PS its all your fault i got buckets full of roots and crazy growth you were right RO was in my future that day i ran out and got a spectrapure ro filter my water went from 500ppm 8.5ph down to 0ppm 7ph and my plants blew up thanks man now i know exactly what theyre getting and using i hope to see my nugz like yours with my next grow i just popped some icecream and a NL so they will yield better then the autos im runnin now

Welcome everyone.
2009 is comming to an end and all my harvests are done. It has been a crazy year with lots of fun and excitement. I am really glad I found OverGrow I mean ICmag again. I have learned to so much and 2010 is going to be better because of it!
When I joined ICmag I had 4 x 750w in the Dungeon and 1 x 600w in the veg room. Now I only have 1Kw lights one for veg and four for each of the Dungeon and Upgrade Room. It is very hot and dry where I live so I can't run 9Kw all at once but I try to get my ladies as much light as possible
I'm very glad that other people have found this thread fun and useful. I really like seeing the 5 gallon DIY buckets because they still hold my record for yield. In fact the 4 PK that I threw into flower as a first run of the Upgrade Room came in at 49.5oz in 56 days using just 50 square feet.
Since joining ICmag I've had the opportunity to share PK with many people and the great news is that the plant is an amazing grower and smoker. I am very glad that super high quality Purple Kush is now growing in many more places than it was a few months ago.
There are lots of great breeders and growers here and many of you are my friend and have posted on this thread. I am glad to be even a small part of making this community a little higher I've got purple and crystally genitics for Killa and others to take a crack at and Purple Kush is so easy to grow that can keep her alive and learn this hobby.
LB I love your idea about hanging lights on my trees. Are there any red LED stringers I can buy and hook to a 120v timer? I don't think it is that easy yet, but one day I'll be able to wrap a 20' string of LEDs around each plant!
SSA: I am really in trouble with the hash now. I have misplaced (read to be found later stuck to something) my last piece of bubble hash from my run. I have 1.3grms of Sour D bubble hash and then I'm out! I can't believe the PITA that making 20 gal runs is, how are the 32gal bags going for you? Also this last Sour D run was done with wet leaves frozen and trim. I think I like dried to a desert crisp then frozen. What are your thoughts?
LB I am going to be customizing my rooms and this will be my last harvests out of the UCs. Your work is an inspiration showing how I can make improvements, thanks.
ResinKing, thanks for the very kind words. I agree with you about DG's skills. The amount of love his plants returned to him has made me rethink my dedication and get better in 2010!
2009 will end with me producing more MJ than I consumed, this will make six years for me now. I enjoy this production more than any work I have ever done in my life thank you all for helping me with it.

2010 will be a kushy year for me for sure,cant wait to make my own pk tree,i think it could be my first one pounder with enough patience and training,rubbermaid 25 gallon here we come!
I think Unc and his 25gal is one reason, but the main one is that the UC is not spaced out well for my rooms and I think a custom setup with bigger better spaced units will be better.

bigger root ball=bigger trunk=bigger yield,keep the roots happy and you get a happy plant,thats my philosophy in a nutshell,just takes longer in dirt is all
The UC system is easy piece of cake, but I was getting bigger yields off of my 5gal DIY buckets. The UC are great and will stay around but I will be re-upgrading my flower rooms to custom buckets. The UCs will be used for veg.

i remember telling you that you was doing better in the five gallon buckets..i hope you didnt spend to alot of money.you are a great grower i think you should do what you know best..it reminds me of the ebb n grow system i have that is good for nothing..all the hype on cool systems and they dont work well.

She is REALLY pissed about being in 750PPM under 1Kw on Super Lumen, but my philosophy is we are a team of strong kushes, we are weeds we will never die, we have a purpose to fulfill. Her roots are way too big to go back to the nursery so it is fight on, because as I said there is no die trying!

My buckets allowed for maximum flexibility in positioning the plants, but lacked the recirculation and O2 that the UC system has. The Purple Kush seemed to do just fine and your 6gal buckets will kick ass.
I think the UC system is a step up and the Dungeon kush run should be great, but there is just a lot of room left and light so I need to have a better laid out system. The UC is not made for 4' tall kushes that want to stretch to 6' in flower. I have to give the system a lot of props though because it has inspired my new design and a lot of other DIYs here on ICmag.

Wow. Bro you never cease to amaze me with the constant work to improve your production, most guys would give their left nut for a UC and you test it and move on LOL.
I must say you titled the thread very well as this place is in a constant state of upgrade, the japanese call it kaizen I believe. I am in shock, I was looking forward to seeing what you could do with them as I think you are the top UC user around here but I'm sure whatever you're planning will be even better than before.
Man I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve.
