Would this have any benefits if sprayed instead of applied to the root zone?? And it looks like I have to get my hands on some Barley now! Good I was starting to get bored with everything working out lol.

Anyways how the hell ya been?

HaGGarD:thank you:

What's up?

I've used the coconut water and the enzyme teas on the soil so I don't have any information in that regard.

These are some of specific enzymes we get from sprouted seeds (amylase, arylsulphatase, β-glucosidase, cellulase, chitinase, dehydrogenase, phosphatase, protease, and urease) - I can't see what benefit or even reaction they would create on the surface of leaves & branches.

Veganically speaking that is.....

Good to know! I think I will try it on some of these harder to clone ladies.

Ugh, I almost slapped one of his followers when I was picking up some new bulbs the other day, luckily the local Hydro guy is very open to Organics and is starting to carry Coast of Maine for me!

What is the price for CoM compost? Have you tried any of their potting soils?

$9/cf with taxes.

Not yet, but I plan on trying everything from their line, be it for cannabis for not.

Not more in ground garden anymore, moved to a top floor apartment but at least I have a huge wrap porch, going to put those 18gal Smarties to the test!

Been wicking my Smarties using trays of Perlite and growth is ten fold, I picture that's how your Blunt Mats are.

Let me re-state that.

Yes I have lol

Penobscot Blend

When I used it I thought it was strictly compost, explains my heavy soil. But none the less I was amazed by it, Jerry uses the same blend as well.

It was mixed with the Lobster Compost and EWC to form my final mix, not sure if they lime for the peat moss though.

Those look like some real nice rejects there BJW!

Thanks dude, 2 years and over 100 different plants later, it feels good to toss aside plants I would have kept at the beginning of this current adventure. :)

Anyone have any input / opinion on live earth products?

A local AG supplier carries them, they have some humic acid products, wondering if their comparible to the BioAg stuff.

Interested in this one wondering if it's comparable to the BioAg TM-7

They have the same 7 micronutrients to work with, the base is where the products differ. TM7 base is their humic acid (very high quality), makes for an excellent delivery of the micros plus the multitude of other benefits humic acid provides.

Crop thruster (that name is SO sexual!) uses a base of Hydrolyzed vegetable protein which is odd because its typically used as a food flavor enhancer - you won't like how its processed:

When simple high-protein plants such as grains, legumes, soy and corn are broken down into amino acids by boiling in hydrochloric acid and neutralizing with sodium hydroxide, the result is a liquid containing amino acids and glutamic acid, which is also more commonly known as monosodium glutamate, or MSG. Altogether the liquid is called hydrolyzed vegetable protein. Sometimes a food label will list it according to source, like hydrolyzed soy protein or hydrolyzed wheat protein

Oddly enough there was a recall on HVP due to E. coli, salmonella so I'm wondering if that didn't lead the manufacturers to seek out a new customer base - enter the ag industry.....

I wouldn't switch away from my TM7.

But it is Veganic ;)

I'm sure you could grow beautiful plants with any of their potting soils. Their Lobster & Kelp Plant Food mix looks particularly nice amendment mix.

Good line of gardening products with fair prices

BJW - Good looking out there! That shit sounds mildly horrifying lol. The sales guy at a local AG place pushes that Live Earth Stuff real hard. I told him about my clay soil amendment project I've got going on and he suggested something or other. I think I'll stick with cover crops, compost, and mulch!

CC -

Was looking at freeze dried coconut powder products and came across this

What do you think about this product, and the following claim compared to actual sprouted barley?

Activated barley is processed to the point just before the seed sprouts to cultivate all the natural power and potent nutrients used in the grain growing process

Containing 1,000s of active enzymes

Aloe powder, coconut powder, barley powder... Hhhmmm.....

Read the description - it's just Barley malt as it's done for bread baking, wine making, etc. - diastatic malt available at any home brew store. Ask for the Barley malt with the highest enzymes that they carry and they'll have about a half-dozen to choose from for far less money than $20.00 a pound. From a wholesale bakery supply company like Bake Mark, diastatic malt is $15.00 for 10 lbs.

MileHighGuy found this organic 200XX Aloe vera freeze-dried powder. It is the best aloe vera powder that I've used and the same price as the spray-dried powder from Mexico that i used in the past. Buying this powder drops the price on your Aloe vera extract from $25.00 a gallon (Lily of The Desert) down to $6.25 per gallon - 75% less.

The last one to verify is the freeze-dried green coconut water. The price for a kilo was around $90.00 and I don't have absolute mixing numbers yet, I'm sure that will be included in the documentation that they provide. This is a lab supply company and not a 'nute' company so they should have everything included on how to use it.

I know what you're thinking and it's a great idea which could be a viable mail-order business.

Isn't that a great product? Instant & total solubility, no residue whatsoever and you're not concerned about any preservative causing problems or set-backs.

Just for the benefit using aloe vera when you're cloning makes it a 'mission critical' addition. The roots from plugs, cubes, 20 oz. beer cups with SPM & EWC, whatever are massive and strong. You've got 3 rooting compounds with this.

None of the 3 or 4 'roots' sticking out of a RapidRooter - more like 40+ roots. The same benefit applies when you water a clone with aloe vera when you plant them into soil. No delays, nothing to worry about - just new growth by the next morning.

Not bad for $6.25 a gallon...

I went straght from using aloe plants, fuck it was messy and hard to get to fully mix in... to the 200x organic powder is so much better! no mess and easyer to store

Is my ratio correct.....1 gram will mix 1 gallon of aloe vera juice? So if I have 1 oz of product I can make 28 gallons of liquid solution?

Did I get that correct?
