Yep - $16.50 list price

I really like this compost. I'd forgotten how much so since I first used it in the post-Marwest nightmare.

Should be just as good as old Marwest eh...ever since that turned to shit I've been doing Megaworm and Oly Mountain.
Megaworm is pure EWC's....I feel it's a good product, simply because I've not seen a better commercially available EWC product around anywhere expect Portland.

Here's a better suggestion than my previous one - go figure, eh?

2x Empire Builder
1x Malibu Biodynamic
1x Aeration material - Pumice, lava rock, rice hulls and even Perlite

For just starting out you might want to consider this mix. With the usual amendments you will have healthy and vigorous plants.

When greed meets up with sheer and total laziness in the pursuit of convenience you have a viable customer base.

Over 68,000 MMJ cardholders in Oregon so there's big potential here from selling water with traces of 'something' in there - real or imagined.

My absolute favorite hydro industry marketing trick...don't list something on the bottle (cause it ain't in there) but then have an expert come on the forums and claimit contains this enzyme, tria, aminos, whatever the fuck else buzz words they can remember.

An outright insult to a person of avg intelligence.

Yes I know I'm all over the place I'm even losing track of feed stores I've called and calling the same place with the same questions and these people are getting mad haha would the empire builder be worthy to add to a soil mix?

This won't be the first organic mix Ive made but the first ill be putting to use indoors then eventually outdoors come the right time.

I was first introduced to organics by finding out about subcools supersoil, I put together this mix a while ago then I started reading stuff here and other organic forums, I now have 3 garbage cans full of this mix just sitting in my backyard..

This round I want to make the perfect ideal soil not too hot not too cold and good to go into no till raised beds outdoors after used indoors..

Back to hard water for a moment, does anyone see a problem running RO water instead of hard well water? If I'm looking to do no-till, over time I'm gonna get buildup in the soil. Also in my blumat drippers. I noticed this afternoon that some drippers are clogging a bit due to Ca, Mg and Fe.

Bigger pain in the ass, since I'd need a reservoir and pump, but might be better.

Gascanastan, CC, MM and all other ROLS madmen

This will be my first try at ROLS. I live hours from anywhere that sells organic soil amendments in any bulk and I will be traveling to one of these locations this week. It is a store called Peaceful Valley, in Grass Valley CA. http://www.groworganic.com/ I plan on using 18-20 gal smartpots under 1000w lights. I started a wormbin and compost tumbler 2 months ago but I dont think that suitable finished product will be ready for some time now. Any help you guys could give me with planning my upcoming purchase and soil build would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help and an incredible thread.

Rrog - I run no tills and switched from RO water to tap which is 284ppm, at least 70% mountain well water, probably 100% mid winter to mid summer at least.

Anyways, I couldn't be happier :). No more trying to fit extra minerals in the soil and fucking shit up. LOL. I couldn't speak to the clogging though, I hand water everything.

How many gallons of vermicompost would you need to source?

I always seem to need about 2 bags to last 2 to 3 cycles. 3 to 4 cubic feet. I use it for everything that's why I need it all the time....transplanting,seedling mixes, topdressing,ACT,etc, etc.

Durban x BMR got her name in the scene..but do not fret my friend I have more names to come up with...but first you'll have to sample the goods for the names to come...or not.

No name on BO x CB yet...or TO x Burmese/CB...or TO x SC99....BO x NLH.....and honestly I would be honored if you tag a title to these types.

Obviously these test results are wrong eh Coot...it's more around 18% total in reality....the older test was 17%...hmmmm tests tests.......the guys who need to move this or that before this and that and the lubrication to make it happen provided by Benjamin Franklin into the pocket is proly more like it.

I could make that exact mix right now, except that Alaska peat is $20 no matter where I go around here, the Malibu is $20 less than 10 miles from Malibu lol but the lava rock is 3.50 haha. I might take the drive across the canyon to Malibu and get it directly from them.

I use rice hulls and just sourced $9 50# bags at the farm store in lieu of the $30 bags from the home brew store. Here's the catch

$9 rice hulls is "high quality" horse bedding
$37 food grade rice hulls

They didn't have the food grade in stock, I'm assuming the only difference should be that the food grade hulls have been rinsed and screened for gravel so there's no dust or sticks n stones.....

BlueJayWay

Here's what I came up with for local MMJ growers.....

Alaska Peat - 2.2 c.f. bale (pony bale) - $9.00
Malibu Biodynamic Compost - 1 c.f. - $16.50
Lava Rock (DIY store) 1 c.f. - $5.00

Less than $31.00 for about 4.5 c.f. of legitimate potting soil base. Toss in some rock dust, neem & kelp meal and you're pretty close to a 'water only' soil mix.

Using an ACT will bring things up to speed quickly. Some alfalfa & kelp meal teas a few times through the cycle and most gardeners, especially new ones, will have zero problems as far as lock-outs, deficiencies, etc. They will have healthy plants for a change.

BTW - it'll never sell. Too easy because without creating a nightmare how could one expect to arrive at Dank Dumb?
