Didnt judge thing that I didnt get to see, only the samples and coffeeshops me thinks

Exactly.. I did a form of this also. Here's what I did:

I sampled every bit of Sativas given to me... (even every indica haha)
I gave a base number of 8 to every herb entered. In my mind if it was good enough to submit for entry then it would at least receive an 8 min. THEN for the samples that stood out in their own ways I would give a 9.. if it REALLY stood out for me I gave it a 10. I think I only gave two 10's total. I didn't give them easy. I felt this way even if my judging was impaired (GEE how could that be??) I wouldn't make a HUGE difference in total points for anyone BUT I did at least give an advantage to who I felt was best.

For the other things I didn't get to go to or see what I did to not leave anything blank was this:

I simply gave the same numbers to them. They got points but it didn't give anyone an advantage from my votes. All recieved like an 8 or something. It's the same as a blank box but I just wanted to fill it out completely I guess.

That's it for now :joint:

lol, you'd think that having submitted an entry, and bought a judges pass, and talked several friends into buying a judges pass, and collecting their score cards, that you would have made it on time to get votes for your own weed in on time. You stoner OJD.

If OJD is the same young looking dude(or one of his mates) from London then we were hanging out a lot. If that is who I'm talking about he tried to turn his ballots in at SB, was told by OP's boy that OP had left and went to Greenhouse(I think) so we headed on the boat from SB to GH. It was only me, my brother, and the 2 dudes from London until we got to the GH..

They again tried to find OP to give the ballots to and he wasn't to be found there either. He was trying and trying (at least if it's the same people and it sounds like it was) but he couldn't get them turned in. They told them to try at the event too I believe.

Oh well maybe next time. I do personally know they tried though, assuming it was the same people. :joint:

that was the thing some of the things to be judged were not available for examination, so how should one fill out that part. the strawberry wine was not there instead he had the syco cyder. just one example. same with the glass....

but i know that all the cannabis and hash was duely judged and marked so those results are spot on except for the missing ballots, which were not handed in on time. but that's how these things go, you can't wait for ever with tabulating the numbers, specially not when people are waiting for the results. it's a shame they couldn't be included though as it would have been good to know that all the ballots were counted.

Very true very true... we CAN however see UN-official results with the posting of OJD's scorecard totals.. kind of like an alternate ending bonus feature on a dvd. We can re-calculate them and see what "might" have been just for fun.

So.. yay or nay? Sounds like fun to me, nothing serious. :joint:

Gypsy & I waited at the Green House until 4pm (1 hour after voting closed at Sboo). OP did not leave Sboo until 3:15 to bring the ballots to us at the GH. The call on my mobile phone from OP verifies that it was in fact 3:15pm that he called me saying he was on his way out from the shop.

Again....very sorry, but there has to be a cut off and 3pm was the official poll closure, although we continued to wait until 4pm 'just in case' there were any late arrivals. It is a massive job getting all the numbers entered...there was a schedule of events timed for the evening, and we had to be sure to have everything tallied by that time...this is not something which can be done quickly nor in the last few minutes. Ballots were accepted at Sboo from 10am until 3:15pm...there was adquate time for folks to turn their ballots in (5 hours). Once OP arrived at GH he went around checking to see if there was anyone sitting about still with ballots...and at 4pm we had to leave, could wait no longer and still have enough time to get all the numbers entered in time for the awards.

At any rate, hopefully next year everyone will make sure their ballots are in on time.

I don't think anyone meant it as a complaint.. I personally know I didn't. I would hope there's no need to post a defensive or even an explanatory post. If that need was felt then I would like to be the first to apologize for making you feel that way. I think that the 5 hour window and a set cut off time are good things. It helps provide order and makes things go smoothly for all.

I'm just saying since a couple people are curious, when OJD posts his ballots(and friends) and ONLY his and his friends, and HONESTLY represents the numbers on the ballots, THEN it'd be kinda fun to see if it would've swung decisions in other directions or simply reinforced the outcome.

Just please know I am in no way complaining about those rules at all. Full respect for the work you put in.

Not allowing people to be f*&king w/the rules this year has set a very good precidence for you for the following years I believe. People have seen what happens in the struggle to keep things fair and orderly. What will and will not be accepted.

So good job I say.

Thats funny cause i left Pink floyd at 3.10 an OP was gone when i got to seeboo and i was at Greenhouse striaght after and no DG or Gypsy to take my score sheet and i was there before 4 oclock, when i finally caught up with OP he wouldnt take my score sheet which was understandlable due to the time then.
You also mentioned that things were left blank...where were the Arctic air cooled hoods, Skinny Trays ans TTUSSK mammoth filters i couldnt find them and when i asked no-one really seemed to know what they were or where they were???
I still have my score sheet il post up a pic of the sativa scores but i can tell you which were highest...Trues Casey both of OJ's SSSDH and Baccass's Lemon Pledge... and just to note i didnt score JLP's SD very high and the breeders entries were poor compared to the growers entries

I'm not debating time...there was 5 hours to vote in.

The products were located in the exhibit venue (under bridge in front of shop) where the vendors were located. The mammouth filters (due to their small size) were in the front showcase at Sboo, anyone at the shop behind the counter could have answered these things for you if they'd been asked.

They were directly in front of the Green House Seed Co vendor booth:

Only thing that I was really bummed of was that I didnt get the samples on wednesday, someone was supposed to be at the shop but there was no-one (I asked this very early so I could get my stuff and go sample it) and no-one came and there was supposed to be a boat to the venue but that wasnt there either, but all things got sorted the next day so not a biggie.

hm i never even saw that arctic cool thingy, now that i see it, it looks quite good. when i went down there, you couldn't really call it an expo, lol. it was just 2 stands, the bastard brewers and the GH stand. i like the syco cider though, but that was really all that interested me at the "expo". it was cool though, as the 420 is about the people for me anyway, not about the bells and whistles.
