Lucas Formula

I started out with the Lucas formula and have used many different nutes over the years with pretty good results some with additives some without, thinking about going back and maybe just adding in some Phosphorus in flower maybe a cal mag if theres any signs I need it . any thoughts. I grow in DWC.I tried Coco but fungus gnats drove me crazy

I'm going back to NFT for the same reason. Also looking to go with the Lucas formula. I'm using T.A. DryPart Bloom and some Athena base to add nitrogen. And also the CalMag agent from T.A. as I'm using osmosis water.

Use calcium acetate for your calcium and magnesium sulfate for your magnesium. The key is the full and healthy pH swing to allow *all* the nutes to get absorbed properly.

Have fun. ;)

Why not just go with Jacks Hydroponics and Calcium Nitrate from J.R. Peter's?

Cheap, made for Hydroponic Cannabis growing, it's clear, same formula from start to finish, threw away Cal/mag, gave up res changes (add only), I could go on?

The Kiss method is one of the best if not the best fall backs for me, I try to stay with organics, truly. But the kiss method always saves the day if I start having problems. For me, the lucas formula/kiss is probably the best nutrient regimen for traditional indicas, and indca hybrids most seed companies sell. The only thing different I personally do is cut MaxiBloom with commercial 10-10-10 for my more wild/true sativa plants.

I have to agree with Lucas on the no additives, except... the rabbit manure extract I make. ;)
Only organically derived product I am sure will make my rez cleaner, while it increases health and terpene/cannabinoid quality, quantity and complexity.
Excellent shit. lol

I don't have a reservoir, but have you ever tried neglect tek compost tea? You basically just add organics to a bucket, plant material, urine, manure, anything asides meat. Seal it (so the death smell doesn't spread) and use it in a 20/1 ratio. Some plants respond amazing to it, but you have to really play with each batch ratio to make sure you don't burn anything.

In true hydro systems you might mess up your system, but with organics outdoor its like free gold.

Edited to add that don't add to a hydro system, the death will mess it up lololol its self explanatory but you never know.

I tried various organics in dwc and regretted it every time. Snot, slimes, algaes and what not... no thanks!

I've tested my extract a few times in hydro now, most notably a several month (no dump) DWC bucket that let lots of light into the solution. Before I dumped it the water was still crystal clear, and I'd used the manure extract and KNF calcium acetate the whole time. ;) I'll have to look around for the photos I took, 'cause I don't see them in my album. ;(

Fun fact, adding rabbit urine and rabbit manure to a pond will (to a point) increase the clarity of the water and the health of the pond. Especially useful for fish ponds. Go look it up! ;)

Yeah urine breaks into a form of nitrate that is bio available to both microbes as well as plants, its kinda insane its not utilized outside of forming urea, I don't want to get off topic of the lucas formula. I might be wrong but what makes aquaponics viable is based off of urea exertion of the gills of freshwater fish as well as the fish waste.
