Yes but way more legs on HR
I was offered ogkb back when yesprop was getting it out
It was not a desirable plant imvho no matter how dank the nugs were/are
Same w/forum wasnt worth it imvho but ran that because it had good qualities like does better in low light and stretches well
And the i95 didn’t pair extremely well I mean it did good but hybridization wasn’t what I was looking for w/gsc forum

In general, I agree with all of that, and am extremely thankful for that

In my own area though, I aspire to fuck around and find out

So far I haven't found anything that's incredibly potent like irene, tahoe, d, gmo, hiro4, even Corey for when i need to like, sit there for 1-2 hours doin exactly nothing except keeping my mouth open for the dentist, or need actual relief or sleep.

But

When I run modern cutting edge selections, or even sherb, I can see the traits that I want in my garden, because like.. chemdog and irene are still hard to grow for me. When I'm trying to push the envelope of cultivation, needy plants or picky plants demand so much more time or care, and more understanding of the specific mechanics, some which I've attempted to learn and explain here for others.

So sometimes, in my long term vision, not only do I aspire to fuck around and find out, but I want to find the best smoke and truly soup it up so anybody can run it. I've seen the drastic shift in modern selections, and the horrific results (looking at you, zoap. Bye, zoap, never come back to my house) but I've seen the amazing results that dudes like fletcher and mean gene, I guess those are the first two that came to mind, have made like Moonbow, piescream, oishii (not sure if i spelt that right, it's like hpk x moonbow / moonbow x moonbow)

So I definitely don't wanna settle for watered down results. I'm not such a huge fan of forum gsc itself for example, as I am with the results (GMO, Wedding Cake longterm progeny, sunset sherbet, apples & bananas, etc.)

But I definitely see that chimera 3, for example, while sounding like a lame Mashup (gg4 x pbb)f2 x 100 day plus foxtailing bagseed that I assume is a gelato derivative... domestic abuser fake rasta pal was dumping it at 10k for a reason. Bean counters want the best vigorous plants that give results, especially a guaranteed yield and RTH. I wasn't sure about the results, because reversing hype doesn't always mean it's worth shit, but... the mom typically really dominates more than chimera 3. That vigor, the hash returns, the robustness, I didn't wanna sleep on that combined with the powerhouse that i95 is.

Wow that was a long winded ramble.

Also a word of feedback on the rigid plastic domes

The fit is so tight and perfect it seems like adding the same amount of water to the bottom of the tray and leaving it sealed is a mistake. They don't leak so much moisture. So I got a lot of mold and whatnot.. man. Lesson learned

Since we're talking about irene

Pics from Dec 2023, shows the trait I'll mention in a sec

As I mentioned I was playing hardcore catch up. Then my dad passed. So please forgive the bugs, mess, as usual. I'm back to work on it :)
pics of irene fresh off the presses, then two irene traits to know you don't have a fugazi

She can be quite picky and slow to settle in. But if you get her in the zone she'll take care of ya it seems. Kinda like one of those game bars where you need to keep the target bar/circle/dot in the sweet spot that moves around on ya. Get in the red area and she'll throw a fit. Bubba on the other hand (likely her momma) just takes a smoko. "Back in 15, IM ON SMOKO"

20241102_175117.jpg

Forgive me, irene, for the bugs. Fleur de lis hook trait not a definite tell but it likes to pop up, that's how I got this fresh pic. Likes to grow in totem pole style also like bubba but very, uh, capricious about what node to grow I'd say. Tricky gal.

20241102_175711.jpg

20241102_175732.jpg

I looked all over and couldn't find a quality example of this trait, so I tore a stalk and leaf off together to show how they're not growing separately. Irene likes to grow nodes out of the leaf petiole, not always but if your irene doesn't do that... well.

Not sure if I said i picked up 2 clone trays and domes, not super quality but decent. Got rigid 3x3 plastic inserts in sets of 8, 2 sheets. 100 floraflex plugs, can't find those anymore I think. I commented on how the incubators were clutch and the nice lady working there mentioned the dips on the domes I bought are for holding light sticks. That's pretty cool actually, mine broke though.

Still catching up on watering and cleanup but I'm getting there. Just crushed a bunch of watering yesterday and gonna keep it going today so I can start proper cloning and cleanup.

12 cell mini domes should arrive tomorrow, let's give those a gander when i get them.

I mentioned this before but most of my legit cuts either came from @farmerjoe_420_backup (Instagram handle) via @PCC (my clone guy in canada, good fella, his Tahoe flower made my blood pressure drop so bad) or @trichome.orchards (breeder of highway robbery and so much more, like the 3 fems irene x apples & Bananas he sent me that I must must run)

From Joe and primos efforts I got d, irene, Matt berger bubba, a giesel that haunts me, tahoe, probably something else I forgot

From lost terpene (trichome orchards) I got AnB, strawberry gary, gmo, as24, gas basket, El chapo og, I can't remember what else right now. Well also zoap but like I said, fuck zoap brah send it back to wizard trees.

All good guys, just don't take em for granted

Also if anybody has any questions or needs something explained, please go ahead. I post and explain a lot so people can see my efforts and my mistakes and my solutions.

Edit: and of course some of this info like clone only or background details etc should be documented. Don't get a fake guys. There's lots of info out there. Shabud/csi bubba isn't Matt berger bubba, for an example of clone only documentation. Looking for the bubba csi uses to compare side by side.

Also, I will point out that I was cloning and trying to flower zoap and sherb at the same time. I was having serious feed and lockout issues which for sure contributed, but in the end, I felt like sherb proved herself and zoap did not. That doesn't mean zoap is horrible to everybody. Some people really like RS and zoap. But for me, as I mentioned, I'm running myself ragged sometimes taking care of these plants. True elites like chem d and irene absolutely pass the bar for needing that much care, especially when chem d is an incredible p1 to use.

Newer plants or progeny, though, they're not typically proven hybrid material, and especially with progeny, I'm not looking to keep the needy or finicky traits, truly. That means large scale hunts and rigor, to make sure I'm getting the best of both worlds (flower quality, growth quality.) It also means if I have sherb, wedding cake, and zoap, and they all perform to varying degrees, some stand out, some pass, and some just plain get dropped.

Sherb stands out. Wedding Cake passes, someone on discord mentioned 7% return and that makes sense, great hybrid material for when needed, since I don't have wedding crasher directly. Heh. But sherbs a beast where cake is more a runt, especially compared to AnB, as24, and GMO. GMO has 28 days left on the normal 12 week mark, and it's already towering over cake and looking at it like a big brother ready to bully a sibling. 35 days left til 13 weeks, fingers crossed it can finish out.

Zoap didn't clone and absolutely couldn't keep up in flower. Mostly my fault? True. But sometimes if a plant wants to drown. I'll just let it? Sink or swim in my garden yo.

Also, another reason I would continue growing cuts like forum gsc and wedding cake (don't have forum yet, cake looks pretty fucking spot on imo,) is because I'm learning a lot about their traits, looks, and what traits they passed to progeny like GMO, my mb bx with the wedding crasher in it, various cuts.

It's like learning each ingredient in a kitchen but also the recipes that led to amazing dishes or better ingredients. Part of my autism or human beings in general is excellent pattern recognition. The more I grow these plants, the more data and patterns I am able to absorb and recognize. GSC and progeny have a certain leaf structure and look, so does chem and og. Sour is its own cryptic pillar, like the Kaaba. Sherb looks like bubba is its long lost cousin, don't ask me to explain that. i95 x chimera 3 was like every chem, stardawg, ogk, and cookie profile popping out to say hi. Triangle, topanga/Hollywood, stardawg, chem 4, ogkb, ogk/cookie, gmogelato, I don't even know what the fuck. It's also why I'm collecting og cuts and running them out and trying to read the land where others trod before. My friend ran my faceoff ix pack after he bought it off me and sent me back pollen and f2s to sort through. If I get the cut, it would blow my mind open to seeing the range of fletchers work. Sometimes I get an idea, like, underdog or chem or tk crosses, and CSI has already beat me to the punch.

So it's like watching boxing tapes over and over, learning what worked and what didnt.

Goji margy #1, 2, 3,
Chemdog (D)
As24
Stardawg bx #2
Onycd 3.0 #2

All done. At least 2 or more.

Surviving Gary Payton cutting on the far left. Gonna spray it with sulfur and purecrop1 but I'm really hopeful it roots.

I like these trays, I might gladly order more. They are easier to optimize space with.

So first tray emptied except for Khalifa mints and onycd 3.0 #1, only a single one of each survived and rooted. Likely just transplant into 4 inch pots and take more clones of both.

Prepped my area to take clones. Been taking plants out of the normal veg (shelves against wall) and putting them with the flower plants to make space for all the proper cleaning and easy clone lighting/access. I'm going to be filling 3 full sized trays, possibly more, so I need to really stay on top of all of this. Gonna slowly start bottom watering any individual cultivar mini tray if they start drying out too fast, which was part of the whole idea of getting them. Save space and keep them small while I reset and flower everything.

So im gonna try and keep doing that, I just caught up on watering in a big way, so im gonna just go to town giving them haircuts and cuttings.

I don't have any sterile scalpel blades so im soaking them in bleach water and sharpening as needed. I've a tiny tabletop knife sharpener, it's super basic but gets the job done. Not sure if the rust is detrimental to the plants if bleach sanitized it.

Gonna see if I can re organize the 2 currently full trays and sanitize the needed 4 inch pots for anything that's a single. It will grow faster but i only have 10 mini trays and a 4 inch pot takes less space than those anyway.

Filled a tray with cuttings of 10 cultivars. 38-40 cuttings in there.

Still need to clone more but it's starting to come together. finally rooting and organizing stuff like I want to be. Need to be cutting the plants back after this.

Sprayed Gary Payton with sulfur and purecrop1.

Nice setup!

Nice setup!
Thank you mate, just pulled the trigger on ordering 10 more. Not sure if I'll use them for actual cloning, the lids are pretty short, but they're good for organization, preventing cross contamination, bottom watering, and if i see some clones (like AnB, she demands humidity) wilting or drooping I can grab one and pop them in there from the uncovered tray instead of putting the whole dome on and stop the whole tray from hardening off.

Plus as I mentioned I am running this on a bare shoestring budget (I cut money elsewhere, people help me, etc) so I take in a lot of clones to verify, learn, experiment, and develop my baseline knowledge, but I *cannot* afford continual hlvd testing. It takes about 3x testing in very strict quarantine, per cultivar/cutting, to ensure you aren't missing traces of hlvd that haven't spread to the rest of the plant / group. That's 75 dollars minimum, per 3 tests.

So if I ever need to reset because my garden is fucked and hot, I will be starting from scratch, and will use/develop much more strict protocols with the increased amount of experience and knowledge. That means using these trays and strict quarantine / separation of each cultivar. I will know what plants I truly want by that point, is the hope. For now I try and clean and sanitize and avoid cross contamination but I'm still getting better.

Day 59 flower, still chugging along. 32 days til gmos done. Most are ripening though, Not HP13 and strawberry Gary are almost ready for chop. As24 and sherb about week 10, cake 11.

End of day 60 soon

Scoped strawberry gary and hiro4 due to orange hairs.. still all mostly clear. No worries there.

Hiro4 as usual is 3 days behind so day 57. 13 to 20 days left on that then wpff wash.

20241108_052941.jpg

2 stalks of HiRo4. You can see the orange hairs. Very dank.

I still struggle with humidity sometimes also so bugs are still popping up.

Strawberry Gary. You can see why GP is a trimmers dream. This is a good representation of that flower structure. Sg is (Gary Payton x red pop) iirc.

Need to check my GP cutting I don't think it's gonna make it. Gonna try and grab it for the SG reversal to make a fem gp bx1. I don't like cookies and cream so much but the starfighter is legit and so is that strawberry cut of mimosa that these dudes pass around. Raw, xotic, sol. So hopefully see less forum and more strawberry and Gary.

@Shevchenko you asked about my GMO clone, here it is! My apologies for the bugs, but you can see the massive yield on one gallon! I take this another 31 days if I can manage!

I did not start the flower run in the 8x4 yet and I'm cutting it very close on running out of bud. So instead of the dawgsbreath seed run, not sure if I mentioned this already, but the Tahoe I played bondage bonsai with? Might pop that in a 15 gal and put it in there after harvest and cleanup. Along with underdog, irene, chemd possibly. Just love those plants and want more to smoke on hand. Plus it'll be fun to see that Tahoe wreath become a tall crown of beautiful og.

Some dude on top dawg discord didn't seem to understand that the true Tahoe og is a clone only. Anybody know what's up with people thinking the skunktek Tahoe is different?

So I took these pics for ya guys but I'm still busy as hell. Clones been hardening off decent, those mini trays arrive in a day and a half or so. Gonna fill a tray today in a bit along with watering and defol/haircuts.

Pretty happy with my flower results but I wanna crank these plants out after I get my garden and place clean. This is just the tip of the iceberg for me. I want to learn and continue to crush plant after plant. Leaving a bunch of dead plants in my wake but can't learn without making mistakes.
