Looks great I would vac seal it now and let it age for at least a month three is best.
The high will depend on the maturity of the bud when picked.
But looking at it now it looks great and I would cob the whole plant or at least the best buds at harvest.
I will get my wife so you can explain to her why she can't have any buds to smoke that she has been watching mature for weeks now :p

Also I'm chopping some Malawi x PCK today. Is that OK for cobbing or should I wait for some more KA5H buds to mature?
I don't see why not. It's predominately sativa, though I see many are doing hybrids and even indicas these days and reporting good things.

if you get a chance, please put up a few photo's.

I still have may weeks left before my first plant comes down and am getting a little envious of all you guys making cobs.

I just vacuum packed 3 big buds and floated them in the ice-box at 33°c and they will come out in 14 hours
It's the top bud off the 3 different pheno MxPCK's I chopped on the weekend. Don't tell the Mrs :p
They've been rack drying in a gentle air box for 2 days and I rolled them in baking paper to get them round and semi compact then put them naked into the vacuum bags
Very stinky and sticky :)

The bud from the post above is the fat brown one. They still have a bit of moisture in them so I was thinking of leaving them out over night and repacking tomorrow for a few weeks?
They have a slightly sour smell close up but smell much nicer at a distance
What do you think my next move should be?
Cheers :)

Overnight at very least. You won't over dry them easily, just pack em up when they feel dry.
Looks like the starting material could have had another day or two drying initially

otherwise looking good.
The aroma will moderate with a bit of drying and ageing to cure I suspect.

The fat brown looks like it will be a wrecking ball given time.

Thank you for the advice. It's great to have such experienced guidance
I was wondering about the dryness also, but we live and learn. We had some cold weather lately which slowed it down
I have another KA5H coming down very soon to try again with :p

Satori cobs, about 1.5 months old.

Hi everybody!

I thought it was a good enough time to take a first taste yesterday! :canabis: And I'm glad I did.

(EDIT: Oh yes, and I ate more this morning, too!)

The nose is a tropical fruit candy, more fizzy fresh than sickly sweet. The taste is loud and there is a peppery explosion of terpenes as soon as you start chewing it.
Not quite face-numbing, but still impressive to me. But the taste is also obviously immature, as is the effect.

The effect is happy and relatively clear, but it doesn't go very deep, and passes a bit quickly. But still a very promising experience!

Sounds like they're getting there. Check them out in another few months and they'll be awesome.

Thank you so much brother Tangwena! :smoke:
I am excited too! That fizzy fruit thing is a first ever for me, although having grown Satori many many times. And it is even somewhat present in the jar cured as well.
Yes I still smoke, but loving it less for every day, and slowly but surely moving away from it. Guessing it will drop month by month now!

All the best with the fishing my friend!

@Onboard , I smoked a spliff the other day for the first time in 6 weeks and didn't really like it (Our daughters here and loves to smoke a spliff with the old guy). I found it quite cloudy, if that makes sense. I much prefer the hit I'm getting from eating it instead; And the effects improve weekly.

This morning after my hospital visit, I took 0.4g of panama and we all went and had breakfast on the beach and then had an hour in the sun,. I was so high!, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to drive. Naturally ,as soon as I got in the car I was perfectly in control and had a very smooth journey home.

Our daughter is not like most women and likes to get very high all day every day if she's not at work! She's been taking cob alongside smoking some well cured bud that I've give her and loving it. Tomorrow she's promised me to eat cob as soon as she wakes up and not have a spliff for a while; Sadly she mixes with tobacco and has the need to smoke regularly.

Thank you for the update, @Hombre del mont!
I can very much imagine that it didn't taste that good after such a long break. Just cutting down to 1-2 spliffs per day has made me much more aware of all the burnt paper and other foul tastes in a burning joint.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the effect of burned is real crap in comparison! Cloudy indeed, and a short rush at best. Kills the cob high, and makes you feel sick if you smoke one to many!

But still, the longest I went without was only four days. But it was still enough for me to really start enjoying cob for the night cap also. Which was a big deal for me personally.
So really, I am all out of valid arguments to keep smoking!

Will keep you all updated on the progress! :good:
