To me, it makes no sense to put forth months of time and effort maintaining perfect plant health only to purposely cause the plant to go deficient at the most important time; harvest. Learn to feed properly and you can skip the 'flush'.

This is a better pic and the flush had been under way for about 10 days.I like to go at least 10 days depending on how fast they yellow out.

also lets enough with the bickering. he didn't ask for pictures of a certain kind. he asked for pictures of what YOUR plant looks like right before harvest. some people harvest with deep green leaves, some people harvest with used up shitty looking leaves. whatever. just post your pictures. and like someone said, if you ain't got nothing nice to say. take it to PM.

The smell is like a deep burgundy wine.I call it red wine and skunk, its got a heavy smell much like a Killing Fields, like it had Jack herer in the blood.maybe The Purple bastard used Jack as a parent maybe??Not sure which plant was the mom or the dad.The sisters finished earlier and heavy on the dankness...heres a pic of one of those, harvested...
I have had greener plants but nothing dark green at harvest.. If your give them enough plain water min 2 weeks(not a flush) the plants should be OK. I think all of the nutrients are gone buy that time. Dark green plants will have allot of N you dont want to smoke that. at least feed them plain water for 2 weeks before you harvest...

I've learned an endless amount of info regarding flushing plants and the quality of the smoke after.It was mostly Crazy Composer with his white ashes.I always flushed for about 5-6 days but now I flush more and between that and the use of silicone I have better burning pot, my joints canoe less and burn more evenly.When I smoke a bowl and there's a black chunk of weed at the end I know it wasn't flushed enough.I never thought it mattered so much until i saw the results right here on ICMAG! The plants do freak out a bit when flushing, they'll foxtail more, shoot out new flowers in odd places but that what scissors are for I guess.My gardens are doing so well I'm rambling all over these days...
