I think you are delusional in more ways than one. You come in looking for battles when most of us don't give a shit, post lists of plants expecting people to get mad, when nobody cares, and saying legal weed is half the price, when its 2-5 times as much, one can go on and on... greedy fucks are the LPS, ya dingus
and you believe that?
what is he testing everything for?
and by everything..... how many plant specimens is he dealing with?
Whatever happened to good old fashioned selection criteria?
Soon people on the web will claim if you aren't testing "everything" you aren't breeding LOL
I have a pretty strict regimen I follow for selecting potential parents but the only "lab" work I do is with a loupe and microscope to count resin glands per square cm of leaf surface.
I do find the lab tests of cured flowers to be an interesting addition to the breeder's tool kit. I'd rather flower out potential mothers and have their finished product tested and look at the terpene and cannabinoid profiles but this is only feasible in small batch breeding or "craft" breeding.
Now if you are working in the labs of a medical cannabis research facilty , on the cutting edge of tailoring specific plants to target specific ailments..... yes.... test "everything" because that test equipment would be on hand. For an average Breeder selling seeds to the recreational market.... legal or not..... testing "everything" would cost so much the seed sales would never cover the cost.
I've bought in with a small group of Craft cannabis folks with like minds and attitudes. I will be co owner and head of the Micro Nursery.... pheno hunting, breeding, tissue culture storage ect. The other members of the group hold micro production license(s) and 2 licensed store fronts.
The idea , if the costs can be worked to realize a realistic profit …. and the powers that be don't phuck with our plans..... will be to offer seed sales and tissue culture clones thru the licensed storefronts or by internet sales.
All in it's toddler stages and the damn Virus is getting in the way due to so many tradesman being laid off. Hard to find electricians, plumbers, hvac guys in the interior right now so the site is shut down till that idiot leader of the criminal party decides to lift the stupid novel corona virus from Wuhan china restrictions LOL
I call Bullshit.I began working in a very successful LP in 2014, naively hoping I’d be part of a positive change for the cannabis community. I’ve been collecting top shelf genetics since the mid ‘80’s and they’re stored in a dedicated fridge; sealed with dessicant.
My seed collection became known to owners of a few LPs and I was approached by some very wealthy owners and offered shares in one of their hair-brained schemes so they could introduce my collected genetics into the legal realm through one of their micro cultivation Licenses.
Since there is a culture of these companies firing staff whom make any waves for them I chose to accept their offer, knowing they would not hold up their part of the deal after I relinquished my seed collection.
So, I handed over various packs of seeds. The seeds contained inside these packs were Sumoi hemp seed. These were given to me by Dana Larsen in the early ‘90’s.
It has been my hope that those greedy slime balls waste their time and fortunes growing those seeds out and eventually destroy the legal industry as we currently know it.
Power to the boutique Cannabis cultivators.
M’kay. (Did) Believe whatever makes you happy
I wasn’t saying my hopes had come to fruition (yet) and the people that might put those seeds into the Cannabis Regulations stream could very well stall completely. In that case the hemp seeds will rot in somebody’s fridge forever.
I’m content with my efforts regardless.
