Leaf edges yellowing

Just curious if you guys can help me out with something...One of my plants has something going on with it's leaves....the edges are turning golden brown. It's only on the jagged point on the sides of the leaves, and only the leaves on the bottom 2/3 of the plant. It's otherwise very healthy...Any ideas as to why it is doing this? I have it in soil, it's MG soil so I haven't given it anything other than a 1/2 solution of fish emulsion. I prolly shouldn't have done that but oh well, my other plants are loving it...any ideas??

few things can cause your leaf to brown out, most times over fert(not your case) is at the tips and works back, root bound can do it but usually the leaf yellows totally. mag def will do it as well and start as a lite green all around the leaf edge and continue in browin out the leaf. also under fert looks just like mag def, and starts with the lower leaf.

I just got back from my growroom. All my plants are doing well. I took a few pics and got one of the problem I am describing. It's not as clear as I would have liked but here it is...

looks like they need a bit of feed, as the center of the leaf looks good.

hi tokinjoe.....don't hear at immortal...his wrong her diagnosis...ur situation is not a problem of feeding....these are the signs of an underwatering for few days..
and ur roots respond as this....
use water only for the next two days...and continue with ur nutes as ever...

if u want to add mag ...follow the rule of the milliliters..2ml\liter in veg 4 ml per liter in flowering..and if u combine them with the other add 1ml each 3ml of nutes...\liter....

@immortal....where do u have catch the idea of a mag def?????

I was wondering if I had over-fertilized them actually. I put em in Miracle Gro potting soil (yeah, I know don't say it) and then gave them fish emulsion half strength about a week after transplanting in the MG soil. Other than the jagged tips turning golden color, the plant is damn healthy..Every time I see something going on like that I feel like they are trying to tell me something...lol I feel like a parent, responsible for every little thing...Peace. :canabis: TJ

cbf...if the center of the leaves is like that is totally impossible that there's a DEF....
for me it's a pre-burning situation...but not for over fert---only for a dry situation in the soil that combine much concentration of nutes as they needs...
it sound like a PRE-overfert (just a yellow-alarm)

over fert begins right at the tip and works its way up the leaf is my experience, had a few plants this last grow that i was feedin like the others and had the same symptoms. I thought it was mag as they were bein fed. after usin some epsom salt the leaf continued to brown off. gave the plant a extra feedin and alls good now. just was needin a bit more than the others.

could well be what your describin, makes sence as well.

Ok well my plants have older leaves that look kinda like NOS's pic and I hear from several sources that bogglegum uses alot of mag. I sprayed them with a light dose to see how they react as they are not ready for a watering yet.

Im agreeing with CBF on this one, , when ive burnt , it has started at the end tip and down the leaf, where this is on the very tips of the serrations all the way down right??? MNow when ive seen mag def, it has seemed to start more as patches in between the veins!
Just my opinion!

I would go with nute burn. Mag def starts from the bottom of the plant and works its way up. You are just of the edge of burning.....water with just pH balanced water for the next few feedings.....then resume 1/2 strength a couple feedings.....then resume regular strength.
Thats my two cents.

Adding fish emulsion to a Pre Ferted Potting Soil constitutes double dosing your plants with food. Miracle Grow has all the food in it a plant needs for several weeks at least. My guess is you overferted. The good news is this is temporary since the food in the soil is being washed out as you water them and will be gone entirely soon.

Good luck joe

I've gone ahead and flushed all of my plants last night. The femmed bbxnl probably didn't need it, they are taking the nutes like a champ!! The AK definately seems to be weaker and more fickle about what they like...I wish everything grew like the big bud x northern lights does. Damn what a hardy plant!!
