light cycle interruption imminent...question

I need to turn everything off tomorrow and interrupt the light cycle for an undetermined time frame (could be one hour, could be 8 hours). In the box right now are 4 Pink Salad f2's and 4 Crazy X Gems, all at 7 days above soil (10 days from start). The light cycle is 18/6, so at worst, the little ones will get 10 hours of day. My question is, are there any effects that might come up from this (positive or negative)? I have had light interruptions with regulars before; never with autos and never this early on, so just wondering if I just forced a roomfull of males or otherwise messed with their internal clocks.
Thanks

Nah... you'll be fine.

As long as they get 12hrs of night... you won't be messing with them. :)
Even if they do, a week or so of 24/7 will put em back.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

I wouldn't worry mate, it might not be ideal, but trust me i've faffed around in similar ways many many times and haven't noticed anything severely detrimental.. like an all male trend.

kind of what I thought, but , I've never had to deal with an interruption with autos before. They're typically done with a "set it and forget it" mind frame with the lights.

I've messed with schedules, changed ballasts, sat through power cuts, and just forgot to close the door of my room none of that has caused any noticeable delay or problem that was while growing 5 separate strains continuously over a year.
All I can conclude from my experience is that auto's aren't that sensitive to light schedule.
This is off topic but not worth starting a thread over. Does anyone know why the buyers guide thread was locked?

so, I just said fuck it and left everything up and running, instead of shutting down. My paranoid brain sometimes gets the best of me I guess.

its much much worse to interrupt the dark cycle than the light cycle which does very little unless it is a repeated messing about..

paranoia does make us think some silly things, keeps us in check sometimes tho :smokeit:

It wasn't so much as needing to change the schedule as needing to not draw attention...Had my roof replaced, and my landlord was stopping by to discuss some of the work with the contractor (I have lived here for 7 years, and in that time I have seen my landlord 4 times including this recent one). Once I saw the guys unroll the giant tarps and cover my basement doors to catch the shingles, I knew there was no way the landlord would be heading down there and knew I was okay.

I guess I will turn this into my grow diary for this run.....so here goes.....(on a side note, is there anyway I can change the title of the thread?)
Today is day 11. confirmed 2 Jems to be male this morning, the other 5 are not showing sex yet, but I have a good hunch one of the Pink Salads will also show male in the next 1-2 days. The plants are in a micro rubbermaid setup, under 270 watts CFL, and maintaining a lights on temp of 83, nighttime of 75-77. Seeds were started in 16 oz cups in straight ProMix, then tiered at day 6 into 1 gallon pots (at day 6, the taproot in all cups was showing in the bottom of the cups, so it was time for me to tier up). The mix for those pots is 7 parts Promix, 1.5 parts vermiculite, and 1.5 parts EWC.
I am doing a couple things on this run that I have not done before. Both changes are from the "Full Duplex" method as found on a different forum dedicated to autos. One, I am oxygenating the water (probably should have been doing this for years, tbh) using a small air stone, bubbling for 24 hours, then ph to 6.3. My second change is starting an earlier (and more diluted) fert schedule, using fox farm trio (typically, I follow their feed schedule starting at sex). The FD feed schedule is listed below.
Week
1 pH water only

1.5 add in Big Bloom to the mix at 1/2 tea spoon

2 1/2tsp Grow Big 1/2 tsp Big Bloom

2.5 3/4 tsp of grow big

3 1tsp grow big and 1/2 Tiger bloom 1/2 tea spoon Big Bloom

3.5 1/2 tsp Grow Big 1/2tsp Tiger bloom

4 1tsp Tiger bloom 1/2 tsp Grow Big

4.5 Clean pH'ed water to clear out salt build up

5 2tsp tiger bloom 1/2 grow big

5.5 1 Teaspoon Grow Big

6 Begin Flush for the final weeks.

I will probably feed up to week 7 however. I will also get some photos up and keep this updated as the grow goes along.

Update, today is day 15, wound up with 1 female Pink Salad and 1 Gem...Of the 3 PS males, one had very strong blueberry expression/mutation, but decided not to keep it. Instead I went with a different PS male to keep to make some seeds with the two ladies (only hoping for a few seeds). I discarded all the other males, leaving a bit of space in the box. So I started my last two PS seeds, and 4 server fund Sour Snow (by Smokey the Bear, a cross of Sour 60 and Snowrider). The PS seeds, as always, threw tails within 24 hours from start. Only one of the SS have cracked open so far, but I only started them two days ago.

Update:
My final two PS seeds have their first set of baby leaves coming through, as well as 2 Sour Snow. The other two SS cracked yesterday, and were put into 16 oz cups. Total in the box right now:
1 PS Female
1Gem Female
1 PS Male (will be used to pollinate the above two plants)
2 PS Unsexed (planted direct into tiered pots-the upper tier 16 oz cup contains Promix only, the lower 1 gallon pot with my mix.
2 Sour Snow Unsexed (planted into tiered pots as above)
2 Sour Snow Unsexed (planted into 16 oz cups)
The Sour Snow's are being run as a side by side experiment to see how effective pre-tiered pots work. Like I said, the upper portion is my seedling starter, straight Promix with no additives, the lower portion is my mix as listed above. With so much emphasis put on not feeding too early and not disturbing the root mass in transplant, I wanted to see if I could accomplish two goals in one pot. The SS in 16 oz cups will go until about day 7 before I put into tiers as well. I pre cut the bottom off of one cup, then placed that into an uncut cup. I did this to hopefully ease the tiering process, to hopefully just pull one cup out of the other and drop in the dirt with minimal disturbance.
The two confirmed females are doing well, The PS the purple pheno while the Gem is looking to be either green or pink pheno, I think it is a little too early to say. The PS male
is green, no coloration on the balls, and smells of sour apples.
Update in a couple days.

Bigger sizes are in my albums, if you would like to see. And before anyone asks, the white dots you see on some leaves is DE.

This Jem has been a bit of a stresser for me, the leaves sawtooth at the top, and the larger ones droop, as you can see, but nothing else in the box shows these signs.
