And the 200x product is cheaper than the 100x product I have found by 33.00 per lb.

Thanks for that tip

aloe grows in my backyard, it makes sourcing a breeze. and my immersion blender blade hacked to fit into a power drill makes short work of the fillets... or just about anything too chunky for that matter.

Coba I have used the plant before for cloning but am switching to the spray dried for folair applications.

V, I can totally see how the goop from the fillets could be used for rooting cuttings, mix some in some willow... you've got homemade organic clone gel.

I bet the freeze dried aloe keeps longer, and as far as application ratios and exact measurements it's probably better for less overage.

Is my ratio correct.....1 gram will mix 1 gallon of aloe vera juice? So if I have 1 oz of product I can make 28 gallons of liquid solution?

Did I get that correct?

Von, 1 gram of the 200x will make 200ml of pure aloe juice. If you're using 2oz or 60ml of pure aloe per gal of water that gives you aprox 3.5 gal of diluted aloe water per 1gram.

When I measure 1 gram of this its about 1 level teaspoon, I make it easy on myself and use 1 tsp (gram) per 4 gal water, ready to apply.

Coba, I've always wanted to take the extra step and also have a fresh cut aloe leaf when I'm taking cuttings, and rub the shaft of the cutting along the inside of the gooey leaf right before its inserted into the plug.

The closest I can get to fresh aloe vera are the fillets sold at Mexican food markets complete with a UPC sticker! LOL

It's too cold to grow here successfully or at all in some areas

fuck that is cheap the cheapest I found it for was 10 grams £16 delivered (this is what i bought as 2 liters of aloe will last a while...)

100g is £70.68 delivered

when I run out and buy more I might just order it from america or where ever, postage wont outweigh the price of it over here

So no one ever said I shouldn't use the huma-iron in my soil mix. Ill take that as its not bad but possibly won't have much effect being as iron isn't a largely used nute by canabis. I just thought it would help the soil structure since it is a humate\rock dust?
Any thoughts on this??

Mandala Satori

The 2 plants I had were the last from the original pack so I thought I'd let 'em go at it. I also just cracked 4 Satori seeds I made a couple years ago.

does anyone know

Protein meals are basically N, S and those carbon chains...right? Does anyone know if they are viable sources of S in a soil?

My pump broke on my cloner I have decided to take it out of my room and go back to primitive ways. I used to use cubes to clone but I would like to try a more grow store free approach. I've heard you guys discussing cloning using aloe and a mix of ewc and peat? I typically use a 50/50 mix perlite/pumice and peat with a little bit of ewc in the mix for popping beans. Would something like that work for clones??

CC, Gas, anyone care to share their method? I've never put a cut straight into dirt before without a plug.

Keep on truckin.......

i use peat pucks for rooting cuts.. but anything that has great drainage and plenty of air spaces will work. i just put them in a propagator/dome with a tiny bit of ventilation and mist them twice a day. as long as you keep the temps stable in the seventies you should see roots pretty quickly. i use a very small cab (with passive ventilation) with a domestic CFL bulb - which provides both the light and the heat. i change the wattage of the bulb to regulate the temp . from 9W to 23W at different times of the year.

half size seed tray and dome, i tape up all the holes in the seed tray except the 4 in the corners, and then leave the vent in the top open a crack.
what you need to do is find a way that works for you in your conditions. how much to trim the leaves etc will vary. note the aquarium thermometer inside.
