Living Soil Q&A

The "living soil" monotub method is an absolute joke for Cannabis. I had to use a phosphorus acid boost to keep the plants from getting infected with "Santa's beard". That's why Mills was so popular for a while.

I finally said fuck this shit after lopping off a room of moms near ground level. Motherfucking fungus ate them to absolute shit.

If that's the difference between "healthy" and "not healthy", how far up your plant the fungal infection runs, you need to reconsider things. Fungus can suck my dick. Good for one thing and that's rotting the roots after during or before harvest you don't really get to choose.

Most "living soil" growers don't realize their plants are infested with fungus. They've normalized it. "Chem dog bleach terps" "ammonia Catpiss terps" Seriously?? You mean the smell of rotting mushrooms and rotting buds?
What alot of people forget is that organics doesn't mean you just buy bottled organic nutrients and then all of a sudden your an organic grower. Nope true organics demand you to do research about the soilfoodweb, microbes, enzymes, fungi, good and bad bacteria, what conditions they need to thrive and what kills them. And finally to balance all that. In true organics you feed the soil and not the plant, the microbes and fungi feeds the plant according to root exudates the plant is sending out. It's alot I know but once you grasp the whole concept it's a game changer healthier plants, more flavorful buds, unmatched terps. So it's worth the investment. The reason people's plants get sick when new to organics is because they feed the plant and not the soil making the microbes "lazy" and they're populations small, giving way for bad bacteria to thrive since the conditions are not right for the good microbes they can't fight of the bad microbes. Sorry for rambling but the point is no matter how or what organic inputs you put into the soil if there is no microbes, enzymes or fungi to break it down into a plant available form then it's pointless doing organics, microbes, enzymes and fungi are your workers.

Hiya buddy,
All I can say is thank you for summarizing what organic and living soil represents. I appreciate your input and hope you will write more, and even if you can share your experiences

I think Sws covered it, and am sorry to hear about your predicament which i hope will get eradicated soon.
May I add that not only cinnamon acts as antibacterial but it is also a natural plant booster. You can also sprinkle a bit on the damp paper towel used for germinating seeds.

Hiya, a crow decided to sit on my plant, and as a result broke a main branche. Therefore wanted to share another benefit and use of cinnamon (and tape).
I put the steps in pics as I think it is better than words
Peace
PF

Hiya Living Soil Lovers aka LSL lmao!

Well today went for a hike and hunting for the Ali Baba Treasure of Organics and found them yeahhhh🤣

So found organic wood ash like 2-3 kg
Wood charcoal
Dried leaves with white mycelium
Donkey and horse pooh with hay
Tree roots and algae and rotten leaves in the river
Sprouting beans and lentils for a natural auxin serum or tea
And making this Witch stew which boils in front of my eyes

I also spotted a Willow tree and will gather a few new shoots to make a potent Growth hormone tea (will add aloe to it as well)

Will post the recipes later and maybe that could attract discussions and Q&As🤣🤣
🤣

Peace n respect

Growth Hormone and Root stimulator Recipe à la Persian Farmer:

Since it is organic the measures are not precise😂🤣😂

Few branches of Rosemary (10 for me)
Few new shoots of Willow branches (6-7)
Few dandelions (put all including buds and flowers)
Fermented Aloe Tea
1.5L water bottle

Cut all into peices or not🤣…shove all in the bottle and fill it with source water if you can or un-chlorinated (Leave tap water for 24hrs and chlorine evaporates)
Leave the bottle in a dark place for at least 2 weeks
Voila super potent formula I think!
Let me know your thoughts, ideas, criticism….all welcome so we can all make it better

Peace n Respect and Viva The Living Soil

Hiya LSLs,

Persian farmer microbe and fungi serum/tea recipe:

As always kindly comment, criticize to make the recipe better!

Collect a bunch of roots, dead leaves with mycelium and black soil in the wild, like in the woods or forest.

Shove them in a bottle or container. Add molasses (blackstrap would be great). In my case it was wheat molasse and raw honey. And cap it with stream water or dechlorinated water. Let it sit in the dark for a few weeks ( i leave it for 20days).

Voila you got yourself a colony of microbes and fungi that will help the plants in absorbing food

Peace n Respect,
PF

For the wood ash there is no particular recipe. Just add a few cups in your pots or a few kilo into your beds.

Mine are in 45L pots so each received 3-4cups which i then mixed in my soil

Dear LSLs,

This is a experiment recipe not for the faint hearted or sensitive people.

I call it the Witch Magic Potage! So basically in a container I first supercharge the vermicompost with Lacto B. and fermented beet juice (3-4 weeks). Then I add human hair, powdered wood chips like sawdust but only organic wood. Then I add my microbe serum and forest soil, and dead leaves with mycelium, and banana puree, wood ash, egg shells, crushed dead snails, fish heads and scraps, donkey and horse shit with hay, and top it with urine (no medicine or antibiotics in the urine). Let it cook for 2-3months and I hope it will be a BOMB! 🤣🤣🤣
