What happened to pollen being able to travel for miles with the wind..

My dreams of sensimilla be gone with the wind. lol

sure I have read it can blow like a kilometer but I live in the woods every house has to have at least 1 acre to build on. My backyard is all bushes and trees so chances of pollen blowing threw bushes without hitting them and sticking is slim. I guess a bee could transfer it but still how much? enough to make a couple of seeds surely not going to pollenate a whole plant.

Dr. Biology: Well, how far can these pollens that are spread by wind travel?

Vaughn: Most pollen that is dispersed from a plant travels about maybe 100 meters. That's about three football fields. That's where most of it is going to fall pretty close to the plant. But a small percentage and it depends again on the size of the pollen, the type of the plant, but sometimes pollen can travel, oh, miles and in some cases they have found that even a thousand or two thousand miles away from its source.

Ah, crap. They're sideways.
I'll post them as they grow and fix orientation later.

If you crop the images before you upload them they wont be sideways. You dont even have to remove anything from the photo, orientation gets corrected when it is saved.

So what are you guys/gals doing for trellis/support of the girls. Mine are getting pretty big so I need to get a plan in place for supporting the hopefully very heavy buds.

I was thinking about driving some 1x1 12foot long into the ground on four corners of each plant and using string to tie around the whole thing with branches being supported by the string. Pretty much big tomato cages, but with wood and string instead of wire.

Will post some pics of the girls later, it's raining right now.
