I have a question. My plants according to foomar and many others ," Plants need 35 days from pollination to produce good seed in quantity." , have gone long enough to produce good seeds. Some of the plants have seeds peeping out of the calyxes. On some of the others they are still covered. To test I removed a seed from the calyx on one plant and it looked OK if just slightly green. Here's what I'm getting at. If the seeds are not visible in a split calyx will they be a bitch to get out without screwing up the weed? Put a different way if the seeds are still in the calyx covering the seed and the calyx is not split. When the plant dries will the calyx split making removal of the seeds easy? I would rather they go longer if I have to do major digging and surgery to get the seeds out. What to do? Any ideas?
