Lineage of ChemDawg known?

:yeahthats i agree, theres no reason to be so critical of something you've had no experience with. its just pot and thats just how the story has been told by the people who it came from.

i've always heard it was 12 seeds, 2 germed in '91, 2 more in the mid-90s, 4 in '00 (phenos a, b, c, & d), and the 4 popped by joebrand in '06.

JDOG that ChemDawg get together looks nice, you will be enjoying a lot of top notch shit. Mawi-wowie, not sure why you are so up in arms against the "seeds found it a pound of pot" story, but just because someone said 16 seeds instaed of 12 doesnt change the fact that the ChemDawg still came from a bagseed. Yes I will say it here and anywhere else," MAYBE I WAS WRONG ON THE SEED NUMBER MAYBE IT WAS 12 NOT 16." I have read almost every bit of info I can find on the ChemDawg and I smoke 1/2OZ+ of top shelf smoke everyday for the last 15 years for med reasons, so maybe I did my math wrong cause I'm a stoner and space a little bit sometimes, but for you to say it cant be as good as what everyone say, well unless you have tried it then maybe you should wait until you pass judgement cause it is really THAT DAM GOOD.

whether it was 12 beans or 16, no big deal... i was busting balls... if i offended i apologize..

and until i get my hands on some chemdawg (which will probably be never), i'll refrain from making any critical comments

peace and love :joint:

Am I the only one who remembers or at least maybe actually believed some story about it being called chemdawg because of it's ability to take in nutes like crazy? Honestly, I don't grow it, so I have no idea..but how is she on feeding? Personally, I've read the story a million times, and honestly think there are WAY too many versions. I also think that because it doesn't seem like anyone from the PNW recalls the name "chemdawg", that maybe it wasn't called that. Much like the east coast knows "diesel" instead of "dawg". One thing I know for sure is that it's from this planet, and I trust all of you guys on how the high/taste, etc is..but I do believe that there are plenty of good sativas out there that are just as good. Maybe not grown nearly as much due to space restrictions.

Edit: Ok..I know it's a stretch to compare the chemdawg to a pure sativa in the type/strength of the high...but I think you understand what I'm getting at.

a few peeps out there seem to think they know the lineage of this strain...maybe they have experience with both strains so to them it seems obvious, but to most i believe it still it is still very much a mystery...

maybe we all can get down to the bottom of this mystery together...who knows, maybe even discover the actual breeder...so anyone got any wood for the fire?

ChemDawg = HashPlant #1 hybrid...think about it. :chin:

Looks ta be a Sativa/HP hybrid ta me...HP#1, supposedly, comes from tha PNW...if I'm not mistaken.

IGT :sasmokin:

P.S. Does anyone remember what Reeferman originally was given King & Pink Kush labeled as???

I heard Andy Gibb took his cut of the disco kush to Canada and made an ibl with Island sweet skunk, around the 5th or 6th generation his crop was ripped and sold at the american boarder eventually making its was to Co.

says something about the 'essence like bubba kush' which i thought interesting....

I met a grower back in 92 or so that introduced me to this world. He grew perpetual harvest style and had been growing since the early 80's. He had bought all his stock from the super sativa club or something like that. Also he loved the old sensi seeds stock.

This stuff he grew was sooo strong. The high had made many of my friends freak out or lose control. If i had a quarter ounce in my pocket it would smell up the room within minutes! I remember some strains and crosses he made had NL#5, G13, Hash plant, skunk and others in them.

Anyway my point is i think there were some strong genetics being sold if you knew where to buy them back then. The only flaw with his was sometimes they would hermie a little so there was always atleast a few seed in the bag. I know some of his stuff got out to people at concerts and to the lucky few that knew him personally so even that stuff could still be floating around if the seeds got into the right hands. I always thought he could be behind the MSS because thats where he was from originally.

i've done HP#1 from DHK and I can say it was not a keeper for me, so I bred the Double Dawg to her and let her go. it's a small, slow growing plant that grew very dark, fat fan leaves. A little leafy but produced dense nuggets that had a rough Afghani like taste and a strong high but nothing like the Dawg. A very low yielder. But a true Hash plant.

Break them out. This is cross is really untested, althou I ran it once and it produced a plant that was bigger than the HP1, with tight nugs with a Diesel smell and a strong smoke and i never made a clone of it.
