Knocked a branch off the fractal pheno of chem d x dirty taxi. Used it for a jar test. I’m thinking this is an easy 5-6% washer if not better.
Now will it be unique enough to keep? Smells a heck of a lot like Chem D to me. And I have Chem D already.
One of the others has a really unique sour profile

Chopped 4/5 five Star Dusts and 3/4 Chem D x Dirty Taxis. Day 61.
A few Star Dusts could've come down on day 56.
One of the Chem D x Dirty Taxi phenos has a very unique sour aroma.

Not tonight! But over the coming weeks I will wash all 21 plants I popped from seed.
Thank you very much Mike. Honestly finding washers from that cross should be really easy using like 10 females. I think at that scale you’d get multiple great ones. The resin is there across every pheno.
Check this out. Our mutual friend gave me some dried material to run from his harvest...
Smells like a combo of chem d, I-95, I-91, Dirty Taxi, etc.. It’s incredible.

Terps aside, anything that washes well I will 100% run again to test more thoroughly.
These ones got grown from seed, and I'd really like to try them from clone. I think I'll get better stretch and overall structure from the clones.
And BTW it's not that I don't love Chem D terps - I do. It's just that I have the D already and she is also a 6% washer. So if I get another 6% washer that smells just like D, it may not serve a functional purpose for me.
But then again, maybe it's good to find new recreations of old plants.
Excited to dig deep into the results and taste everything. For me I want the dankest smoke even more than I want the highest hash returns.

To continue my thoughts on the Chem D x Dirty Taxi strain - again @MOneYMiKe I am confident it is full of washers. I only had 4 females, but if we could hunt 10-20 somehow collectively, I know we'd find multiple amazing hash yielders.
In my small population I think the two biggest varying factors were structure and terps.
I had one runt, two very stout bushes, and one large candelabra shaped one a la GMO. IMO the last one is the ideal structure, as it provides the most size, stretch, yield and airflow.
In terms of terps, I think the ultra unique sour terp that I found in my variegated/lime green pheno is what I'd really love to end up with. It's a profile I was surprised to find, given that I don't think of either Chem D or Dirty Taxi as being sour.
If we ran a few more we could find multiple 6%ers and pick the one with the best terps and structure.

Also, I would not be surprised if my tiny runt pheno does 6-7% RTH. The resin is incredible.
But I would disqualify it due to structure and overall biomass. RTH isn't everything. If a plant takes way longer to veg out and yields far less flower, we can end up getting more hash with a monster 4% plant.

Went ahead and finished harvesting everything. We now enter the testing phase...

You got it buddy. Lord knows it'll be quite plentiful! I got 35 grams of rosin just from my end of the first run. Only did about 20% of the material.

Ordered a new hose for my pump sprayer. Had some kinks in my hose last time I tried to wash that made the process a lot more of a chore... Believe it or not it's those little things that make the difference.
So now I'll have a thicker rubber hose that's shorter and less likely to kink. With that in place I'll be ready to start washing all this material.
So what now folks? What should I focus on for my next grows?
I just moved my whole library out from the small tents and into the room with the big lights.
I've got 13 litte plants from seed going right now. After sexing that should be around 5-6. I'd like to hunt those in my 2x4.
Othwerwise I think 8 plants under the 2 big lights is what I'd like to do next.
