Marijuana Growers Hire Armed Guards and Employ Booby Traps

Setting boobytraps no matter what property your on is in my view insane, unless you put up a warning and a fence. What if a family came along and got their 5 year old kid impaled. Everything else is just economics and the fucked up morality of the human race and this generation.

Some family shouldn't be trespassing on your land. I am all for being able to protect your property.

im sure there were no trespassing signs BEFORE the line up of impaling spikes. therefore, they are justified IMO.

Yea right - "Caution grow-op ahead! And some traps that impales your kids. Walk around bitches, its only about 10000 plants east."

Even tho you fork up a sign that people may or may not see this cannot be justified. Its illegal to grow weed and there is no way, after impaling people with your traps; that you are gonna get less heat on your ass. The point is to keep your weed and make profit from it, meaning your there until all buds are cut and the bus is loaded. Guess what im saying is; if your grow needs traps and guarding to keep outsiders out then you should probably pick a more secluded spot.

As consumers we need to take responsibility for where our money goes. All part of karma.

Even if you can't grow yourself you can try to get your money to non-violent folks rather than hard core crims.

"Thug free drugs" is what it is all about

Herbasaurus your here on IC Mag, that makes you a hard core criminal and a thug in the eyes of LEO, what are we all going to do when it really gets out of hand and they hit all of us with Rico cuz were members. Without the big growers (Thugs) most people would be dry. As far as karma, what must happen will, it is not our responsibility to decide who is good or bad. If you don't want my weed because we listen to different music or dont look the same, great, its not waisted on squares. fvck the dumb shit. Karma, One Love

I am not saying you wont catch hell for doing it, I am talking about it being a legitimate right and about there being nothing morally or ethically wrong with it. Again, people shouldn't be walking around your property unless they are allowed at at that point they should be made aware of the traps and their locations. I should also make clear that I am talking about growing on your own property and not someone else's.

End the prohibition. Legalize cannabis with no limits on the amount you can grow. The market will be flooded in 4 months and organized crime will be out of business. Who goes to gangsters to buy booze. Back to the good ol $15 a ounce days. Peace

I dont quite follow here, i see no legitimate right whatsoever to place traps anywhere unless your hunting food, even if your traps are marked with a big X on the map i dont see the point; who the hell will walk into those traps? And does that not defeat the purpose of having traps in the first place? If your growing on your own property then the only valid situation to use traps is beyond rigid fences any other setting is just wrong.

If i walked by a growop that had traps intented to kill i would have rattled on the bastards just for that, nothing wrong with growing pot tho, afterall its just a plant. If i walked in the forest and my child got killed by a trap; some growers would have died later that evening in a chaotic 50cal frenzy. Grow as much as you like, hell i even grow a little for myself but dont go all out criminal and loose all sight of whats really important aside from making money. If your in such a tight spot that you need traps, then find another location as said, or grow indoors.

My weed kicked in half way through this post, so i kinda lost my trail of thought :D

If you are on your property you can do what you like with it, hence it being your property. If I was on my property growing and I have a problem with people trespassing I would put traps around my grow to prevent ripping. Again you shouldn't just be walking into someone else's property that is trespassing and against the law.

wow i never thought id see canada and amsterdam going backwards while the US (specificly california leading the way) going forwards.... with increased penalties in canada and amsterdam while we are going towards legalization...

4 years ago i was ready to move to canada, or amsterdam for more cannabis tolerance but it looks like some good old american homegrown tolerance is doing just fine....

sucks that they have laws in place to prohibit a plant like cannabis and people have to use such violent methods to protect their crops. but you gotta do what you gotta do

and cyberwax, wtf r u talkiing about dude???? obviously growing on someone elses land is stupid. im assuming this is PRIVATE PROPERTY. therefore, no one WILL be "wandering around with there little kids" as you would like to put it, on this land. therefore, the only people that would potentially be on your PRIVATE PROP, would be rippers. and those fucks deserve whats coming to them for being theives!!!! get this point through your head!

your trying to defend the rippers!?, this isnt about the christian johnson family going on a nature walk with there toddlers! from your standpoint id say youve probably ripped a couple fields yourself!

A note: while there are some states in America which permit the protection of private property if warnings are posted, Canada is not America.

A trap near a marijuana grow should be expected to earn the grower a sentence of double digit years in prison in Canada if caught. There will be no leniency and the grower will be made an example of.

Just to protect against rippers? Very, very unwise.

I remember when pot growers were nicer than most people... what the fuck happened over the last twenty years? War on ourselves? It sickens me to think what a messed up scene it'll be in twenty more if violence continues.

Peace never hurt anyone. It's really difficult to imagine getting back to where we came from at this rate.

money, greed and no empathy, the skys the limit.

Trespassing is against the law but NO, you do not have the right to mame of kill someone on your property (in the US anyway) just because they are tresspassing.

The fact that you find this perfectly ethical, well lets just say, I knew it all along.

First off...I am NOT saying I think it is ok to kill or mame someone for trying to steal pot...
However...I do believe you do not have a Family..because if someone is creeping around my house, and I feel my Family is in danger...I will kill him--

Lol I thought I made my position perfectly clear elsewhere so you should have known it all along. My property is my property and if you are on it and I didn't invite you, you are violating the law and my personal property rights. I am a firm believer in the right to my property and my right to protect my property. Perhaps you would like to debate the merits of personal property ownership and the rights to defend your property? It is against the law in most states in Canada and the US to have traps on your property. That fact doesn't make it immoral to defend your property as such.
