Here we are a little further down the line! I added some calmag. Trying to PH to 6.5 give or take a bit. Nervous about keeping them healthy all the way through! Another reflowering would be fantastic! We live in hope.
Looking good brother! Just keep on like youve been youre doing a great job keeping them healthy so far.

got some time to go yet on them though by the looks

I appreciate the kind words Dr Bombay !

Its great to see you on the forum.

When I first started I REALLY wanted to learn how. ICMAG is the only reason I know anything about growing. I learned it all here what tiny fraction of Dos and Donts Ive managed to scrape together and find a balance with in my little world. All from following along with much better growers than myself - showing how its done for peons like me.

Keep growing you re definitely kicking ass with it. These types of plants aren’t the easiest to master thats for sure.

Well I guess it's about week 13 for these. You can see from the pictures that they are a bit droopy and some of the leaves have shriveled. They do not want to release from plant though. I'd have to really pull them off.

I don't know if the leaves did that because of a deficiency, so l ammended the soil again.

The floor was cold so l raised them up a bit.

I have been keeping spidermites down with my fingers. Gently crushing them.

Trichs are starting to appear so that's good. I'm thinking they have another couple of weeks in them and they seem to be reflowering.

Still, looking good! Looks like some fat colas in there even the tree cant hold the weight.

Cold temps will def interfere with them looking perky. What are temps like?

I don't know why fans do that sometimes, could be over-watering combined with lower temps which brings humidity up and contributes to some damp conditions. Maybe get a small fan for the floor or aim a fan downwards somewhat to even out the upper and lower parts of tent. If possible, limit watering to morning and day time.

As long as she stays healthy enough to keep flowering you are good imo ...

Are you sure they are spider mites? I cant see them unless I use a scope. One tell-tale sign of mites is white specking of leaves

Hey Chrono. Thank you for stopping by and having a look. The temps are about 25C day and 14C at night. Humidity is about 50.

Lights are 240w. Water PH is about 6.5.

I think part of the leaves thing is nutrients based. It's just weird the way the leaves are shriveled like that.

They do seem to be reflowering still and l agree that is ticket. They are getting heavier and trichs are starting. Still, l want to be able to keep them green and healthy the whole way through. Thank you for your details re watering. I will regimemt those wstering times. I have a long way to go re growing!

I assume spidermites based on the webbing. The small ones l cannot see until the web appears. It thankfully is only on a couple of buds. There is white speckling on leaves. I sprayed some alcohol and water some weeks back and l think the mixture was too strong. Hence the yellowing on some buds. I'll really clean tent after this.

My experience has been that l can't dial in a good grow over winter months because of heat. So l'll start with some banghi in March.

I'm excited to try this current grow and want the smoke to be all that l've read.

Yours look spectacular and l enjoy seeing them all! Here's to a full pipe at Christmas!

Thank you as always.

So week 14 is here. Looking a bit more sparkly. Thinking about another 2 weeks for these two?

They look a bit beat up l know. I just ammended about 2 weeks ago. Is this final flush or ammend soil further?

The tent is at 25C day and 14C night. 50% humidity. Lights are usually at 240w and sometimes boosted to 360w.

6.5 PH water

You are so close man!

" Is this final flush or ammend soil further?" ..... wish I could tell ya, I know that feeling very well. ALL I can say is use your best judgment with a bit of intuition. If you think they will be ready in 2 weeks then maybe hold off on the nutes. On the other hand I'd hate to have them underfed in the last week if it turns out they need an extra week or so .... Its a catch 22 unless of course you could see the future .... One thing I'll say is that flushing isnt as important as I once thought, especially if you havent been over-feeding them. Also, in soil theres no way to flush all the nutes out, but I can understand you're aiming for a low nute situation for the final weeks and days. It's a tough call I guess only you can make.

They look really good though and have matured quite a bit since the last few posts. Nice work man! They put on some bulk after all. Killer.

Hey thank you as always Chrono. Appreciate your input.

Tough decisions indeed. They do seem a bit heavier. I'll get to see what they should look like with yours. :)

I think l'll forgo the additional nutes. I'm targeting about end of November. If determination be alchemy then may my stars not be crossed and my decision sound.

I also wonder if there will be seeds.

That would be neat. I have really enjoyed growing this. None of the other plants were like this. I have learned lots as always. Apparently you can fill books with what l don't know. It just grows like crazy. It's quite something.

Trust that all is well with you and yours and you are having a great night. Do you think you can use a roller bridge even if you don't use a bigsby?

That would be neat if you got seeds! My p haze males are both in flower now. One is dropping pollen for sure. Exciting times!

I do appreciate you posting these up as it gives me an idea also what mine should look like as well :)
hope your alchemy rings true dude. I've got my fingers crossed that mine will be done by 16 weeks.

A roller bridge should work without a bigsby .... not sure though as it would depend on the particular bridge as well as the particular guitar. What you got for a guitar?

Ha ha! That's true re setup. I got a new Epi SG for fun and wanted to put a new Bigsby on it. I don't like the repro l just got so was thinking about setting it up with just the new roller bridge. I'll also add a tusq nut when l do. I am also a bit guitar crazy. So l don't want to get going too much. Do you have any guitars? I have a few acoustics and electrics. Not a great player though. When l had that male plant in the tent this summer it surprised the heck out of me.

Here they are today. Some worn out looking plants l know. I think this is week 15. I plan to run them 'till end of November. I can't see any seeds.

They are looking good imo and are doing fine. Good growing my man
Just keep an eye on sugar leaves .... if you see them completely yellow poking out the bud that can be a sign of botrytis. My panama got chopped at 11 weeks for that reason but I did learn something from it so I'll take it as a win and not a failure.

Thats cool to hear that you play!
There are a lot of similarities with putting together a guitar and putting together a grow

Getting the right aftermarket parts is so tricky sometimes too. Tusq nut is the way to go. I put together a parts-caster not too long ago. Maple fretboard alder body sunburst with tortoise pickgaurd and white pickup covers. I used a black tusq nut because I thought it looked cool with the black dots and side markers on the neck. I also have a Yamaha acoustic and recently got a Gretsch Jim Dandy, which is a funky little acoustic and great for blues and roots music, I couldnt pass it up for 115 bucks

Its cool to see those buds starting to swell up with frosty calyx, they are really starting to flex now. How is the aromas on them?

I think your estimation is on point but if they are not quite done even if enough is enough, keeping in mind some phenos will just seem to keep going ..... dont be afraid to hold off another week on em. You might be surprised how long they can hang on with no nutes. Predicting chop times is always a struggle, the only way to really know is if you know the line well, or you have grown that individual plant before. Thats one reason I love having cuts and keep mothers.

seeds might be hard to locate at first sometimes its not obvious that they are in there.

Ha ha! Congratulations!! I now can recognize and relate to that. That's what it looked like in my tent. I really liked that plant. It was so vigorous and cool looking.

Ya man re the guitar 🎸 building. That partscaster sounds sweet! I like the Dandy. I thought it was like a recording king or Stella or Kay. What guage strings? Fun sound to have in the stable and looks vintariffic. I just got a epi lp jr for same reason a couple of days ago. I want to paint it tv yellow and some small mods. It's got some funky metal humbucker in it. I would love to find a p90 for that in my stash.

I am like indeed like l grow with my guitars. I mostly play acoustic. Electrics are a fling! I am learning setups etc. I still rely on the alchemy with guitar repair also. Few things are as satisfying to me as being high and playing and listening to music. :)

Do you know oxacan strain from green mountain? I read that is a happy strain.

Thank you as always for the tips and sharing experience. It helps. I have continued to feed calmag when watering and bit of massive bloom or some such like kind of thing. The lights are at 240w.

Also there is not much to report re smells. It smells good when l touch stems. Kinda mango 🥭 sweetness. Love that smell. Otherwise not quite as aromatic as other grows. Mind you l could have burned the trichs off with the light

Yup the dandy is exactly that, a replacement for an old kay that I probably will never find, at least in playable shape.
Check this out:

"Do you know oxacan strain from green mountain? I read that is a happy strain."
Nope but David Crosby mentioned it when asked about todays weed vs the 60s weed. He said it was all pretty low quality until someone found out about Oaxaca grass and that was a different story

Mine is also not very stinky, more subtle aromas for sure but today she was smelling a lot like the other haze I have going. More dirty metal and machine oil, but woodsy somehow. The black haze really does smell like a handful of pennies. This p haze i think will develop some nice fragrance as it cures though. Dubi was saying that the O haze and such are much more subtle or subdued compared to most modern herb and some of his other hybrids like zamaldelica kali china which is freaking loud with lots of different terps.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours man! I love the description of the smells. Still subtle aromas are nice.

I didn't know that re Crosby and Oaxacan. Makes sense. I know at some point he was going to get into the industry with a secret strain. His wife grew some nice plants. Ace distributes green mountain seeds and the reviews and comments here are great. I think the breeder is vermontman on here. Great to hear history from him.

I have a few of the older Kay/Silvertone/Harmony guitars. I like them. Some need neck resets but who doesn't. Txs for link. Ya l got the epi for 100 also. How can you walk away from that?

Your plants are looking super. So stacked. 20231121_093642.jpg That black haze will be special. Have a great relaxing Thanksgiving!

Nice plants, coming in late for the show i guess :tiphat:
Grown Purple Haze x Malawi several times, and really love it, great yield, resonable flowering time for a sativa of such a caliber and really good and positive high, i think this strain is underrated :)

When i look at the picture from last saturday they look like you are getting in the harvesting window.
Guess they should be ready to chop now. But in the end it´s personal preference.

Hey early-bird thank you for checking out the plants and sharing your experience. Really appreciated. I like the description of the high also. 😀 Who wouldn't want that.

Yes it's interesting re harvest window. I think you are correct. I am still figuring harvest out. In my grows to date choosing the chop day gives me a feeling that l'm sure high stakes poker players must feel. I took some pictures of the trichs just now. They look cloudy to me.

I am perplexed though. If they are ready to harvest how come they still produce flowers like that? I'm assuming that's what the white pistles are. Does that mean the plant branches mature at different rates? Just musings... 20231124_105928.jpg 20231124_105838.jpg 20231124_105808.jpg 20231124_105740.jpg

I think l will chop very soon! 😊 Thank you again!
