.

good idea, bad idea? pointless?

You have a great looking grow, are you going to finish them with the MH? Do you make your own compost or buy the tea bags?

I do not make my own compost but a local company makes some great stuff. For the tea A use nylon stockings (thick white ones). I put in an unknown amount of earth worm castings (soon to be redworm castings from the same local place) to one and compost to the other. It takes up the volume of 2 eggs or so... i dunno. doesnt really matter.
Add molasses and bubble for 48 hours or so. I have found that sterilizing the airstones between batches makes a difference in the composition of the tea. I end up with a different pH tea with clean airstones and fresh stockings.

I have a compost bin I started last year and with it I am going to steal your recipe. I’ve heard a lot of good thing about using an organic tea, Fights disease, healthier plants, smoking fewer chemicals. I all ready make my own clone juice. Sounds great!!!

its not really my recipe. 3lb, veets, vonafone (i think thats the name) have been amazing sources of info on organics and tea. check out the organic soil forum. i might compost this summer when the 4ft of snow melts....

Thanks for the info, I will check out the organic soil forum, SNOW lol I hate the cold and snow it was 80 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday so are you going 1200 watts HPS for the down hill stretch?

Awsome setup Pineappleloupe the plants look great...they seem to be loving those teas heres a little recipe that ive been using it really speeds up growth.
Get one 5 gal. bucket
Fill it with 4 gal. of water with a PH of 6.5-6.6
use an airstone to aerate the water for 24hrs.

In your 'teabag' add:
4 TBS of EWC
4 TBS black strap molasses
1-2 TBS of liquid seaweed
2 TBs of liquid karma ( I swear by this stuff)

Brew for 24-48 hrs loosely covered in a dark place
I use this with every watering.

For an extra boost:
1x in veg I will add 2-3 TBS of high nitrogen bat guano
3-4x during flowering I use high potassium BG

At the 4th week of flowering I take about 100 grams of the BG mix with 2 quarts of hot water.
Stir until dissolved
Take 8 oz of BG mix and add it to 10 oz of water with a PH of 6.6
I water 2x a week with this up until the 7th or 8th week I also use a little liquid budswell with every other watering

Good luck and keep us updated :rasta:

homegrown:
thats a similar compost tea recipe, except I use compost along with EWC.
Im not really convinced that LK is really needed in soil. I brew the tea for atleast 48 hours. I usually have visible mycellium floating around.

i have all of my food in the soil but i think they can handle more. im going to hit em with a EJ grow/bloom mix. The stretch seems to be done

So where they all females? Looks like you have some great strains and good genetics in the crosses you accidentally made. I am sure you will have as good, if not better strains then what you started with. So when are we gonna give us some Bud porn!

The bud porn is on its way. I am at day 14 now. I am guessing in 3 weeks ill have some colas goin strong. I did some training tonight, watered, shuffled the ladies around. It like a big puzzle trying to prevent alot of shading. Save yourself the trouble and envision a plant structure from day 1.

The 1000W MH has been runing for 3 days now. temps a little high but never break 82. I plan onputting the 1000W HPS (coming soon to replace the MH) inside the supersun2 and aircooling it.

Here are some new pics.
I wish I could get an above canopy shot... I'll figure out some way to do it. From these angles it looks over crowded but trust me its OK.

To orient yourself, the bubba kush is the tall 2 head bitch in the back row near the center. it can be seen in all pics if you look hard

Oh and this is neat. I try to white balance all of my pics to show normal leaf color. However the addition of a 1k MH makes this very difficult.
Here is the left side picture whit balanced at 2000K. The first picture is at 2500K or so.

Hey pineappaloupe, that's a nice big Bubba Kush.
All of your plants are looking great.
Must be that soil mix.

So everything is great. One ballast needs a new capacitor but I have another one as a back up.

Day 22 and things are starting to smell. everything is getting fatter, stretching out a bit more. these pics are older, from 5 days ago. I took pics only the MH on and using a flash on some of them.

Here is a kind of panorama shot, from right to left

I am keeping a close eye one what may be the best top colas. I am pleased with the pruning, alot of the canopy is mid sized colas that will be atleast 6 inches. The 2 different blunderberry crosses are also becoming apparent.

I just got my electric bill today. Check it out

before you get too excited and think im crazy, the snow has not allowed the meter reader to make their rounds. I dont know how it works but they have to estimate the usage based on some linear regression. I havent checked to see if they have seen the meter as the door to it is still snowed in. so this is some crazy estimate based on 4 points of data, the 4th point and the most recent being much higher than the others.

its still funny as shit.

It is day 28 or so and things are looking great. Temps are good. I added some topdressing to the plants. some plants were showing a need for more N. My last 2 waterings have been 1:1 EJ bloom to grow. I dont expect the N issue to cause any problems. all of the leaves were low and old, so it was about time for them to go anyway.

i caught a very early sign of ca deficiency as well. I have been adding dolomite lime in my last 2 or 3 teas to help curb the EJ pH issues. i am going to hit em with a foliar feed soon.

and on to the pics
