Boreal Curing
Thanks bro! I got a basic tarp setup, I'm hoping it helps even if just a little. Good luck to everybody still got outdoor going tonight.:woohoo:

Tarp helps lots Agent. I woke up to 1/16 inch of frost this morning. Swazi took it like a champ. So did the Honduran. I took a couple Swazi down because they're far away but I'm gonna roll the dice on the rest another week. Lol

Edit.
Next 2 weeks look good :

I was in a panic last night over 3 degrees had a light frost on the lawn for a few hours. Hope my confidential cheese made it, still got 2 weeks left to finish.

I haven't grown outside since like 1990 but if I did it would be a metric shit ton of autos. Could even sneak in 2 crops in late spring and summer

Got some new gear starting to roll in. Winter projects to keep me busy and get ready for next spring :)

Trimmed up the Lemon OG plant yesterday afternoon into last night.
25.3 oz of trimmed bud and 8 oz. buds and sugar leaf trim for bubble hash.
Not bad. I'm happy with that.

We got our coldest night yet this year. 44 degrees. The two plants I still have outside did just fine.

My tarp wrapping worked great. We had 29 overnight and they came through fine. Looks like we get another week at least. I did find a couple of very small spots of budrot with close inspections today, but not bad for some Sativa's in a clearing in the woods.

Congrats! I was just telling someone that harvest this year is a daunting prospect. I'd better get a space ready sooner rather than later.

Does everyone have any advice on storage? I think there's going to be way too much for jars, so I'm thinking of buying some rubbermaid totes, which I think has a 14 gallon capacity.

Daunting is a great word for the ridiculous amounts of work needing to be done  I use a vac sealer and foodsaver bags for my outdoor. I hang dry for a week then go into brown bags for 2-3 days then into vac bags that I leave long enough to cut open and reseal at least 5 times. I don't vac all the air out so I don't crush the bud but know there is a good seal. I cut the bags open once a week to check and move buds around then reseal repeating till I have the bud stable and ready to smoke. Once it is cured you can keep it vac sealed till ya need it. Good luck :comfort:

If you go to usplastics website they have great selection of food grade, airtight containers that are reasonably priced. Plus anything else you can think of made of plastic.

Looks like today will be the last day for my Blue Dream plant.
About 5-6 days straight rain predicted starting tonight.

Trimmed up the LemChem plant last night.
18.4 oz finished product.

you want to gauge ripeness by looking at the capitate stalked trichomes on the bracts, where the seed would grow, not the sessile trichomes on the leaves like the ones you keep picturing.

the sessile and the bulbous trichs with no stalk on the leaves start changing to amber weeks before the buds ripen.

this is the part you look at.

ooh it looks like you have plenty of space still, maybe not after the next ones come down?

thought about using the trellis net but I had lots of pipe and straps so only had to buy a couple hundred more hangers to refit my flower room to drying chamber.

been leaving 4-6 day hung branches on my router overnight for evaluation and it's a great year so far on my samples, Sour Dubble came out gassy AF and my lips were sticky on the third toke today.

I just took 1 more down and the drying area is full. Supposed to rain here for the next week and I still have a bunch to take down including the scoutbreath as I like it to go as long as it can. Probably gonna lose a good bit to the rain but not much I can do about it except cross my fingers and hope for the best. Chunky you are rocking this year :woohoo: good luck everyone on the end of the season :tiphat:
