yeah, no problem. I definitely was successful on the pollination of both of these girls, so that may skew true results vs. size they would have been. I mean, both of them stand in at a gigantic 8 inches tall....
Things are looking well here.
Can I ask how deep your pots are? and what volume are they?
I ask because in my experience the depth of the pot seems to matter, I grow auto's in Approximately 2 gallon pots, I say approx because they are made from two, 1 gallon water bottles cut and taped together. Anyway the result is a pot that only has a 5 1/2"" square base meaning you can really pack them in to a small area. Back to the point the pots end up being about 18"" tall and the plants seem to like them the first 6 I grew were between 8 and 12 inches after I switched the pots I only saw one under a foot and I think that was my fault.
thanks for the tips, man. They are in 1 gal pots planted tiered, probably 10 inches tall total. I really think they are so short because of the pollination, and because it was done so early (day 25). of course, I could be totally wrong. the last run I did of these all were 12-18 inches, done in the same method, but not pollinated.
But, ironically, I did order up some 2 and 3 gallon grow bags a few days ago.
You might be 100% correct though. I don't really have enough evidence to be sure if I'm right, just sharing an observation. nice work with those palnts.
Yeah, I was worried about giving the seeds enough time to mature (my first attempt at seed making), plus I really have no where I can keep a daddy right now...Thanks for the positive remarks.
small update, it appears that I pushed the PS a little too hard. Fed on Saturday, checked on her last night to find some burn and/or calcium lockout (small, rusty colored dots near tips and edges). The Jem seemed fine, but to err on the side of caution, I flushed both of them out.Saturday's feeding was the last "sceduled feeding" (if you recall, I went one extra week beyond the FD method explained on page one...I also did some pushing of my own with a 10-52-10 booster weeks 4-6). Anyhow, from here on out, they will get 1 tsp molasses/gallon for two weeks, then clear until finish. I am guessing 3-4 weeks remain on both of these.
And on to the other girls in the box....2 Sour 60 x Snowryder and 1 more PS...I tried a bit of LST on all three of these girls, to open up some of that lower bud formation. One of the SourSnow girls has a heavy snowryder leaning (I think), single cola type plant and honestly not the best choice for LST. The other, however, is a branchy little girl and seems to be doing well with the opened canopy. The PS that received the LST is also doing well, and if my guesses are right, she's gonna be one big horizontal bud. Only time will tell.
I'll get some photos up, in the next day or so.
Sounds interesting mate, And you have to push sometimes to find the limit.
Better to burn them a little in mid-late flower than to stunt them early on somehow.
