Blackone:
i keep my fingers crossed for your grow
remember its not too late as they corn is only a max of 10 cm high right now
and last year i was out late and corn was higher then canna but if you make a little room they will grow ok and as long as its early strains there no problems

Tnx Rootwize
its great fun for me to work with although hard work
i hope others get entertained and maybe even inspired from it
nothing is staged i just take pix from the work as it progresses
stay tuned as this is only the beginning
ill post a picture update tomorrow

Gunnar, mind me asking what sort of drying facility your intending to use for such a large crop?
some large room facility at a secret location
as its for seeds and hash i dont need to worry about curring but just to get it dry as soon as possible and ready to pollinator and seed picking
large room with oscillating fans, exhaust fan with carbon filter and dehumidifiers

as soon as they are dry they will be wrapped in paper and stashed away packed in strain to keep seeds separate
then they can be taken out one stack at a time and processed in the pollinators
plant remains from pollinators will be put in bags, later for seed sorting and maybe extraction oil from remains
sticks, stalks etc will be run trough a machine shredder and be used as compost to remove evidence and that way they make good compost to use for new plants next year

Hey Gunar,

great show man and a lot of hard work to do for u....but i will been payed back for sure....

May u can help me:

I have 2 Jamil Sayyida Mum: Leb27xEsben PPxReder.Erdpurt. Purp. x Purpureat

Today i started to taking clones for the corn....

Ok do u think the Jamil will finishing in German early enough for corn??(i guess sure she will but i will ask other, too)

When do u will plant ur plants( i read late June beginnig of July) do u think beginning/middel of July is too late???

and what size has most of u plant when putting out in corn???

and the last one: With what will u feed ur plant...do u use also longtime Feedings???

A lot of questions, but may u have the time to anwear...

Peace Buddah

hey Buddah
regarding Jamil Sayyida im not sure as i havent grown it
but from genetic info i would say its defenitly going to be a good outdoor strain but wheter it will finish before corn is harvested i shouldnt be able to say
im sure Karma who created it or Esbe who supplied some of the genetics can give you better info on that

nothing is too late in corn as long as you pre grow them at home to e decent size before putting them out in corn

here the corn should be safe to plant in from mid June and forwards

wheter ill plant them out there or wait a little depends on how tall the corn is by then
i need some cover to work in as even though i only do the planting at night, i still need to be able to lye down to cover myself from cars passing and lights up the fields

yes i use long time feeding also in form of pellet fertilizer
when i do the transplant i also water them one time with a gentle nutrient sollution
i also spray some pellet fertilixer around with lots of nitrogen content in it
later i add one more time of growth pellets if needed.

in start august or so i put some pellet fertilizer in with more flowering suited npk values
not much later then mid august as max or the harvested plants will contain too much fertilizer remains
this is less essential to me as i only grow for seeds and hash but if your growing sensimilla i wouldnt go much later in order not to end up with bad tasting sparkling weed

Lots of good points in your thread Gunnar! Thanx for that. Specially because I'll try my first time in corn this year.

I put there 4 Jamil Sayyida and 2 Szamankas. Hope JS is early enough to harvest them before corn harvest. Go on Buddah! We can check Jamil in corn together!

I am also doing this in a cornfield, which is 8inches of loose dirt/clay, and then the rest underneith is pure clay.

How does the corn grow so well but people keep telling me that weed will not.

Are your cornfields filled with clay?

Thanks, and best of luck to you

tnx for all the response

i can only say
YES, its a big work and its far from over yet
ive had some problems with my back as the greenhouse isnt tall enough for me to stand up in which has given my some pains working in there
had to take some brakes because of that and work on other things but i hope to have the last plants transplanted in the greenhouse later to day or tomorrow at latest
there be some picture update also very soon from the last few days

well heres a special one for Kalle

my Cindy update

img0056xqw.jpg

first cindy from left is a little vigorous survivor ( both first2 phenos is from a seedbatch from a generous and kind grower and the seeds originate from Farmerjohn, they four legget pheno is from Kalle from back in the days where he breed real dogs ;) )
she was almost killed by mice
they cut her stem down to 10 cm and ate all leaves and almost all the stalks
there was some very tiny bud formations left but i managed to make her survive

second one is my mommy also back from Gunnars lab1

third is the four legged pheno
havent flowered her yet but shes always an up happy high
sticky?
well yes
she has a tendency of being a heavy licker and i havent been able to train her otherwise yet but im trying hard still
a very happy and loving pheno
some time since i had her on a weight but i would estimate her to around 40 pounds by now

but i think i found her future playmate
an old friend of mine has a really beautiful and loving big American Bulldog 6 yo male
they are both perfectly in structure and the happiest of minds
theyr offspring would make a nice f1 i think

a genuine BullRott cross

well she aint mature for litters until next summer but i think they their offspring would be perfect both in body and minds

might name one of the future puppies Mosca for all that his presently doing for Cindy and the community

you will note that i seldom post. i log on to read and learn and pretty much leave everyone to their own methods. but i am surprised at the number of peeps who have grown in corn in the past that still have not picked up on a couple of tips i will leave you with.

i grew up on a farm in the midwest usa and concur with those who plant in corn as grow conditions for a guerilla farmer are as close to perfect as one will find. mj and corn have similar fertilizer requirements so this ground is ready to plant into and is generally weed free. most corn field planting here is timed for the 4th of july weekend as this is the point where regardless of the corn variety, it is now too tall for sprayers and your plants are safe. this fall, when you drive by some corn field, take a good look. field corn does not get 12' to 15' tall anymore. genetics have been altered so the energy goes into the corn ear.

and these cliches about "pull 2, plant 1" are just so much nonsense. this will work when the corn and mj are about the same size but we're talking about the first week of july. and "knee high by the 4th of july" goes back to my grandpa because corn these days is nearing the 6' mark by july 4th hiding the mj and mj farmer quite well. (it really helps to be able to service your plants in day light hours.) in these circumstances, this is what i would recommend. yes, you need to pull 2 or 3 to set your plant but once it is set and you look up, things are pretty shady yet! make sure you are planting in corn rows with an east/west orientation for proper sun! and here is another big time trick i saw no one propose: all of you know that mj usually grows best in full sun, but how do you do that in a corn field? as the corn reaches full height, it will also start shooting ears. you need to snap the corn stalk off right above the ear on that corn that impedes light to your plant on all corn surrounding the mj plant. once the corn shoots the ear it does not need the top part of the plant to fill out. try this out! your plant gets the light it needs and the farmer gets his corn, less the pull 2 plant 1 of course. once the corn is ready to pick the stalk has seriously deteriorated anyway on many plants and only the bottom half still supporting the ear yet to be harvested. again, check it out! farmer will not notice if you are careful.

most midwest farmers use some method of crop rotation. by this, i can be 99% sure that a field in soy beans this year will be in corn next year. many farmers plant corn after corn so you have to be aware of that. grain crops like oats or hay crops containing nutrient rich alfalfa and clover are also usually followed with corn.

and you peeps that live in the midwest usa who are interested in corn fields need to pay attention right now cause corn fields today often contain a garden spot all your own! today we have big farms and few farmers who use large equipment. corn planters in my area range from 12 to 24 row models. a consequence of using these huge planters is that often they will leave nice, wide garden areas for you right in the fields! fields are never exactly square so when planting with these monster machines, nice wide patches of nothing growing are left in the field. and now is the time to spot them as one can tell if the field is planted in corn or beans as well as see these spots that the planter missed. something needs to be planted there, methinks?

i am tired of typing and have given away enough secrets today. lol. it does really help to grow up on a farm. i'm a grandpa now so i needed to develop other criteria in this guerilla biz. my rule number one is i must be able to service plants during the daylight which mandates that i must be able to enter and leave the garden without being seen. i will try to cover how this is done next in my "advanced corn field techniques 101". lol.

KM:
tnx and
well yes theres always the possibility of pigs stealing my harvest but choppers arent so commen here, neither is large mj corn grows and most will be done among rows so i hope im safe
last year i had 8 small fields
only lost one and that was to a farmer harvesting early
so i hope to have the same luck this year

been busy lately but heres a "little" update
some plants was transplanted some time ago and have grown bigger then others that where transplanted later
the corn here is apr 15 cm high in the fields and once the plants have had a few days to get use to the new larger pots they take of pretty good in the greenhouse so i have no fear about them not being able to comped with the corn in size

some of my newest mothers
they where rooted in a DIY aquarium cloner, then transplanted into 0,5 liter pots outside and just recently been transplanted into 4 liter pots ( apr 1 gallon)

my older moms back from when i was running Gunnar's Lab1

various danish land races and crosses getting some size and getting ready for the corn later

Freja from Sagaseeds
new semi auto flowering strain im testing this year
very promising
at the bottom theres some Double Dutch clones been out in the GH after having rooted
they will be flowered later keeping 3 of them as moms

Early Danes
they where the first to get new larger pots

Danish Passion

Royal Danes

small moms again
Amnesia haze ( Odj cut), SSSDH, Sour Diesel, Sweet Skunk ( spice of life -original clone), Cheese ( exodus clone), Happy Brother ( Karma Genetics), Fat Russian ( Crazy X -White Russian x Chronic) and some Bifrost ( Sagaseeds, sativa selected Bubblegum)

again Bifrost from seeds, then 3 skunk#1 from Sensi ( seedlings, sex unknown ) then 9 Endless Sky f2 ( DrGreenthumb)

look at the fat indica structure already on this small seedling and guess the strain?

you just won a million
its correct!
Deep Chunk ( Tom Hill - bred and handed out by a kind south European grower)

2 more DC

2 c99 from Mosca

2 Double Dutch x c99 also from Mosca

13 Trainwreck from Crazy X
