^^ I have some of cannabiogen's peyote purple I need to crack, only heard good things about there sats as well, destroyer? mextiza? panama?? Man, too many.

Gascan - My personal goal is to get a decent collection of moms and start my own breeding projects, seriously though, I live and breathe my garden, my life is my garden my garden is my life. I need to get a 3rd room going for breeding, I have pollen saved but I'm so nervous to chuck any pollen in the flower rooms, or even to take one out to pollinate it and then put it back in, last thing I need is a fully seeded production crop if ya know what I mean.... maybe a small sealed tent in the same room I veg in?

Incredibowl - I'll check out rare dankness, 72 days is way doable...

Darc Mind, when mentioning some landraces sats don't do well indoors, would that be the same reason why when I get heavily sativa leaning phenos, they yellow and drop fan leaves sooner whereas their indica leaning brethren are dark green & robust? Same soil/water/teas/lights et al. It's kind of fuckin' with my program LOL or maybe my situation is just simply - bigger plants, longer flowering = more food required, and they're not getting it since everything is catered to the short squat indies...

Crack those Peyote Purples man! And keep us updated. The nice thing about a 95% female strain is that finding a male suddenly becomes a prize.

CC -

Dropped acid for a week once, certainly wasn't 400mikes every 4hrs though ha!! What a trip, all that fascinates me man, that part of me that wishes I grew up in the 60's instead of the 80's! Thanks for reminiscing, I enjoy hearing about it! Surfers too - In general I bet they played a bigger role than many suspect in bringing different strains back home from across the globe....

Mr Sterling - I will soon, I've been anxiously awaiting to have the time to give them the attention they deserve! Those along with some Sour Strawberry Kush BX1 gifted to me by BOG, yes, it's time!

Oddly enough, my best lookin' ladies right now are from a 5 year old "mixed indoor" pack from BC Bud Depot - ha, whoda' though!

A favorite writer of mine, Hunter S. Thompson, summed up the deal pretty well I think

“We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled that 60's. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously - all those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit.

But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole life-style that he helped create a generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old-mystic fallacy of the Acid Culture: the desperate assumption that somebody or at least some force is tending the light at the end of the tunnel

Gonzo!

Breakfast! Fresh bread made using wild yeasts vs. dry commercial yeast. Made with a small amount of corn meal in the pre-ferment and I added grilled fresh corn kernels.

My heavily Sativa leaning girls have trouble staying fed without aggressive foliar feedings (kelp/alfalfa botanical) - specifically East Coast Sour Diesel and Golden Goat - and expecting a similar response from the Bruce Banner #3 I just got.

At first I didn't know of I'd be able to take em to flower without resorting to bottle feeding, but the botanical teas have made all the difference!

On another note: does anyone add/inoculate with mycorrhizae? Every hydro store has a lot of very pricy jars of various brands, but I know there's gotta be a better way/source

I use BioAg VAM-Endo Mix and here are the endo strains (and quantities) included:

Glomus intraradices..........104propagules/gm
Glomus deserticola............. 9 propagules/gm
Glomus etunicatum............ 9 propagules/gm
Glomus clarum..................... 9 propagules/gm
Glomus claroidium.............. 9 propagules/gm
Glomus mosseae.................. 9 propagules/gm
Gigaspora albida................... 9 propagules/gm

See Microban for clarification on these spores. The main one for annuals is Glomus intraradices - that much I do know.

My knowledge base is limited it would appear. I'm still struggling with the 'Nitrogen in veg & Phosphorus in flower' protocols

I wonder this myself. It gets said virtually everywhere but I cannot replicate it. I have fucked around with P anywhere from 24 ppm to 120 ppm in flower and never seen a difference.

I would think it would be totally counterproductive in a living soil since it would potentially kill the living part.

Does anyone have a citation for these things...with a well designed experiment?

You also hear K is good for fruiting plants during flower. I am fookin around with that one now.

I had been using extreme gardening Mykos which is pure Glomus Intraradices, I felt it had it's benefits. I've since switched to Capulators Beneficials nute pack which adds several more species & some bacterias.

I was also using extreme gardening Azos to clone in (soak the rapid rooters in a 2:1 ratio to water) Worked better than w/out soaking them & a mass of roots would burst through several days later, but CC's aloe/fulvic/protekt works even better and more consistently :D So I've been sticking with that....

When i increased K in my soil mix (higher kelp amounts and introduced langbeinite) I noticed increased vigor, stem strength and size, and in general "meatier" plants, if that makes sense (?)

The Glomus Intraradices spores are produced by Premier Horticulture Labs (part of the Premier Horticulture company - Pro-Mix). They then sell these spores to companies like Mycos (nee Mycorrhizal Applications in Grants Pass, Oregon)

They in turn add other commercial spores and slew of ecto strains, some Trichoderma spores. That specific product was originally marketed to the horticulture industries in California and Oregon.

Since that didn't pan out, Mycos sells their packaged products to Aurora Innovations (Roots), Advanced Nutrients, etc. in master packs which work out to be $8.00 per lb. The price in single pounds at one organic farm store sells this product for $11.00 per lb.

However, by the time Advanced Nutrients drops this stuff into one of their packaging the price races up to $180.00 per lb. (before the obligatory 'good dude discount' of course).

Other names the Myco products are sold under include White Shark, et al.

Caveat emptor and all of that but I would also recommend wearing stainless-steel briefs when talking to a grow store clown about 'beneficial microbes' - scam doesn't even begin to describe what's going on.

^^^^^ exactly, it's a flippin' joke, great white my ass

What are your guys feelings in general about bacterial/fungul innoculants?

overkill? unnecessary? etc etc. Most of it's already in the soil etc. etc. Seen plenty of awesome organic grows (cannabis and veggies/herbs) before direct bacterial/fungal innoculating ever came to be...

What about caps bennies in particular? For example 5 billion spore count per gram vs. 230,000 in mykos, a far far 2nd place....(glomus intraradices)

Here's what I know and it isn't much.....

When Dr. Mike Amaranthus (Mycorrhizal Applications) first introduced his endo-ecto-trichoderma mix to the horticulture industry it was a disaster. What he either didn't know or factor in was the levels of Phosphoric acid that is used in commercial horticulture.

This acid doesn't play well with the endo spores - I don't know about the ecto spores. Dr. Mike hooked up with the USDA ARS (Agriculture Research Station) at OSU and a several-year group of studies were conducted and as things turned out it seems that it's not only Phosphric acid but even high levels of Phosphorus (elemental).

Again - see Microbeman for a more complete analysis.
