FCE seems like a good ideea for smaller or unusual size/form factor of grow space.
I would love to see how people are using the detachable bar function. Can you extend the bars on the sides of the frame, mounted on just one end, to lose intensity and gain surface? Or do you have to make diy suports/hangers for each light bar of it's not in it's default position?
I bet something like this would be more appealing if people could see a schematic or photo of some of the ways it can be customised.
Even a video demo would be great, but at least a pic or something. Is there a place we can see something like this? Cause I didn't see any grows on Icmag that make use of that function yet.

P.S. Can't wait to start the new grow as well.

Great test and video and another monster of a light. But I see the recomended height above canopy is 30 cm there. Seems too close based on what I learned from the TS line, and I think FCE is even more intense of a light than the TS models. Especially the 650W models.
Would you recomend keeping those that close?
Also, since soon I'll start my SP3000 grow, is there any place I could check info on how close to the canopy I should plan on keeping it? I'd say it needs to be kept further than the TSW2000 to have same light spread, so probably at about 40-45 cm? I personally like lights that spread light more uniformly and can be kept closer for efficiency, but I am sure I can make the SP3000 work for me, even if it's a light bar design.

That guy is very professional on light and grow. So i think 30cm is possible.
We get the feedback from some commercial growers. some of them keep the height around 10-15cm for flowering to get more yield. They would like to add some CO2 for that. The height of the SP3000 is similar with TS light just in case of light bleach.

Both are hydroponic grows sharing 3 Mars TS1000s.

I have my dial at about 70% and watts indicated about 401 to 403 watts.

My light is hanging at about 20 inches from the top of the canopy and temps at 74F.

FCE series is the best light to replace old TS series. The price now is only a little higher than TS models. But you will get a better design and quality light.

FCE3000 can replace TSW2000.
FCE4800 can replace TS3000.
FCE6500 can replace 1000W HPS light.
