Here are my first attempts at macros. I'm using a galaxy s4. I've been experimenting with a bunch of different lenses I've harvested from various flashlights, etc. They all seem to give about the same result. The one thing I figured out is that this method gives a very narrow range of good focus. Which means you and your subject must be very still. I had a fan blowing my buds all over the place, so these didn't come out that great. But now that I know I think I can do better next time.

Beautiful shots Gil...

Any movements that close will mess you up for sure.
Love how the narrow perspective gives you control of what
is shown. . Lighting and backgrounds are huge for real
colors and holding steady for clean shot's.
Beyond that.. It's all about your mind's eye.

Have fun and keep them cover shots coming...

The purple nut sac is pretty!
I'm having a hard time being still enough to get good shots of fruit on the vine. So I pulled out last rounds harvest so I could set some shots up on a table and hold everything still.
