M.O.B (Mother Of Berry)

Money over bitches is only what dipshits call MOB. Its Mother of berry, and always has been. The original cut is a breeze to grow. Have been for about a decade now. She can show quite a difference in variation just by being grown by different people, and very different outdoors than in. The floral notes, and DEEP purple color come out way more outdoors. I've seen the exact same MOB cut grown by many different people, and it almost always has some variation from one person to the next. The only issue I have with seed companies working with this and other clone only elites is that they try or succeed in trademarking the name at least. And many times tarnish the name with sub par breeding results.
Ive also heard it called money on branches, but all the stupid names did nothing for the strain besides mask what the original parents were for the mob.wish we could find out what they are.

Any tips on keeping this plant from Auto flowering besides a 24/0 light cycle and not letting roots get bound?

Got 4 big ones ready to go out, but damn they are trying hard to flower under our 18/6 light schedule. Since the weather is still really bad for outdoor planting, I think I am going to try 24/0 for 7 or 10 days before putting them out, as well as transplanting them or atleast pruning their roots if they are bound at all.

I have 150 gallon containers for these ladies, and now am really thinking thats way too much.... they are about 3' tall and pretty bushy, but way too many white hairs.

^^More or less this or supplemental light outside. I've been dragging mine in every night and have done ok with 26w blue compact floro keeping them in veg. One grower I know vegs indoor until July 4th and then puts them out.

I know from experience if they go out too early when others might veg fine they will quasi veg and flower at the same time, foxtail and and grow flat loose buds. The nicest mob I ever grew were young clones in solo cup put out right about now. They went full veg and and made solid colas, roughly 1/4lb per plant as they didn't get too big. nice yield for the plant size though.

Im also curious if anyone is able to get them to veg relaibly outdoors...

24/0 is absolutely the wrong approach. Try to match MOB vegging to daylight hours, 16-17 hours light. If you have it on 24/0 and set it outside it will attempt to force flower and have to revege. That will definitely hurt your yield and final product. The point is to slip it outside without it realizing things have changed.

To be fair, if you've already set them to 24/0 then the pooch is screwed.

Mr Jay, are you talking about mob seedlings or the clone? Kony's are flowering at 18/6, mob clone at 16-17hrs will no doubt start pushing flowers and get freaky. Kind regards.

You must have missed the part where I said that light schedule doesnt work. Even 18/6 is too much dark cycle for this plant inside and it wants to flower.

Dude. That's just not true. You must be having another issue. My mom is chilling under that schedule for years.

My mob will auto quick if rootbound... Once up potted she will keep it up for quite some time but will snap outta it . From my experience a lot of fast strains will want to force flower if left in the same pot to long...

Well IDK what the make up of MOB is but I do know about a lot of plants. That plant screams LUI berry pheno.. The leafy buds and 50 or so days are dead ringer for LUI. To me I think it is a blueberry/grapefruit (sweet tooth) from LUI parents LUI = Ortega x Sweet tooth (sweet pink grapefruit x Blueberry)

Funny I thought of spg strains to... My sweettooth did it n so did sumthing else I can't remember the name atm but it was 100 root associated... As soon as the roots hit the pot ...

lol....It doesn't say its MOB.. but if you do the math. Buds look identical, flower time the same, autoflowers if rootbound ...you get the answer.

that is a LUI or sweet tooth no doubt about it.

Buds look very different to me, I just don't see it. Sounds like smells / tastes are much different as well.

Lots of strains fall under that category. Most early outdoor strains will auto when rootbound in my experience.

My 2 cents anyway, lets see what others think.

I can't really say without having grown or seen LUI in person, but it doesn't quite look like MOB to me.

To answer earlier questions, I am growing the highrise S2, not the original cut. I went on the daylight hours advice of the breeder who has worked extensively with the original cut and it worked like a charm for me.

I wish highrise hadn't shut down so y'all would get a chance to play with these S2 MOB. Krk knew what he was about.

I've grown LUI many times, they are not even close to the same variety. @Stoney- Yes if rootbound she does, but he was asking for things to do other than that, because he was having issues even when NOT rootbound and at a 24hr light schedule. We always got to make sure to READ the posts before responding!

Rooster - from this post he vegged them big indoors waiting to put them out into a big pot , never says what size pot was being used .. Put money whatever size pot he has them is is to small, if you let it get rootbound in a cup early n don't jump a few potsizes you will being fighting it the entire grow...

I guess wha I was trying to ask was are you growing from seed or clones? Are they also quick to auto flower? Hope your grow s going well, looking forward to seeing more. I agree KRK did good work, I see his stock is still available at seed heaven. the firemob x c99a seem nice...

roosta/stoney, are you guys saying that with plenty of root space your vegging fine at 18/6?

I have grown them from seed and clones from those seeds, the clones finished just a tiny bit earlier as expected from a clone. I have never had problems with them autoflowering, not even once.

They can be a bit of a bitch to clone, it just takes a while for them to throw roots.
