I might be changing everything up on the upcoming smaller one. Checked laws for that location and not ones that are favorable or I feel comfortable with..(at all, penalties 10x what I have been working with on state level)...so, might still keep it, but keep looking for another one where a little more can be done freely and use it for different things.....ie: Maybe use it for seed run and late run only, maybe huge number of lates,etc....Will still make use of it, it's there and available, but, will have to use it as a back/extra/"gravy" op...(Might be able to hold couple thousand late/mini's there..(1sq. ft. per 60' x 60' is 3600, 40 x 40 is 1600, etc) .but, those are hit and runs, less exposure, etc, which I feel more comfortable with, but, did want to run a lot of larger stuff there, so......I don't feel comfortable running large ones in numbers there.....

I just spent the past 3 days, probably a total of 3-4 hours reading this thread. I honestly feel enlightened, Julian you really are a good person! thank you!
Well that's not that long....everyone says it's so big:biglaugh: (but, that's okay, I'm used to hearing that :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:)

Well, thank you.....that is certainly very, very kind of you to say.......glad is/was of interest......lot that was left out, not included, but, I just let it go where it wants to go....things always have a momentum of their own in any area of life...so...
I feel there could almost be a whole thread on just the financial aspect of growing.(which I would like to see, but its not that accepted on this forum) Id love to see this thread broken down into each aspect of growing, you need your own section Julian!

Many a thanks! stay safe!
Well, your quite welcome......

I don't know.....lot was covered, and, of course, it's my position nothing covered in here that doesn't apply...(Many would disagree, and, are free to do so, but, as shown, everything is related, all aspects do play of each other, and, applies to someone pulling 5p's a season or 500+...(My position is actually more useful to the person pulling 5......ie: They need more help than the person pulling 500+.......so....)

I don't know though....I think of more value as is, as all things flow into one another (and then right back again....)

You know....just trying to offer what I can, what's of use and not covered elsewhere in the same way, etc.......

There have been a few here and there....Indoor thread contained some...Offshore thread in Security and Legal was pretty good (actually quite a lot in there spanning all subjects.....)

I was thinking about a Stock Market thread..I can throw short term tips out all day long to make people at least couple k a month or more...sometimes a lot more in short period of time...right place, right time, can do 20-50% in a day....100% in a week, which is some serious money....ie: buy this today, sell off tomorrow, buy this now, sell by end of day before close, etc, etc......

(See, reason I value market is one could take minimal (say 25k), keep rest off the books, work the minimal and end up with a lot more, legally, etc...so..:smoke:...not impossible to flip 25k initially into , say, 75k a year, etc......with everything else on top gravy....)

You know, people who think they know, can say all they want, but, when you have people getting cracked for ops, and, in the process losing cash they had onhand, or investigations turning up no legitimate income and support....well :smoke:.....I disagree it doesn't apply to growing :smoke:....Maybe I just feel it's as important to help people as much after harvest as you did before....:smoke:

Does one little good to learn everything they need to know to pull 50lbs if they sit on the money, get it seized, or don't know what to do with it...:smoke:

Just my opinion......what do I know anyway....:smoke:

Thanks though....very kind of you to offer.....

I'm always quite humbled when something of use.....when can actually make a difference to someone......you know.....that's a very important thing I think...and, glad I have been able to , if for only a single person......no one really ever helped me with anything, told me anything, taught me anything, so...(a fuckin shame too..:biglaugh:....)

Edit: Financials not applicable.....well, I could not count on both hands and feet the number of people who have blown ops because they didn't budget right, so...:smoke:.......indoor and out :smoke:.....indoor more often that out though....from initial set up budgets to reserves for operating costs and expenses (for appropriate time......( ....then spend time getting caught up instead of pocketing it, etc.....

Just give what I can when I can.....not always around, and, don't always have a lot of time, so....try and get it all out when I do :smoke:...

I've also developed the "90 second lecture" :biglaugh:, was just laughing and talking to someone....90 seconds...how it is...:biglaugh: Their goal is to travel world...well, not a far fetched idea, and, very possible from a smaller amount of money.....(start with 25, make a trade , make 10k, travel and spend 3, make another trade, make 7, spend 3, make another trade, make 8k, spend 3, etc, building capital and traveling at the same time......:smoke:...Could start out with 25, hang out all year and end the year with 90 in Rio :smoke:.....assuming of course one knows what they are doing, or, has someone who does teaching them and feeding them moves...(I give out hundreds a week to many people.....who in return.."appreciate it" :smoke:.....)

What are youre ideas on air search, what are the counters if you have any? I was looking at a spot near an airport, airspace around it is more controlled and i thinking theres less chance of a being seen by a helicopter. Does this sound OK?

Well, addressed earlier, and, always starts with planning and spacing and placement.....to simple things such as clean up (As above, Barry's got a new one where he goes up in a bird scouting...like that he repeats a lot of those things....), to the area in the first place that your using...(ie: One, myself included, should always question their sanity if they are doing a spot which is known to have eradication efforts......easier just to change spots in many cases, grab new location, scout a new one, etc.....)

When they got up, people think they're looking for plants....they're looking for large ops...they don't head out thinking they are going to look for 5 plant plots......they come across those while looking for larger if all protocol not adhered to...

Big difference also between FAA regulations on choppers and planes, so....(of course, they have been known to breech those :biglaugh:, but, it's a good starting point....can make a huge difference when doing spots which might be traveling by.....)

Who have you been talking to? :biglaugh:

j/k :smoke:...something I have a little experience with :smoke:

That's not cut and dry and depends which airport (don't say), a major or a smaller, what flight patterns are (large ones they switch em up depending on traffic), and also the overview of grounds...(ie: maintenance performed in any way , shape, or form,...when it is performed, what is performed, what kind of access points.....because a serious issue, especially these days......ie: terrorism issues, homeland security, etc, etc, so.......you try to get into restricted areas these days......it can get pretty serious......smaller facilities less of an issue....

One also has to remember the reality of it which is when people are going in and out (flying, pilots), they are not concentrating on scenery.......they're on panel, runway, etc.....(I know several pilots.....have flown in variety of aircraft, etc......good analogy would be driving...(faster....even small aircraft get up there on takeoff.....).....if your going down highway doing 85......I mean :smoke:...c'monnn......(and flying not the same....much more detailed and delicate process.....)

Main factor on grounds such as that would be someone on ground discovering it...not in the air, and, yeah, space is restricted for larger, of course, and, smaller, controlled...

Nah, your issue with such a spot is ground level discovery..(mind you, I would not do giants in such a place either.....nah.....I'd stick with mid season bushes (4 x 4, etc), and mini's.....

These days?......I dunno man.....too many terrorist issues to be running around such land, ya know?.....would have to be a seriously good overall spot for me to consider....ie: smaller, private airfield, solid vegetation surrounding, easy/good access points, good soil, minimal dig and prep...I'd also try and become as acquainted with security and traffic as possible....ie: You scout it, you spend time observing,or have someone else...whose coming, whose going, how many, what kind of vehicles, what times, what frequency(days, etc), what kind of position (ie: $8 an hour landscapers to pull weeds or airfield security, police, public or private,etc,etc...) and then even after all might decide not to.....

That's something (location, spots) you should seriously think about.....be aware of the downside and don't use without completely understanding all possibilities and nuances of the location first.....

Yeah, my concern would be terrorist issues.......not anything else....

In addition:
People speak of all the common rules, but, don't always say or know why....

Perfect examples:
Don't leave trash........(assuming someone may find it, prints, etc....)

You can see cups and bottles from the air.....

Great example:
Always vary your routes, don't leave trails, etc, etc.....(again, assuming ground activity and traffic will come across them.....)

True story: The most recent spot I did , you can do a google earth from 1-2-3 thousand feet and see them in some places....(tire tracks, we only drove once.....) I showed those pics to partners.........You can barely make out the buildings..(too high, small), but, you can see those fuckin tracks :biglaugh:.....

See, lot of people talk about all those things, but, don't necessarily connect them to airborne eradication efforts...and, in some cases, points in season, really little you can do because they're not going to grow back, pop back up after knocked down, etc....

The Barry vid did specify they target areas around water sources, which I actually did not know was in search criteria...but, doesn't really affect me, never has, due to no maintenance and relying more on the holes prep and or rainfall, etc.......I thought that was pretty interesting.....(and then they look for the trails leading to and from water source(s)....)

You know, I still maintain all starts with site selection, method and placement, and, most people, as elsewhere will most likely never see an eradication aircraft in their entire life...(others will 5 times in one weekend depending where they're at :biglaugh: :smoke:, but, majority won't, unless in the hotter areas......)

I usually won't bother with an area known to have those efforts......easier, and would rather just head the opposite direction to area that doesn't :smoke:...(Of course I realize some feel they have to and have no choice, in which case goes back to the above....site, placement, size, how they can be worked in to get numbers you want and still keep them worked in as good as possible into surrounding vegetation, etc....)

Julian I just had a idea and you seem like a man of ideas. Two words art gallery. You open an art Gallery stock it full of art, low overhead just need one person to run it, and the great part is you choose the price(as outrageous as you see fit :p). I'm sure I'm missing other aspects but.

just an idea, love to here your thoughts!

I'll go you one better.......your own works on walls and for sale :smoke: (no inventory, nothing invested in other works...) could also buy and resell at cost...(grab something for 900, flip for 900, 800, etc,....could work in extra money somewhere but then , unless pulling in huge money to start with your overhead will probably put you in the hole right off the bat.....but, the further one gets into brick and mortar, the greater the documentation is expected....all depends how much one has coming in (if only 50k extra a year, you wouldn't want to start business that costs you 30k a yr expenses...you'd end up breaking even......

I'm a fan though of using things that one already has interests in and furthering that... always should use any extra money to further ones interests, on many levels and in most cases that simple boost can turn those into more than they thought previously.....musicians can use funds for equipment and to fund their own releases :smoke:..even a legitimate business could ue extra funds to expand, marketing to build business into something greater, start up for something.....can use for school....etc........shouldn't be used for "fun" stuff unless your where you want to be...could always dry up tomorrow.....if your left hanging with nothing to show for it, guess where you are :smoke:..

Money made and spent and your at exactly where you started from.....

Anyway......we hit on that all though man, same with collectibles, things of that nature (can find something in public and sell for any price....:smoke:....coins, etc.....touched on....art and forms unique in that way.....:smoke:

Some other notes from fresh discussion:
I've used every size started (peat) from the pellets up to the 4.5"'ers, and, my preference is that the most efficient are the round 3" ers. (With the square ones, unless containers and trays just right size, you get more into space with the round ones.

I really like the 4.5-5"'s for larger ones, for first rounds, but, that also cuts down spacing (with those, dramatically actually...instead of almost 100 3"'s per tray, with the 5"'s, it's a little over 50....

The 3's are the best overall for efficiency, can get to good size by the time they're completely busting through the pots, ready to go out, so....thought I would specific that because was just talking to someone about it, and, as always, the trick with those products is good amount left in trays (water), pots wick it, keeps pot moist, and, roots cut right through em when moist, as in pics in first post. (As earlier, if nothing in trays, they will keep drying out, leach moisture from soil, and become hard as a rock.I've gone as much as 2" of nutes in trays when packing them to go, and, sucks it all up within a couple hours depending on their size....ie: up to 100 6"'ers in a tray, they will absorb /drink that quick.....don't worry about too much....)

Yeah, hmm, those stock markets...just got around to checking out some forums and how I'd go about dumping a little money in it IF i did

Obviously an expansive subject to study, anywhere to start besides the one book mentioned?

Especially like the travel and invest idea, always a desire of mine, but how onew can count on monthly earnings of 6k or more just by moving 25k around?

I'm onto the whole, massive grow, what you see if what you get (meaning, see a nice 20x20mini plot, where others see nothing, add 10lbs to your harvest)

but I am REALLY getting interested in this perpetual money thing, that doesn't sound greedy does it? How else can I move to a weed friendly country sooner than later? How should I do that AND attend college? No, I dont feel greedy, anyways, ramblings
