BROWN- looks as if you got too much nitrogen. Have u used nutes ? what kind and how much ?

my cause was calcium / magnesium def, do to r/o water. also had the start of root slime as my ag pump runs 24/7. I also sprayed/misted the leaves while the lights were on:yoinks: Used some cal-a-mag and hydrozome and also got my other gh nutes aquared away. I addition to all that i moved my girls out of the aerogarden into their buckets and installed a chiller my temps were around 78 and there is hardly any do in that temp h20 so now i am around 65-68. this is a must for all hydro applications.

Hey guys I am in my 8th week of flowering. I am letting them go for around 9 weeks. I have some sensi star and platinum kush. All of them have severe powdery mildew. Is there anything I can do to stop the rampage of the mildew?

i am not that fimular with canna & b i would assume you need to lower nitrogen. look at teh 3 # xx-xx-xx (N-P-K) rating and if canna a has the higher first # cut ur solution from 100% to 60% and see if the new growth comes in normal in a wk or to. since u got a tds or ppm meter i would venture to say 300ppm for seedling/cutting to first 2 nodes. i am not a pro but just my opinion.

Your watering everyother day, is it dry between waterings? What size pots? Sounds like your not letting them dry you may have root rot starting.

Hmmmmm.... I suppose it could be root rot starting.. hopefully not.

I'm using 9 inch diameter (2 gallon?) pots. I do put my finger down in the soil a couple inches to make sure its dry before watering. Usually watering every 2nd day, as in two days between waterings (bascially I water as needed when it feels dry).

3 weeks ago we had them in a closet under a 200W Fluroescent and the temperatures were 84-86 F when the light was on. Now that we've got a room built with an air cooled hood on a 1000W temps are much lower as mentioned above. Could the temp fluctuation have something to do with it?

There is tons of new growth on the plants... could the yellow coloration simply be a substantial amount of new growth?

Also to note: plant tops are about 18 inches from the sealed, air cooled hood. Could they be too close?

As they finish flowering some leaves naturally wither and die, the plant thinks winter is coming. It's better to judge when to water by the weight of the pots. Lift them and get to know how they feel wet and dry, that way is faster and more accurate. I have noticed closer they get to finish the less water they need. Watering properly is the biggest challenge to growing

LC’s Soiless Mix #1:
5 parts Canadian Spaghnam Peat or Coir or Pro-Moss
3 parts perlite
2 parts wormcastings or mushroom compost or home made compost
Powdered (NOT PELLETIZED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.

Is the fan blowing directly at plants? no
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? no it almost drys out before watering
Is your water HARD or SOFT? dont know
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? tap left out for at least 24 hours
If using tap water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS of the water right out of the tap?(Only if you have a tds pen) don't know
If using RO,Distilled, mineral water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS without any additives?(Only if you have a tds pen)

Thanks a lot for any advice!

Sick AK47 2 month veg, 2 weeks into flowering.
Vegged under a 400W Ceramic Metal Halide, Flowering under a 400W HPS.
Happy Frog Soil in 5 gal containers, in soil for complete grow
Given 3ml Cal-Mag/5ml Liquid Karma per gal. once a week ago, but problem had just shown 2 days before the nutes. Until then I use rain water only.
Day temps are in low 80s, night temps in 60s. Fan ciirculating air, passive intake. Plants were topped once when they were about 4 weeks old.

Problem is about 6 days old, larger fan leaves at mid plant are starting to get rust speckling, then drying up and dying. Very lowest leaves are getting slightly yellow and dying. (Thought the yellowing was mainly lack of light to base of the plant, could my soil be out of nutes?!) Pictures below, not the best under the HPS.

I topped the soil with about 3-4 inches of fresh Happy Frog w/ Peace of Mind Fruit and Flower mixed in fairly lightly.

Any help is appreciated, these are for a medical grow, trying to help a buddy out.

I must be medicated because I came in here looking for some "sick ass plants" and not just sick ones lol.

Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? No, but I'm planning some pruning of larfy growth and topping in about a week--please let me know if I should delay that
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? Yes, yesterday I applied a Rosemary Oil solution for mites. Earlier in the day, I was testing a clogged spray cap on a bottle of undiluted Neem and it got all over the place - a few fat drops got onto the leaves.
Are plant's infected with pest's? Definitely saw mites yesterday - Rosemary oil seems to have gotten rid of them, but I'm not willing to say it's clean for another two weeks or so.

Brown patches are appearing on the leaves throughout the plant - from looking at guides, it looks like it might(?) be a Phosphorus deficiency. What do you think?

If it is a P deficiency, can I expect the transfer to the Fox Farms Ocean Forest (w/ extra worm castings mixed in) to stabilize it, or is this likely mineral availability being locked out due to pH? (I guess I should pH test first?)

(PS - I originally posted this question at https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=192142 - I'll pull that down if it looks like this is a better place to discuss it)
