Entry 269420 came in this bag...


the hash was wet.
If OP and I had not noticed, and left it in the bag till it was divided up like the rest of the samples it would have been white and fuzzy and totally unsmokeable.
when i 1st opened the bag the smell was already pretty bad.
the sample arrived weighing 7.7 grams after it sat out on some paper for a few days it was well short of the entry limit at 6.3.

then low and behold it gets 2nd place.
I'm left with 3 possible conclusions either hash judges were not up to the task or some funny business went on, or OP and I should get part of the prize for rescueing their entry.
Because it was wet I never got the chance to try it and after i smelled it i had no desire to try it, and it was under weight, so unable to try anyways.

If it had been my call i would have returned the hash to the wethouse.

yeah TF the hash was wet but why should that make it crap
all bubble hash is wet at some point, I know one judge that scored it top
I may not agree with his choice but I respect it as he's been smoking hash from before I was born

and as to "Funny Business" remark I find that totally uncalled for
you helped bag the samples so you seen how it was done
there was NO funny business as you put it

The judges spoke....of which their votes is what counted, not your opinion...and I, like OP, find that comment uncalled for as well. Next year if you want your opinion to count, get a judge pass and vote, and not be a part of the organizing crew.

i want to see the points

i got to sb 15 -20 mins max late around 3 20 and was not able to hand in my crews ballot 5 judges passes and another dude 6 that could of changed the whole cup
i was pissed that i could not hand it in
i was running around town trying to find pink
i must admit after smoking 1 of my entry's it burnt very shit, i didnt grow this for the cup it was for commercial and i obvisouly didnt pick out the best 30 g
i was kinda dissapointed with the weeds
apart from trues and bachus and of the entry's i didnt find anything amazing a couple of ok indica's but was kinda hopeing for the weed to be beter
i had a great time just meeting up with some of you people and trying your weeds or hashes and will be back with much better weed and hash for all to try

well there was 4 of us in the group and trues mate also misses it by minutes
they should of taken our votes
it wasnt hours
stoners or not people are late for things
they didnt seem to care
all i cared about was trying the entry's and that i did
i know i can grow dam good weed
better than most
ask the people who have tried my weed properly

i personaly didnt find anything beter than mine than casey jones and lemon pledge even with the poorly burning weed i had

after looking at my notes

this is how i would of voted for the sativa 1st place lemon pledge 2nd casey jones 3rd sour diesel
i thought the lemon pledge was the sd until the list was put out

bachus its a shame i didnt get to meet you, amazing weed definately worthy of an award the best i had out of entry's

also after looking through the comments i made when i smoked the weed
the midnight gardener deserves a round of applause because the entry's were of good quality all around

1969...YES it was blind sampling.....we recieved one sample of each entry..only knowing the number assigned to the pack it came in...for example 347420...The list DG just posted is the first time I'm seeing the numbers with the names that go with them....
3had...I have a copy of my score sheet on my camera..Let me get settled in and I'll post my completed score sheet..I believe I over heard DG say all the sheets were shreaded after being scored..A few of us took pic's and/or wrote down our scores..The Casey Jones and the SD were my top choices for the growers sativa..And the best over all...mitsu1

Should have taken a pic of the samples I got, they were small pieces almost all so didnt give a lot of points of the looks anyway.
