hm i think if u throw out your plants end of june they wont need 4sq meters ... maximum 1sq meter and if the fields are big enough shouldnt be any problem to have some lines unnoticed

im wondering how many pounds of hash you are aiming for?
i mean 500 female plants will give you at least 50lbs up to 200lbs of bud or even more!?

love?

I'll be following this thread for sure!

With that kind of numbers there's even a possibility of finding some phenotypes that perform particularly well up north, could be the start of some great new strains. :)

The best of luck and stay safe.

Are you going to grow these weed between the rows (without pulling the corn stalks up)?

I wish I have bag of those early finisher seeds :( I don't wanna folk over too much $$ for seeds.

Good luck!

You're in for a world of backbreaking hurt I think:) Good luck with your project!
How much do you normally get per plant?

i pulled corn in last years grow and your right it makes some empty spots
my harvest last year was in different and small spots
but this year i dont think im pulling corn out as it would rize too much attention with so much corn being pulled and i wanna be able to grow in the local corn fields the season after also
so this year im doing them between rows
only for the planned Mighty Freeze seed grow ill pull plants as im not sure the MF would otherwise be able to compete with the corn

Vol Funk
ill be releasing some early strains and crosses at seedbay soon with decent pricetags

the work is still less then if i used forest spots
last year i had one forest spot
i broke a shovel just trying to dig a small opening i could put the plants into
the harvest was very pitiful so im doing corn from now on
less work, better soil, bigger harvest and better hidden
and since cops dont do flyovers here, yet at least, the change of having them busted is minimal.
i lost a field last year due to a farmer harvesting early
im pretty sure he was wondering what 20 erocket x danish passion cannabis plants was doing in the middle of his field so im not going to use that field again
since im not going to have to deal with too many angry farmers with large empty spots on their fields im doing them between rows this year even though the harvest might be a little smaller

i dont count my harvest the same way as im doing kief hash with a pollinator instead of trimming it all to pot
i had a fair amount of kief this year and next year im looking forward to a large harvest
exactly how much im not going to tell for security reasons
but i can tell that this years harvest fell unto a very empty spot as im out of a job due to the crisis and the harvest seems like its going to save my next mortgage payment and a badly needed new clutch for the car
maybe also a small poly greenhouse in the spring if too many unexpected bills dont turn up before that
and future seed sold at seedbay would earn me credit for new seeds for future breeding
so all in all im happy and satisfied and i dont have any bad guilty what so ever to have grown more than i can smoke myself
the more locally produced hash and pot smoked in my country, the less money goes for criminals bikers, immigrant gangs and roadside bombs abroad

the bigger my grows get in the future, the more i can secure the possibilities to keep breeding and hopefully expand

i dont see how it will be too much work... workin it as tho it were your job, a guy could do a truckload of it if the harvest was staggered enuf. and since ur doing mostly hash, it should be much less work than normal. it might get boring but its gotta be better than sittin in the office all day. if it ends up being more work than u can do, just leave em hang.. grind for seeds next spring and compost the rest. growing in a cornfield, you arent investing all the energy and money in soil and fertilizer, so your not out anything if you cant finish every last plant:2cents::joint:

Empty spots can be put back, if you wait till the ground is soft after a rain, you can make holes in the ground with metal spike or stick. I used the spike from a fishing umbrella. With a machete cut some corn stalks at an angle & push into holes. You can camo plants, conceal paths. Stalks like this will last for about 10 days before going yellow. Spend some time doing this & no one will know you were there.

Hey Gunnar last year I also put a few plants in the corn and was very pleased as to how they did. I found many spots in the corn feild where there was already corn missing. I think alot of it gets washed out by spring rains here. The more I walked in the corn feilds the more spots I noticed I could have used.

Barefoot:
No didnt use perlite in corn last year and dont think ill do it this year either
no doubt it will be better but regarding the cost and extra work i dont think ill do it with 1000 plants or more
the soil is already pretty loose and good in the fields so i think they extra gain is minimal compared the the labor and cost of having to bring it to the fields and mixing it with the soil

Guyute54
i also saw some but i guess thet will take to long to find in the scale that i need
ill plant berween rows for most the spots but when it comes to the spot where im planning to have Mighty Freeze i think ill chop'em down cause from Outdoor strainlist i saw a guy doing MF and it seems some of the phenoes will be too small to compete with the corn between rows
that field ill chop and use the method of cutting corn and sticking in the ground after harvest so the farmer doesnt notice the empty spot
i think it was fingaz2 who gave that excellent tip?
tnx alot
the rest of the fields will be done between rows as the strains should have no problem competing with the corn

the strains and crosses i have in large numbers for now to the grows and early enough is for corn

Early Dane ( smaller seed grow )
erocket x danish passion f3
Danish Passion
Danish Passion x oldfarmer nepal
Freja - SAGASEEDS
guerrilla gold x danish passion f3
leb27 ( only if you dont need mature seeds)
mighty freeze / smaller seed grow)
mighty might x b3n7/erdpurtxroyal dane
royal dane
royal dane/heavenly eardpurt x b3n7/erdpurtxroyal dane
royal dane x erocket/danish passion
royal dane x oldfarmer nepal
thyphoon

all this strains and crosses so far and a maximum of seven spots
ill have to do some hard selecting :(

yeah soil in the cornfields is good enoguh for MJ. Perlite is good for the structure , but so is cococoir , and cococoir doesn't stand out as perlite. But yeah for 1000 plants lol , let mother nature just take it's course:D

Should they have nutes deficit u can always use organic npk pellets and 1-2 months before flowering u could add a bit of bone meal so it has the time to dissolve when flowering starts

Some fields will be sprayed even when the corn is at knee height.... Be careful bro.... Don't forget to check out the edges for spots too, that'd be ideal I think... :headbange

for seeds and testing purposes these have already been decided

danish passion
Early Dane
Freja
guerrilla Gold x danish passion f3
mighty freeze
royal Dane

i still have a hard time picking the rest
might have to expand the numbers of spots even though it will increase the workload

thc123:
yes im using pellet fertilizer also, although i water them with a mild Canna solution after being transplanted to the field
pellets arent organic though

Pipeline:
the main idea is using the cover and good soil within the corn fields
might find another spot for seeds with the later flowering Afghan Nordic, but need to bring soil as i had a spot with afghan last year in a forest with no added soil and the plants and harvest there was pitiful ( beside the shitty soil the spot was perfect though. easy access and fenced in so no visitors or deers. essential with last part as i saw many deers in the area when visiting it a night)
the extra spot depends on whether i have time to do them
but even though its not the biggest yielder its some damn sticky hardy strain i would like to get some seeds from
breed some more yield and early harvest into it and you've got a winner
