 Haha, they only picked 20 out of a possible 35. That leaves 80 applicants fleeced for $30,000 each!
Best part for me is none in my county, which leaves me free to grow my own legally w/o anyone breathing down my neck!
I hope it takes them another yr. to get the patient registration together.

80 X 30,000 = 2.4 mil......where does that money go to????

HL, glad to hear you'll be safe to grow for the time being. If they are working on stoner time it'll take another 2-3 years before any registration is set.

Thanks Bobbo and Cake.

I'm running low on shatter, so it's time to make some moe. I crush it up as well as I can with my hands before I pack the tube and try to pack it tight. I know strain has a lot to do with the yield. But have any of you guys seen significant difference by putting whole buds not packing the tube tight?

It goes to the Ma. Dept. of Public Health and goes to building a State MMJ infrastructure. They just hired a 'EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF DPH MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROGRAM', bet she's making $80,000. ;)
I was pretty surprised they didn't push back today's announcement date. Patients were supposed to register @ the start of the yr. ([$50] and apply for 'hardship cultivator's permit' [$100]), but they delayed that - "DPH will not begin registering patients and caregivers until it completes development of an online registration system, at a date to be announced later in 2014." :dance013:

They're not on stoner time, they want to make sure they have iron-clad regs in place so they can squeeze every penny they can from it down the line.

Good ta hear HL.... I got one here in my state just 2min away..... I know the owner so I'm trying to get a tour and see what's truly going down.

It didn't go to the DPH.....it paid for the new addition on the Governor's mansion ;)

If my state allows OD cultivation I'll get my card again. .. but until then I'll be in the woods under the radar

Def. have to wait & see but I'm praying out of everything I got back I didn't lose my all time favorite ps (a11gpc) because I can :smoker: and then :skiiing: I really only smoke because it helps with procrastination, can't fuck with that wax like you guys do.

Trainwreck all the way to the bank!

Check it, courtesy of the Cape Cod Times.

Medical Marijuana of Massachusetts, with former U.S. Rep. William Delahunt as its president, was the big winner Friday, receiving all three licenses it sought, for dispensaries in Mashpee, Taunton and Plymouth.

The nonprofit organization's applications drew the highest scores given by the state review committee: 160 points out of a possible 163.

Delahunt's group will grow and process the medical marijuana for all three dispensaries on an industrial lot on Collins Avenue in Plymouth. The group will operate a dispensary on the Plymouth property and take product by armored car to its dispensaries in Taunton and Mashpee.

Delahunt, a former district attorney, said Friday he hopes the availability of medical marijuana will result in a decline in prescription drug abuse, a problem he called "devastating."

Mashpee's dispensary will operate out of a 4,000-square-foot building, with a guardhouse protecting its entryway, at 95 Echo Road off Route 130.

Projected gross revenue, according to figures in the application, is $3.4 million for the first year, $5.8 million in the second and $6.4 million in the third.

Salaries listed for the top executives in that first year would take a large chunk out of the revenue, totalling $1.6 million.

Because of start-up costs and unknown size of patient base, Medical Marijuana predicted it would end the first year nearly $1.3 million in the red.

i was just having this conversation yesterday with some of my buddies. Of course these politically connected ass holes are gunna get their foot thru the door first, especially since it aint no secret that there is money to be made. There will always be connoisseur quality cannabis, and mass market weed. Dispensaries are just shaping up to be the delivery mechanism of the mass market weed, the connoisseur market will become huge soon after legalization when a larger % of the public realizes dispensaries cant meet the quality standards. I also dont think prices for connoisseur elite cannabis will drop very far, although I bet the mass market weed will drop quite a bit in price.

I'm thinking about running an elbow of flowers... Lloyd, Otto, TC-- what returns are u getting per zip? 5g?

Did you do your oil runs yet? When I read what you wanted to process and how much, my mouth started to water. 5 g's per zip, should be attainable for you. I ran 2 ounces of my outdoor kosher kush and got 10 grams of oil. Same with my deadhead og, and silver La. With the strains your running, you should get a little more per zip than I did, especially cause it's indoor, my indoor usually always gives more return. I ran an ounce of primo LSD(Barney's) buds and got 7 grams back, it was the best run I ever did. Sorry for the rant in your thread, I just love making oil.

Smh... Sensless comment. What difference does it make staying underground vs. Hopping on the medical bandwagon? Im not against either people will do what pleases them. But at the end of the day legal or not the cats holding the elites WILL rise to the top. People arent going to settle for some backyard boogie when they can get cream of the crop just so they can make sure everything is 100% legal and kosher...

No mater what there is always gonna be something more hyped, or simply " better " genetics to be found. I guess to a certain point atleast. I Feel its amazing how far genetics have come in the past years. It's Interesting that if something is desired now, its gonna take you atleast 100+ days to adjust.

Man its fucked up how some of the people who tried to keep cannabis from you, will try to or will now profit from it. Then tax you.
