Well I certainly apologize if lysol was being sarcastic, but the post doesn't appear that way to me.
Why not just mail in the census form??? I got mine last week. If you send it in, they will not come to your house...

that's too easy
Did you receive the pre-form warning letter too?
They really don't want to send the census workers out to everyone. Lets not forget that one of them was founded hanged in Kentucky earlier this year with the word "Fed" scrawled on his chest.

It was initially reported that way, but it was later found he committed suicide and wrote the letters FED himself. Here is an article:

"Yes, under the constitution you are only required to enumerate yourself (name, address, age ). You DO NOT have to tell them your race, income, etc.. Why should they need that? So they can not put schools & hospitals in the black neighborhood?"
Yes Lysol, because as we all know, only black politicians gerrymander their districts.
I see that your view of politics is very "fair and balanced."
haha
If you mail it [the 50 question american survey] in they will have a 100 question form next year for ya.Why not just mail in the census form??? I got mine last week. If you send it in, they will not come to your house...

Like a few of the members have said before, the only information you are required to give to the census bureau is a head count of the dwellings occupants.
That's not really true. While the constitution doesn't specify the additional questions, subsequent legislation has. Laws have been passed which do require you to provide all of the information requested. It says so right on the envelope the form comes in.
As I said earlier, if you don't do so, nothing is really going to happen to you other than being pestered by census workers (probably only if you refuse to fill it out altogether). But legally you are required to answer all of the questions.
Every question on the census form (all 10 of them) are in support of legislation that has been passed. The census data is used to fund everything from school to allocating federal highway funds. If you don't answer all of the questions, feel free but you're screwing yourself out of funds to fix roads and bridges, or improve school.
