lucas 8/16 for autos

im wondering if anybody runs the lucas with there autos, either the 6/9 or the 8/16 version it really doesnt completely matter on this what im curious about is what week with a seed to harvest of say 70 day auto does one cut the micro out at? week 5 im guessing. if anybody knows please chime in, im not happy with floranova bloom and ive ran it three times now, back to lucas as i have the micro and for ten bucks can get more bloom.

Not true. Lucas works great for coco. I even use a modified/reduced strength lucas formula for my outdoor plants.

You do not have to cut out the micro for a seed run or a regular run. The plants do not need the micro, but it probably won't hurt to keep adding it.

From my limited auto experience, after about 3 weeks the veg is over. I would wait a while before reducing brown. Maybe try half strength micro and then reduce further later.

Watch your ph when reducing micro.

Just to clarify, the Lucas ratio is 8/16 GH micro/bloom., The Micro does not get "cut out" at all. Me personally, when I use Lucas (I mostly grow in coco, but dabble with drip-to-waste in Rockwool, soil and Waterfarms) I feed until 2 weeks before harvest, when I switch to water for a 2 week "flush". <-None of that is bible, it's the way I do things. But regardless, the micro does not get cut out.

what is 6/9? and lucas is a hydroponic formula which does not work quite right with other mediums other then water
Lucas works in ANY medium, period.:tiphat:

ive used both 6/9 and 8/16, i saw my most amazing grow spurt every with the stronger version, ive never ran it that strong day after day though, I was sticking to the weaker strength, i wonder if the leaves start to curl or tips burn if your not really carefull to have atleast 30 percent run off with 8/16but i could be wrong.

id like to not worry so much about run of and just feed my girls 8/16..then water, then repeat feeding etc as needed.

I grow in coco so I water with 8/16 every time. Drip to waste, run off every watering.

I bottom feed coco with 6/9. I used to water from the top and let the tray fill up. I have never watered to waste with coco and have never had any problems.

there was no disleading info in my post nor were there any bad advice given. im a newbie and was taught to only use the lucas formula in hydro. do you know what it is? being stoneded i thought the 6/18 referred to the light cycle. being sober i realized that this meant 0/1/3 or 0/2/6 in regards to N/P/K; an honest mistake on my part. soilless is akin to hydro and coco is soilless therefore most intelligent people would understand that the lucas formula could be used.

i ASKED a question that instead of an ANSWER; I recieved red rep and a nasty remark, now that is really mature of the person and tells me why new members do not post much. as well the reference of 100 posts in 2 months remark, means shut up! HOW does 1 learn other by asking questions, that are posts here?

the member that gave the RR was not even in the thread, gave no input, other then the ignorant statement attached to the above 100 posts thing.

to use the lucas formula properly mix a barrel up and fill your res. and as your water/feed lowers; you add from the barrel untill harvest.
by adding more bloom or changing the original mixture means you are NOT using the LUCAS FORMULA anymore. get YOUR facts straight before posting MISINFORMATION.

Just because you were taught something one way, does not mean there are other ways to do things.

I bet I am more stoneded than you.

Most people that care know that there is a slightly different formula for coco, 6/9. I think you are confusing a lack of intelligence with ignorance.

Was my remark the one you think is nasty?

Are you stoneded again or did I miss something?

huh?

Calm down.
You have a lot of advice for a self described newb. I think you should get your facts straight before posting misinformation.

There is a section of a large thread about modifying the Lucas formula. It has a schedule that cuts out the brown during flowering. The brown does not need to be in there for all of the flowering. The problem is that once you reduce the brown by more than half or so, it affects the ph. Many people do not want to deal with ph. It is easier to flush if you cut out the brown. I cut the brown by half depending on the plants and then stop using it near the end.

If you want to argue semantics, okay. By adding or subtracting nutes or water or adding other supplements like Floralicious Plus (which is fucking amazing) you are still using the Lucas formula, but modifying it.

Here is Rez dog's (?) coco Lucas schedule (I wouldn't use it unless you are absolutely sure about flowering time):

==The Recipe==

(All Products are GenHydro,pH at 5.5 pH)
(All measurements are per gal.)
6ml flora micro
9ml flora bloom
Kool-Bloom POWDER

VEGETATIVE STAGE AT 24 HRS. LIGHT ON
(18/6,optional)

Veg,Feed:

6ml flora micro
9ml flora bloom

Use the above 1/2-strength on seedlings and clones to 10" tall, then feed full-strength>on.

Based on 63 day 12/12 Flower Cycle:

Day 1-14
6ml micro
9ml bloom

Day 15-21
6ml micro
9ml bloom
1 tsp./Gal. Kool-Bloom POWDER (ONE FEED,DAY 15!)

Day 22-28
6ml micro
9ml Bloom

Day 29-35
9ml Bloom
1 tsp./gal. Kool-Bloom POWDER (ONE FEED,DAY 29!)

Day 36-52
9 ml Bloom
(AND ON DAY 36,a 1 tsp./gal Kool-Bloom POWDER Slam!!)

Day 52-63 (Flush)
5.5-6.0 pH h20 at 50 ppm

Now you know!!

ADDENDUM 9-6-09:

I've seen yields increase about 15% (!!) with the above modifications.

By the way, I wouldn't mix up new nutes until you actually need them. It doesn't do them any good to sit around.
