Mine are JD LR#2 also

Mine are JD LR#2 also

I just looked at your's, and it's looking pretty good. These seeds are actually seeds from a flower I pollinated which was originally from JD's LR2.. which is some damn good stuff in my opinion.. :)

Mine are JD LR#2 also.

I bought a packet of 5 fem seeds. I killed two after germ and remaining 3 have germinated. Though one is having a hard time getting out of the rockwool.

I'll follow your lead, but I first have to listen to them.LOL

  • So, you put them under the 150 W HPS after 11 days?
  • How high is your lamp?
  • What size container are they in?
  • Do you plan to transplant later or flower in the same container?

My plan is to move these into 1 and 2 gallon pots in a week and get them under the HPS. I'm using fox farms soils, specifically light warrior and ocean forest, mixed with perlite and worm castings. I will plant the jiffy plugs directly into the pots that the plants will finish in.
Will you be able to fit all those plants in 1 or 2 gallon pots in your cab?

I am using FOXFARM OCEAN FOREST also, you did add extra ingredients into your mix!

Looked up LIGHT WARRIOR seems like great stuff!!

I did not know it was available:wallbash:

Will you publish your recipe/ratios??

I have not potted yet, but if you publish your recipe I will go out and purchase Light WARRIOR, perlite and earthworm castings and add it to my mix.

I hope I don't sound needy.

Hey sneak and socbutter, I ended up having to go with all in 1 gallon pots for now. Possibly after culling the males, if there are any, I'll have room to put a couple of the best ones left into 2 gallon pots. That's kind of the plan I have anyways.

My soil mix is about 3 parts Fox Farms Ocean Forest, 2 parts Fox Farms Light Warrior, 1 Part perlite, and 1/2 part worm castings. Nothing scientific or anything I just wanted good drainage and something with good nutrients already in it.

I can finish these in these 1 gallon pots but I will need to feed them before they finish. Right now I haven't even watered them since potting a few days ago, and it looks like they won't need watering for a while yet.. At this stage it is very important to not overwater, and these baby's are still wet. I knew when I potted them that I didn't let the water drain out enough from the first 4 pots, oh well.. the plants still look fine and all, but why risk it, ya know? That's one of the reasons I put them under HPS, to help evaporate and dry the soil possibly.. I've got the bulb about 15 inches above the plants. The whole interior of the cab is white and is very light reflective. so I'm letting my temps get to about 80/81 and right now they are under 24hr light and in a couple of days they will go to 18/6.

Brilliant!!:yeahthats

Common sense is not so common!!

Thanks man! There are many on this site who are far more knowledgable than I am though, that's for sure.

The temps right now are at about 79 F. and the plants are looking good. It's not time to water the plants yet, but I still can't help looking in my cabinet at least twice a day lol..

I dont have a grow thread yet. but i am growing a dozen lowryder#2s outside in the woods. they were born on the 13th on june. and i havent seen them in a week. the weather sucked really bad the entire time. and the deers have been within 150 feet from my grow every single time i went. (4-5 time since a month). if next time i go, in 2 weeks, they are still alive ill start a thread with pics in the auto-flowering forums.

Wow sneak.. them damn deers.. I hear ya bro, everything I plant outdoors around here gets eaten, unless I spray coyote piss all around it.. I got a bottle from HD and used it on the OL's roses (earned some extra points with her there) :)
Anyways it worked like a charm.. I wish ya luck on your grow. Outdoors can be tough, and we still need to see how an indoor, and an outdoor LR2 grow differs.

Day 13/14

Day 13/14

The plants are thriving under the HPS .. growin like weeds :)
I still haven't watered them, and they probably won't need watering tomorrow either, but in a few days they'll need it, judging by the 'feel' of the pots, and dampness of the soil. The runt is still a runt lol.. I have no idea what it's trying to do, and I am not sure it does either..

Here's a couple of pics..

Day 25 .. Happy 4th!

Day 25 .. Happy 4th!

I was going to get this posted yesterday but got sidetracked :joint:

Anyways, the plats are doing great, I've got 6 females, one possible male, and a runt, lol. I see what already looks like a couple of different phenos, one taller and scraggly, and one more compact and bushy., but f*ck it, I'm keeping anything that aint a male. So far I've watered the plants twice since potting in soil. I have not fed the plants any nutrients yet either. They are all healthy looking and nice and green. The cabinet is starting to get crowded, and I'm concerned that once they get bushier, the underbrush won't be getting enough light, and well, even though those buds are smaller, they are still buds lol, and I want to maximize them. I'm thinking ov elevating the plants on a wire rack and putting cfl's on the shelf below it, so the undergrowth will get a few lumens, and hopefully help out what could end up being fluff or popcorn buds..
Another thing I suppose I could try is a small scrog since they are all close to the same size and have just barely shown sex.. not sure, but I need to decide quick, or procrastinate too long and just let them grow as is, lol.. oh well..

Here's a few pics of the garden, the runt, and a lady showing her sexiness..

Yeah that is what I did.

Like you I also have a runt, but mine has remained about an inch in height with the second set of leaves. I am thinking of culling her (LOWRYDER#2 feminized) and germinating another BLUERYDER or possibly a Northern Light in anticipation of my grow tent. IDK

Looking really good

Looking really good

I had 10 seeds... 7 popped and are doing good...

All of mine seem a little smaller though... :(

I think I had the heat to high for the first week when I had family in town.... the door was locked the whole time and it was hot in there.

I'll be watching for sure... it's great to watch someone grow the same thing at the same time.

Peace

Also... I just checked the dates... We started the same day...

I'll be watching for new photos.

Just curious... How was your first run with lowryder?

Hey MileHighGuy the same thing happened to me on my first LR2 grow.. I think I let them get too hot and they stunted a bit, I've since learned, and now I really watch the temps, and I also try not to water too often. I think the watering thing also got me on my first LR2 grow. I really overwatered at first, and that could also have helped stunt them some.. I got things under control and pulled it off though. I think I ended up with close to an ounce per plant off of 2 LR2 plants in one gallon pots.. I think I have a thread somewhere on here about that grow...
Anyways, I wish ya luck with your plants.. peace and keep growin'

I will be STOKED to pull and ounce off of each one....

I'm going to think positive and hope for closer to two from each...

I think that the plants will catch up quick now that the temperature is under control... Plus, I had two other big plants in there taking some of the light... They are now outside, the 400w MH is right over my DWC tub and I'm hoping for at least 4 females out of the seven... I think a few are showing sex... but it's to hard to tell right now... they are so damn small.

I guess time will tell.

Thanks for the info about your first grow, peace.

Now... time to start planning my Next grow while I wait.
