It is still weak man. What do you think Your gunna get off one of those plants?? Im not saying you did a bad job. I am saying that the bud can be alot thicker there.

I am pretty confident on these doing right nice.

Yes they are just closer shots of those main plants I didn't want to mix them in.

I hope you prove me wrong, but I just dont think LEDS have the power like an HPS. The penetration really. Thats why I added the cfls in my grow. Take a look

Its worth noting that you used a sketchy LED panel. Its been proven that plants respond best to LEDs outputting in a specific light spectrum. Individual LED diodes in that spectrum are incredibly expensive, so it would be in a manufacturer's best interest to increase their profit margin by using LEDs that are unsuited for plant growth. I'm just assuming this since I can't find any technical information about your panel. But this would explain why so many people like you are seeing bad results with their LEDs, because they buy cheap, poorly-designed panels.

As for penetration, according to LEDgirl, most panels output the light at 120 degrees, a very broad and inefficient angle for maximum light penetration. Her lights are made with either a 60 degree or 30 degree angle and therefore should have much better penetration.

So for these reasons I'm betting on S_a_H proving you waaay wrong. I'm not hating or trying to advertise for LEDgirl, just making sure the facts are straight. Though I'll admit that I'm skeptical of the claims for LEDs, especially that a 126w panel is the equivalent of a 400w HPS. I can't wait for all of these LED grows to finish up and give us some real 100% credible evidence.

But....I just saw this a few minutes ago.

In this test grow, 378w LED were tested against 1000w HPS, and the results aren't spectacular in LEDs favor. LED yielded 329g and the HPS yielded 939g. The results aren't a complete punch in the face to LEDs, as it yielded .87 g/wattm but that certainly doesn't match up with LEDgirl's claims. They are definitely still a great deal if heat is a major concern.

I'm still hoping that LEDgirl isn't a complete liar and scammer, but the truth will be unveiled soon

Any idea what just one plant from each weighed ? Because I don't care what a 1000w light did because there is no way to put one in my space. Thats why I am doing my test. I want to find out how they work in low sqft space because if I was to put a 1000w light in there I would have temps around 100+. Sure you can put AC's and other equipment to battle high temps but as I stated I am working in small space.

Sure the 1000w light is going to cover more sqft space then the LED but I wonder what just one plant weighed against the other was.

here's the link from the "see what our customers are doing," thread. can't argue with the benefits in a small space. but the outlandish claims....

The 3 and 5 watt LEDs are gimmicks. They are so expensive and they DON'T make the correct wavelengths in those high watts. Call a manufacturer and ask them. I'm going with CREE LED. I've ordered three different LED from ebay sellers and one from someone else with 1 watt CREE and the 1 watt CREE are like roids compared to the others. All LEDs are not created equally.

it seem most leds are gimmicks. the haight solid state use 6w i think and is the cheapest led panel per watt. yea, my hydro store guy specifically warned me about those ebay leds. they said the best that they've seen is from theorem innovations.

First off just like Ledgirls claims you have to also take this guys advice the same. He is a salesman and wants to sell you what he has for sale.

Sooner or later there is going to be technology that does work and that guy is still going to be saying the same thing because like Autoflowers they base everything off of one thing years ago.

Follow your thread and ask the poster what one plant from each weighed.

Now you also have to add that I got these for free so I won't be as pissed as others that bought them. If others bought units without researching LEdgirl and her product and not waiting for these grows we are doing to finish then I am not sure how sorry for them I feel.

I am not sure how the flowering is going to end but I tell you if they veg other strains like these were then I am going to be continuing to use them for that. The side branching was crazy and really created some bushes. As soon as this grow is finished for me I am starting some more of the same seeds but under a 400wMH and 600w HPS in a cool tube.

MY Case CLosed Right here!!! Just look what you wrote!!

I use LED Panel 45 watter. i know it is not the best. LEDS are great for Vegging, Not for Flowering!!

on the edit i understand, gotta do what you have to do. i got the link from her forum but, i understand your job.

you make valid points. some fyi tho. when she came to icmag i was intrigued because, i was gonna swap my 1000w lumatek for cfls for all the reasons one would grow with leds in theory. so, i'm all for leds. my current stance comes from my own research and the valued opinion of my hydro store guys, who first and foremost are good stand up guys who look out for their customers. they grow herb too so, their cool and will break down many issues and are honest and knowledgeable. i know there's a bunch money hungry hydro stores out there but, to be honest they don't have to sell anything their stores pretty much run themselves. anyway, i was falling for ledgirls rap, i mean it sounded real good. but, i thought let me ask some guys who would probably know about a topic i was unfamiliar with, my cool as dudes at the hydro store. you can liken the long sit down we had to that of a open minded father who believes their child should be told the truth about all subjects and given all the facts for and against, but, still letting that child come to their own conclusions. so, our relationship is a little deeper than customer and salesman, you feel me. the guys really broke it down from inception of leds to where we are at this moment. if you go back to my posts when i brought the conversation up with ledgirl you can see her start what is clear to me now as evasive maneuvers and damage control. everything you state as a benefit was told to me but, the main thing i was told to question was the flowering phase. excellent veg was not in question from me i was told it was stellar with leds. but, lets not lose site of what was claimed and settle for anything less. reference the i'm confused about something thread and the discussion thread in the led social group i started that was deleted.

oh, yeah that's a sweet deal for you getting them for free, can't knock that one bit, lucky you. but, let's keep things 100. don't you think it's up to the cadre to hold the communities best interest at heart? i mean we're all grown ups and shouldn't need anyone to help us take a piss. but, you have to call a spade a spade. i understand the business side for the website, but, us faithful members deserve some sort of scam protection. think about those who won't get their money back. i know your not obligated to care if someone jumped out the window, but, shouldn't this fall under the same mmj cultivation ethics that apply to any expert facilitating help to a novice. i saw a lot of reputable cash croppers on here making soome experienced and reasonable comments about their led experiences fall by the way side. everything them and my hydro store guys said was true. damn, near everything ledgirl said was an over exaggeration to say the least and that's being extremely generous.

ledgirl said it herself there's nothing different in her lights than all the other chinese lights except she has a narrower lens. isn't that odd how she deleted that statement when i caught it and brought it up. i know you see the bullshit. hey, i'm an entrepreneur but, i hold integrity in very high regard and my spider senses went way up after my hydro store guy broke the whole led market and industry down to me. i feel it's my duty to tell the truth when i here shit that i know not to be true. come on now, how can you say your the #1 led company in the world. i mean i get high as we all do but, not that high.

by the way, my hydro store will special order certain leds but, only those from theorem innovations because, they are the best from their and customers experience. so, it's not about the money. he could of easily suckered me into buying one at that point, but, he advised against it because, the technology wasn't there yet. not advertising and in all honesty i won't buy their light. if and when i do purchase a led i might go with the haight.

Yeah, that would be useful information, as it is exactly the same reason I am soon-to-be growing under LED. But so far, despite the negativity, these lights look perfect for small sq. ft. grows.

Also, interestingly, that grower on 420mag didn't veg the plants under led, so the results probably could have been a bit better.
